Even though Ary and the Secret of Seasons may not be the best action nor the best adventure game out there, it is unique in the way you decide how to change the environment around you.

Ary and the Secret of Seasons proved highly enjoyable overall, bringing some solid Zelda-esque action to a beautiful yet chaotic world. But it’s hard to ignore the game's technical faults, even if the developers are working diligently to fix them.

Ary and the Secret of Seasons has everything a great adventure game needs: a good story, great characters, no repetitive puzzles and an innovative game idea ... BUT it has to struggle with an unbelievable number of bugs.

Ary and the Secret of Seasons loses its charm quickly due to the technical shortcomings and bland combat.

The season-themed puzzles are exciting. The numerous bugs, tedious sidequests and bleak combat not so much.

Ary and the Secret of Seasons has some good qualities. However, they're almost always in danger of being trampled by the game's consistent lack of polish and stream of bugs.

It’s easy to see what Ary is aiming for. The ambition is certainly there, but the execution is off. Way off. At best it’s a clunky mess. At worst it’s broken and near-unplayable. It’s clear Ary was in need of a few more seasons of development before release.

The story isn't the best, but it is entertaining and though there are some predictable points, it has a few twists. I recommend playing the game when most of the bugs are fixed since the price might not be worth it in the state the game is, but IF the game is fixed, it is fun and enjoyable. Expand

The story is interesting and there is some humour. The combat is a Zelda type of action. The problem is with multiple enemies that uses different types of defence. You have to use the season switching mechanism, but it's simply difficult to separate them. The graphics are cell shaded. Some area are better then others. There is a lot of clipping and limit drawings. The winter snowing and under water bubbles, are extremely tiresome for the eyes. The level design has large area with nothing in it, then you get the temples that are really too complex at times. No balance in the designing. I stopped the game at the winter boss, the one before the ending boss. By putting systems over systems, all you get are very complex combat that test the limit of the platforming gaming, and the patience of the gamer. So, the game experience went slowly from fun to painfully frustrating. I give the game 58%. The game is there but the realization is just too unequal on all levels. Expand

This game is so poorly optimized on ultra settings, that I had to frantically make sure I didn't just install a bitcoin miner on my PC.

Only recommend if you are looking for an alternative to traditional GPU stress testing.
Music and graphics aren't bad though. Season mechanic would be pretty good too if I could apply the Winter spell to the GPU while playing.

terrible buggy game filled with lots of places to get trapped, poor fighting mechanics and bosses you won't have a clue how to beat.
