    Superior graphics power as well great performance and customizing options elevate the PC version over its console brethren. Yet Mad Max still suffers severely from a lack of variety. It sports a giant, atmospheric world – but doesn’t give players enough meaningful tasks to complete in it.

    Is it a bad game? Absolutely not. On the contrary, Ubisoft's open-world template is perfect for churning out market-friendly games that tick all the boxes of "What People Want." Or, perhaps, "What You Want."...And honestly, Mad Max's formula is still to some extent "What I Want." Just not as much as a few years ago.

    Mad Max is a missed opportunity. The exceptional depiction of the Wasteland, the chaotic nature of the post-apocalyptic society, the excellent technical qualities and thrilling vehicle fights are held back by the mundane melee combat mechanics, the loose story, the repetitive nature of secondary objectives and the overall low-level challenge.

    Funny post-apocalyptic action game suffers by a too-much recycling. The game throws in the wild chases, awesome fights and eye-catching visuals.

    A chaotic dust bowl of an open world, rendered and recorded with Avalanche's usual technical excellence on PC. Like Max's car some parts are a little ramshackle, but if you stick to causing bedlam there's plenty of fun to be had.

    Orcs have been redressed as punks, and the rest is just another rehash of what we’ve seen in Batman: Arkham City and the Assassin’s Creed series. Every time I ascended in a hot air balloon to survey a new area and open it up on the map, I wanted to laugh and cry at the same time.

    For this particular game to have truly shined, we would have needed to see a much better narrative and a more varied set of missions. Unfortunately for gamers far and wide, Mad Max is far more likely to frustrate than entertain.

    The type which does not present a novelty for open world Mad Max. Repetitive missions. Is it fun to collect scrap metal?

    More than the carefully constructed language or the fidelity to a story that doesn’t need to be told, Mad Max is at its best when it offers some of that silence its hero swears to seek. It’s when Chumbucket shuts up, when no deals need to be bartered, when you can just drive—just you belching out fire and black smoke across the highways, shiny and chrome.

    I bought MGS V and Mad Max last night, I figured I would try Mad Max for an hour before i would start Metal Gear. This mad max game besides being beautufl graphically is so much fun, there is so much stuff to do in the game. My one little grip is that you cannot collect scrap metal by driving over it… Full Review »

    I have no idea where all these 80, 90 and 100 percent ratings are coming from. The game is fun for a couple hours but it is by no means "gameI have no idea where all these 80, 90 and 100 percent ratings are coming from. The game is fun for a couple hours but it is by no means "game of the year". The missions are incredibly grindy and repetitive. The combat is as easy as "block, then strike", the bosses are cookie cutter and the world is bland. The driving sucks. Just not feeling it.… Full Review »
