Dec 20, 2015Oh my god this edition to the Fallout series is embarrassing. This game is more of an Action FPS rather than an RPG! The dialog has been dumbed down to a terrible dialog wheel, and your character has a pre selected background that you CANNOT change.
The only thing I can say about this game is that it has the best gun play out of all the fallout games, but that's really about it. -

Dec 21, 2015Fallout 4 appeals to the lowest common denominator and in the process strips away everything that made the series amazing to begin with. The game was entertaining and was a fairly competent first person shooter/RPG hybrid. But as a fallout game it is extremely lacking. I do not have high hopes for the series in the future.

Jan 31, 2016This game is trash, the soul of fallout is make decisions, you can finish Fallout NV whitout killing a single person (main history only) this game is just a bad copy of borderlands, shot, kill and be a stupid. F*** this game.

Mar 8, 2016I am done with Bethesda. To call this a RPG is a joke. I doubt I will buy another game from them ever again. The writing, dialog, and character build is so simple and dull. Just run around and kill stuff. I wish Obsidian would get to make a real Fallout game.

Apr 21, 2016Basically it's a blank slate. It could be a game but it isn't. If only they let obsidian use this engine to make a game it could be great. It's basically call of duty and not an rpg. There are like 4 side quests and there's no choice in what you do. You can choose a faction but after that no choice.

Mar 11, 2016Absolutely the worst Fallout game in the series. Like other reviewers have stated, the game is consist of nonsensical/boring storyline, uninteresting world, and terrible combat mechanics.
-
Feb 3, 2016Terribly flat dialogues, almost no improvement in graphics, non existent RPG! Totally disgrace for Fallout series. I hope Bethesda will suck enough money from this and sell rights on Fallout to someone else.

Jan 15, 2016Ill keep this simple.
This game is a pretty ocean 1 inch deep. Its a shame that people think that this is a RPG.
Only thing worth mentioning is the crafting system.
The so called "professional" critics give this game 95 points because they are on Bethesda's payroll.
It makes me sad to see where the gaming industry is going.
Tod Howard does it again. -

Nov 25, 2015It's a lousy first-person shooter trying to be a mediocre RPG. The best part of the game was the intro, and it went all downhill from there. Boring, tedious, and all-around shallow, Fallout 4 is the most disappointing title Bethesda has ever released.

Nov 15, 2015Apart from looking good, this game doesn't have one iota of substance. It's unerringly boring and repetitive, lacking even the slight glint held by previous installments in the series.
What're we doing today, Bob? OH, saving some settlers, again? That never gets old! -

Nov 12, 2015This game does not live up to my expectations. The beginning of game quite good, but after passing of the first city where give power armor... It becomes boring to play.
Also I want to note lag of dialogues in the Russian version when some characters speak.
As a result: game not failure, but also and also doesn't show something outstanding, fascinating. -

Dec 24, 2015Absolute rubbish - what a disgrace to bring such game in 2015! Nothing new, recycled same garbage engine from 2008. True game was Fallout 1/2 - i want to see real reboot of those.
CD Project RED needs to take this franchise over! -

Nov 14, 2015Is it even Fallout? Shooter in open world filled with linear quests(Never get tired of killing raiders or mutants in factories). RPG part is completely dead. Rest In Peace, Fallout franchise.
-
Mar 20, 2016I can summarize the game with one question. I need to write 150 chars in order to post review... sec...
Is fallout 4 a good game? :
(UP) YES
(RIGHT) MAYBE
(DOWN) LATER

Nov 21, 2015Bad story bad game play (for a fallout game) it screams unfinished it wishes it was CoD as it tries and pretends it is its a insult to all of fallout and i love bethesda but skyrim was lazy to and i hope you all get your stuff together but this isn't fallout this is some cartoon looking unfinished lazily made game
-
Nov 30, 2015It is a decent game, and I would give it 7-8 points, but 0 points is for ruining the Fallout series and claiming to be RPG.
This is more like Borderlands 3. -

Dec 2, 2015This game is a travesty. This is a simplified, dumbed-down, water-downed fallout experience. Not that I particularly care for this one game, but I''m afraid for the coming games in the future.
-
Dec 11, 2015They think if they add a dog into the game it will makes everything better no it wont. First the game got low graphic changes using old engine update not so much stuff from a great game. Fallout 4 is the most disappointing title Bethesda has ever released.

Dec 5, 2015Lacking in literally every area other than graphics compared to previous fallout games. Not worth the full price at all.
If you're a diehard FO1/2/NV fan, stay away from this one. -
Nov 27, 2015It is a sad game. Good polished presentation, but empty inside. Dialogues, story and characters are badly executed. It feels like epitaph of game industry, where all that money can produce such boring and shallow experience.
-
Nov 11, 2015Game blows....
boring
clunky
cringeworthy dialogue
tedious dialogue wheel
nothing new here, move along
never pre order a game again
graphics make it unplayable. just awful. solid game for 20$, not a penny more -

Nov 11, 2015"It just works."
Yes, releasing a linear "RPG" on a 10 year old engine, with uncountable bugs, while your company and you rake in millions in profit.
It sure as hell does work. For you. -

Nov 23, 201584. Well, I guess no bonuses, right? LMAO!
Bethesda, you failed so much. Why you even bought this franchise? Just give it to Obsidian. They know what is Fallout, unlike you. -
Nov 17, 2015I've clocked about 40 hours in this game. It's a good shooter I suppose but technically and storyline wise the game is a huge mess. It could have been so much better but they need to ditch this old ass engine and get some better writers.

Nov 20, 2015Old engine, Old texture requirements, old glitches, old problems. Why should I think this is a next gen game when I'm able to fix the problems using FO3 ini and console tweaks? Simply lowering the resolutions of the in game textures gives me the same FPS as Skyrim.

Nov 11, 2015Realy bad game. Hard to control your character and the world does not help. Apart from the glitches, the game suffers due to bad optimization. People say story>graphics. Well this game has both bad story and bad graphics. I would not recommend this game.

Nov 10, 2015Fallout became FPS with tiny RPG elements. Bethesda should have never did a Fallout game, this is terrible. This is not a Fallout, this is now FPS SIMS for 7 years old kids. Shame on you Bethesda.

Nov 11, 2015I can't believe how many of you just ran out and bought this game. I survived the Watch Dogs hype train, duped into buying AC: Unity, and now here I am. I almost bought this game. Almost. Then I thought about it for a second and realized, "every game I bought in the last 5 years was garbage". Guess Wall Street took advantage of Fallout's good reputation.
-
Nov 13, 2015Bad game, bad design decisions, Beth failing at making games again.
Armor and gear don't break
Dialogue wheel
Crappy level scaling
World doesn't feel too filled.
Bodies of dead NPC's glitch through the ground half out half under map.
Immortal companions. Really Todd you don't want us to re-load if a companion dies? Do you think I'm stupid?
All in all upset at Beth and Todd. -

CD-ActionFeb 4, 2016After terrible first couple of hours Fallout 4 pulled itself together and ultimately was almost as fun as The Witcher 3. There’s a huge chasm between these two games in terms of technology (F4 looks like a X360 game), but their open worlds are equally good and Bethesda did a better job with crafting. [01/2016, p.42]

Jan 19, 2016This isn’t the step forward I expected, though. Here we are, the first Bethesda game on a new hardware generation, and I can’t help feeling like we’ve regressed—like Fallout 4 really is Oblivion-with-guns. A decade later, it certainly makes many of the same mistakes.
-
Pelit (Finland)Jan 4, 2016It’s easy to get carried away by Fallout 4’s massive open world. While the gunplay is much improved and the quests fun, I found the UI lacking on the PC. The inventory and build menus are really tedious to use. [Dec 2015]
