Dec 6, 2019No real challenge, no way to lose, no penalty for death.
If you die you just re-spawn and rush back into the fight.
Bad camera angles can confuse you causing you to walk around in circles not knowing which way you should go.
The action is pretty basic, you just spam your attacks until you see a finisher is available, and you use it.
It's an OK game, but there are better options. -

Game World Navigator MagazineMar 6, 2020Although Genesis turned out to be a bit glitchy and buggy, and its parkour sequences are straight-out torturous, all in all it it’s a pretty successful experiment. [Issue#243, p.48]

Mar 3, 2020Despite the fundamental changes to the series' viewpoint, Darksiders Genesis feels like a true Darksiders game, and banishes any memory of the lacklustre third entry.

Mar 2, 2020What Airship Syndicate have done is show the world that the Darksiders IP is more than a one-trick pony, and for those who’ve not been tempted by the core franchise entries up until this point, there is now a very different sample of the IP with which to taste.
