Royal Revolt 2 is a good game, with consistent mechanics and pretty visuals, but some of its new features are not convincing and the freemium part is very limiting.
Royal Revolt II is fun, but not as fun as its predecessor. You can fight against other people and challenge them with your troops, but in order to actually win against the strongest opponents, you need to pay real money. While the game is completely playable totally free of charge, microtransactions are basically everywhere.
This games is fun. I never paid anything. Attack defenses of real people. This provides a lot of variety. I enjoy making strategies based on the defense i am about to attack. Lots of gems easily available by winning tournaments. Even lucky chests after every fight provide opportunities to get some goodies. If you play longer, you become stronger. Joining an alliance (which is easy) makes it even more fun. I have been playing this game for many months and enjoying it. Just don't expect to be complete the game in few weeks. As you grow stronger, you can take on tougher opponents. It is your choice, whether you want to fight an opponent at your level, higher level or lower level. The reward is determined by how much unprotected gold is available with your opponent. The temporary boosts also change the dynamic. Those who can persist will enjoy the variety.
It´s so boring. Like every flaregames game. At the beginning it´s is very funny and I liked it. But after one or two days... ...it´s always the same, again again and again. And at the same time there is this huge pay to win factor - don´t give pay to win a chance!
Fun yet sometimes frustratingly slowly paced, Royal Revolt 2 is a conflicting reverse tower defense game, and not one for those who despise freemium elements.
If you hated the "Pay-to-Stop-Yourself-From-Getting-Frustrated" mechanics(like Dungeon Keeper for iOS), you will hate this game. The game is punishingly slow paced, which can be offset by spending real cash or by SPAMMING REQUESTS to your facebook friends. Once they run out, the real pain shows..
The game lets you save the names of upto 10 players, whom you can repeatedly attack for crowns. (There is a reason why CashOfClans and other online battle games dosnt allow saving names, to avoid harrassment, which Royal Revolt 2 is so blatantly allows) There are Youtube videos showing how to "bully" someone out of their money and earn crowns easily (and **** all fun until some powerfull CASH PLAYER saves YOUR name and spams attack you till you bleed dry. After 5 attacks, there is a penalty, and they wont get much resource but once you login, the counter is reset and he can attack you like its the first time, without penalty.
So if you are someone who plays once or twice a day, get ready to be r@ped. The first game was single player based and you didn't need to spend real money to finish the game, and enjoy it. This is an online game, all the fun of the first game is gone...just be prepared to fall into the abyss of PAY TO WIN hell.
Another slow paced trash that just want to **** your money and offer almost nothing in return. Mobile games using this model is a plague that needs to be stopped.
