It is exciting to play a shooter, it is a satisfying to play strategy game. Doing both things at the same time, it is just glorious. Disintegration is extremely balanced for being the first take at this new genre, and it is very well polished, too. The worldbuilding is fascinating, the story is not too bad, but the writing of characters and dialogues is terrible. Luckily the game is just so good.

Disintegration shows a lot of promise, but it’s hard to get away from that nagging feeling, one that tells me this just feels like Early Access. The story is okay, and the combat is fine, but the potential here is far greater than what is actually on offer. There are some good moments, and it is enjoyable, but the story and multiplayer lack much to be desired. If you want a simple sci-fi romp then look no further, but if you’re looking for the next big Halo then you’re going to want to look elsewhere.

Disintegration could have been a lot worse than an “alright” campaign and a decent multiplayer mode. Given V1 Interactive tried something novel and tried to blend genres and it could have been a directionless mess. What we got, however, was a neat idea with a lot of potential to be something greater, with an execution good enough to prove the concept works. The multiplayer is much better than the campaign, if only because it’s not bogged down with the same design choices as a single-player mode. In saying that, it’s still worth checking out for what could very well end up being the first emergence of a great new genre.

A good RTS/Action game that doesn't get the player's attention during its campaign but does have a great multiplayer way to enjoy the mechanics. Sadly, it doesn't reach our expectations.

It’s still decent fun, though; which is the game in a nutshell. Disintegration teems with potential and it would certainly be interested to see its ideas expanded upon. But if this fun, flawed first attempt can find enough traction for the team to have another crack remains to be seen. I rather hope it does.

Disintegration is a unique game held back by oftentimes irritating and dull game design and a weak campaign. While practically everything about the world and gameplay is unlike anything I’ve played before, too little of it succeeds in being consistently enjoyable.

An unsatisfying mix of shallow strategy and low-energy shooting, Disintegration is hard to recommend to fans of either genre.

Basically, this game is beyond worth it!
It has rough patches that are easily overlooked due to the non-impact it has on your gameplay and/or story-telling,
the innovative gameplay takes just a while to get used to, it's pretty easy to control once you give it a go a few times (there is a tutorial before either the multiplayer or singleplayer)
the only difficulty gameplay-wise is the different teams in multiplayer since they all have different stats and abilities, but there you can test them before playing.

overall... this is a game that I have been waiting for, for a long time!
maybe it's just the coincidence of mixing stuff I love, but I do love this game!

I do hope for more in the future, V1interactive gave the first step, lets hope for many more in this journey!

This game is different and unlike any other shooter out there. I found myself replaying every mission, each time playing on higher difficulty.

Loved the campaign with its interesting story and unique characters. It left me wanting a sequel. You have to try the gameplay with FPS and RTS--very fun and satisfying once you get the hang of it. I've only done a little multiplayer so far, but seems great so far. Love the visuals and rich environments. Good job, V1, on this first release. Def worth the price. Looking forward to more. Expand

I wish there was more strategy to the game, and to feel that my decisions to have bigger impact on the flow of the battle. The game is good, it's not perfect, the developer team is small but it seems a promising first game on this series. The concept of controlling an anti gravity bike is really cool and fun to see the battlefield from this POV. Give it a try. Expand

In today's day and age with titles only being online-only and featuring no campaign, it's nice to see a company making a game with both online capability and a decent campaign for their game even though the campaign is kinda corny.

The Disintegration campaign consists of 12 missions, if played on Regular difficulty it will take you about 9 hours to complete. Give or take if you die at specific missions as I did. Disintegration has many cut-scenes some are very detailed and some even detailed to real-life locations. It's a cliche hero story, though it was fun to play going through its humor moments to its sad moments.

I do though have to say, $50 seems like a steep price for this type of game with out-of-game currency. Out-of-game currency? Sadly, you can buy skins with currency that you can buy with real-world money ranging from $4.99, $9.99, $19.99 and $49.99.

I do agree that the developers need some sort of income to help develop this game further with free DLC and content, though I feel like they could have done it a better way. Maybe a Battle Pass similar to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare with new weapons where you can earn new Gravcycles through this Pass. For those without the Pass or if the Pass has ended, the user can unlock this Gravcycle through in-game challenges.

Multiplayer is fun just like the campaign where you can control a crew but instead of doing it all alone, you have teammates on your side this time. Hopefully, cross-play with console players gets hammered out soon so the player-base for multiplayer can stay active.

39 daily players? One week after it has been launched? In a multiplayer game for the price of Cyberpunk or Doom Eternal? This is the fail. RIP
