Monsters Ate My Metropolis is bursting with personality that is overlaid on top of an enjoyable game, making it well worth picking up.
Cute visuals and crude humor make this a pleasant game to play if you’ve got nothing else to do. [11/2015, p.67]
Monsters Ate My Metropolis is a decent card battler, packed with a lot of funny animations.
It's an interesting game, but one whose structure is decidedly up for debate. But it is worth a download, if only because it has the greatest victory song ever. It is glorious and you have to hear it for yourself.
The slower pace governing Monsters Ate My Metropolis won’t appeal to everyone, especially since its bouncy graphics and silly soundtrack gives the impression that the game is supposed to fly by at a million miles per hour. However, anyone who likes a touch of goofiness with their strategy will have fun matching their fart attacks against a city’s retaliatory bio-waste spill.
There's still something to Monsters Ate My Metropolis, but its different take on destruction isn't as immediate as its predecessor.
