A greatly enjoyable game. It has fantastic controls; moving Frogger from tile to tile is quick and snappy. The enemy and obstacle patterns are quite enjoyable in part due to the great controls and while the game is decently hard the challenge, with the exception of two minor incidents, is always fair and satisfying. The game is an example **** being simple yet fun. The levels are decently varied too, with several different locations that Frogger will visit throughout five worlds. The game also has bosses, which, except for the forth one, are good. The final boss is especially great. The only major issue with the game is its length, only being about an hour long. Still, that's not too big a deal today as the game can be found for cheap.
Frogger's latest game may not be the same gameplay as the original Frogger but there is no reason to pass this up, the graphics and sound are good as are the controls, and the challenge is hard but fun and rewarding, it's your basic puzzler that will have you coming back for more.
This is a fun, but short game. This is a well designed, solid Frogger game. It has some good puzzles and level design. But the game overall is a bit short, especially if you know what to do. I've been able to beat the game in under an hour. I've had it for years, so I know what to do. It can take longer if you don't know, but it's still kind of short. It's definitely not a bad game, it's good. The length of the game and the lack of extra stuff is what keeps it from being great.
By no means is it a bad game, a 6 is pretty commendable in all honesty, the game is just really bland. Left me wanting for more because the game play was so strong but all the bad story left me with skipping every dialogue box every chance I could get. The worst offender are probably the designs; using the Great Quest designs, the character portraits look awful and the 3D-2D sprites of the goblins looked horrendous on a GBA. It's prone to also have numerous perspective issues with it's cliffs and drop offs where its unclear what plane you're supposed to hop to. Don't buy this game to play on your real Gameboy advance, but play it on a free Chromebook browser emulator to pass the time.
