Traitorweeds that charm enemies and Breezeblooms that boost you into the air are just a couple of examples. Once a long-gone company's testing ground for weaponry and biological experiments, the dusty wastes of Gehenna are now lorded over by genetically modified beasts and their keepers, the vicious Devil Riders gang. If you're eager to travel to Gehenna and hunt the Devil Riders but not far enough into the Borderlands 3 story to use Sanctuary III, level-boost straight to campaign add-on content when creating a new Vault Hunter so you can head there right away. Enemies and loot on the all-new frontier planet will scale to your Vault Hunter's level, so you'll be suitably challenged and rewarded as you explore the dusty wastes and cut canyons in search of your quarry. As you complete new story and side missions on Gehenna, your actions will have a tangible and lasting impact on the locals' livelihoods and on the town of Vestige itself. Help out the Vestige townsfolks and the Sheriff's bounty won't the only reward you collect. Expect new Legendary items, Vault Hunter Heads, Vehicle Skins, Interactive Room Decorations, and more. As a whole, Bounty of Blood is well worth the time and cost because it really is an enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this DLC and look forward to what else Gearbox has up their sleeves. It’s nice to see they were able to get this game back on course after putting ourselves through that painful main campaign.

With well-paced comedy, fun boss fights, an East-meets-West setting I absolutely love, and some serious high-powered loot, Borderlands 3: Bounty of Blood is the most Borderlands Borderlands since Borderlands. Yeah, this is some great DLC. ! The clever main story, the use of the grizzled narrator, and some cool new characters make these some of my favorite Borderlands hours in almost a decade. I wish the freshness had carried over to the sidequests, but there's enough in the way of exploration and collectibles and strong writing to make up for the numerous fetch quests that still rear their ugly heads.

Bounty of Blood is a short but successful DLC. Adds some interesting mechanics and timidly tries to innovate a game system that, however, really begins to feel the weight of repetitiveness.

On the narrative front, there are some valuable creative flashes, perfectly consistent with the tones of a western story that moves within a stylistically excellent setting, but we cannot help but perceive the DLC as a wasted opportunity.

Bounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemption is the most interesting DLC of those proposed to date. Although it requires the usual 7-8 hours for 100% completition, thanks to an all new cast it manages to offer a little more. Smooth storyline, interesting atmosphere and endless weapons, all with a comic touch in pure Borderlands style.

Bounty of Blood just tries to do so many things that it ends up becoming a cacophony of concepts.

Not to be overly negative, though, considering Borderlands 3 still offers the kind of loot diversity that most competing titles could only dream of. It's still the best in its class, but its class isn't particularly innovative or inspiring from a gameplay or interactivity perspective.

A fun dlc with a western type feel to it. The environments are awesome and the story is simple and fast paced.

Answering a call for a Bounty Hunter; the Vault Hunter(s) arrive on the planet of Gehenna which has been largely forgotten after being exploited by one of the big companies in years past.

The planet is a hybrid of the Old West and current Borderlands technology and is populated with all manner of dangerous creatures; many which resemble Dinosaurs.

Upon arriving at the town of Vestige’ players learn that the town is under attack by a vicious gang known as the “Devil Riders”. You are then tasked with eliminating the threat and taking down their leader to collect the Bounty.

Naturally there is much more in play as a larger threat is revealed and players will have to fight their way through various areas to get to the bottom of the mystery and save the day.

The game has lots of action and introduces many new characters while omitting appearances from any past characters in the series. There are abundant new weapons as one would expect in a Borderlands game and the Western theme offered up some great locales and visuals as well as some great music. The game has a narrator which adds a new dimension to the game as it is fun to hear how some of your actions become known as events such as the “Bathhouse Massacre” as an example.

The DLC did not seem as long as the past two did and did not seem as challenging as I was able to complete the campaign on my own and did not have any areas where I was challenged to complete.

There are side missions as well and some will present themselves after the game and credits end so players who want to continue to explore will have many opportunities to do so.

There are also new environmental weapons that players can use to cause destruction or briefly control enemies which adds a new dimension to the game.

Bounty of Blood is a solid and highly-enjoyable DLC for the game and I look forward to seeing what the next DLC offers up.

I like westerns, but this sucked. The main villian is 1-dimensional and doesn't even feel like a threat ever. The lore of the planet is "company is bad ree" also Judo looks like a man but sounds like a woman, is that intentional? The narrator was neat, but I didn't care about the narrator. The final boss was really cool looking, but very disappointing. And the cutscene just before the final boss is stupid as well, what even happened? I really disliked this DLC. Expand

Have you ever wanted to play through the most predictable storylines this game has had since it's inception? Have you ever wanted to findHave you ever wanted to play through the most predictable storylines this game has had since it's inception? Have you ever wanted to find top-tier loot that has worse stats than you've been carrying since the Handsome Jackpot? Have you ever wanted to kill a final boss, and find that the highest-tier loot it dropped was two blues? Have you ever wondered what it would be like if Borderlands decided to give up on it's typical humor? Have you ever wanted to walk through a town, and every time you come within 50 yards of certain objects hear the narrator say the same line over and over again ("Fancy lookin' tech right there. Didn't seem like the vault hunter could use it yet though")? Have you ever wondered what it's like to find more enjoyment in lighting your own testicles on fire and rolling around in used hypodermic needles than playing the DLC you paid fifteen bucks for? Then do Gearbox and 2K have just the thing for you!

This DLC isn't worth three dollars, let alone the fifteen it's priced at. If you haven't already paid for it, don't bother.
The story is boring and predictable, even the side quests are rehashes of the side quests from elsewhere in the franchise. The primary enemies are stale reskins of the same bandits, with the only exception being one particular enemy, which I only saw actually do it's "special move" once, which is to teleport enemies in like Tyreen did. The non-bandit enemies aren't anything to write home about either--you've got the "Devils" which are just renamed saurians, "Wyrms" which are basically someone saying "What would happen if you made a rakk into a snake, and made it spit," and you've got "Belliks" which are likely the only unique thing I could find. Enemies were incredibly easy to kill, to the point that the only times I actually died were when I had to kill myself, because my character got stuck half-way in the terrain, because at the end of the day, the bugs are as bad, if not worse than early release of the actual game. The weapons are no different than any of the other weapons you've been able to find throughout the game, and, for the most part, are actually worse than the weapons you've likely been carrying for quite a while now. Most of the chests, including the red and white chests, produced grey-tier weapons--quest reward weapons are similarly low tier, albeit higher "quality" and score, but only just barely enough to warrant their existence.
The story is clunky, short, predictable, forced, and much of the acting skills reflect the writing. The "reveal" of who "The Company" truly is, obviously, is meant to be some sort of "Oh damn" surprise moment, but in reality, the answer is thrown in your face since minute one of understanding what the DLC is even about.
