Chorus is a veritable smorgasbord of action, exploration, and captivating story. One that I’ll enjoy for many moons to come.

By the time I rolled credits, there was no doubt that Chorus was the best space combat game I’ve played in years. The thrill of dynamic space combat coupled with a compelling narrative and overall superb design make this one an absolute a must-play.

The space battles in Chorus are good, piloting its agile super-powered fighter through enemy fire while devastating hordes of enemies is fun. This efficient gameplay is its strength, and the special powers are well integrated into the gameplay. The fights tend to become too easy, but the boss battles compensate. The exploration is unfortunately not there as the open world is empty, it is more an excuse for dialogues and additional battles. However, it has the merit of being very pleasant to look at. The realization is quite good, whether it is through the graphics, the music, and even the cinematics and dialogues. So, we spend a good time on Chorus, during the twenty hours to finish it the first time.

Chorus is an epic space expedition with some great components, but some weak points as well. All this does not mean that you will not enjoy it, but do not expect anything special from it

Chorus can be an entertaining space combat adventure at times, but the mediocre moments take a considerble toll.

Chorus is a game that works in the sense that it doesn't crash your desktop, but it's just an ambulatory shell with mere vestiges of soul left in it.

Let down by the occasional lack of polish in some missions, usually related to how tight their requirements are. But we're talking about three missions out of all the possible ones you can do. Great game, interesting characters, and a surprising coverage of themes of guilt, choices, and morality. Have fun with it. Expand

This is an excellent game for the price.

    Very lengthy campaign.

    Fleshed out characters.

Extremely satisfying flight combat and powers.

    Good music, good sound design.

Great vistas and locations to explore.

    Some cons:

Some powers fall by the wayside (blink and control), and are not worth spending the energy.

Constant whispering is cringe and annoying; but the voice actress is great when not whispering.

Dodging sniper fire feels super duper bad in this game.

    Dodging triple-sniper-fire feels even worse.

Certain sections of boss fights don't feel great specially (M___a, no spoilers), but generally, the boss fights are excellent.

    No aesthetic customizations.

This isn't a triple A game, but if you approach it knowing what it is - a high-effort AA game with tons of production value - then you will have tons of fun.

There is tons of potential for a sequel here. Hopefully the devs take what works and improve on it.

The story is interesting but the limited 'radio teleplay' style of dialogue gets a bit tiring (especially the lead characters whispering internal dialogue!). Things get repetitive fast in longer sessions of play but its a fantastic game to dip in and out of for intense 30 mins bursts of play. Expand

The story is completelyBafflingly bad dialogue, or whatever passes for a script for some desperate VA's attempt to get paid these days. The story is completely uninteresting, the visuals bland, and the gameplay is more reminiscent of something as old as "Descent" from 1995 then anything made in the last 20 years. If anyone went in expecting "Rogue Squadron" or something remotely fun, then that it most unfortunate for you because their is none of that here. Just a very poor cinematic opening with a bad script, and honestly a giant hallway that is basically the entire first area. Do they just think people are entirely too dumb to navigate anything larger than an elongated box these days? Very mediocre game and not worth anyone's time with so much else on the market. Expand

I'm stuck on the salvage mision, its literally the first 10 mins of the game. It says i need to salavage something, but it doesn't tell you where you need to go, It just so fking stupid, what fking idiot though ok, first 10 mins of the game, we'll give them a mission where they have to find something, but we don't tell them where to go,

You also can't save, why, because you can't save whilst on a mission, and your're always on a mission, as soon as you finish onem, it automatically starts a new one for you. Again, fking stupid, i don't understand how someone can spend years making a game, and make such a stupid fking design.
