Although it is formulaic at times and some of the set missions such as protecting a boat with a helicopter gunship while it catches sharks for a restaurant are a bit cheesy, the challenge of making more money, spending it and gaining greater power are as addictive as the white substance that makes its way up Tony's nose.

Scarface: The World Is Yours Is LITERALLY Always One Of My All-Time Favorite Mafia & Gangster Games.
Tony Montana Is Literally Always One Of My All-Time Favorite Gangsters.
Given the cliché of terrible movie tie ins, I was most impressed with Scarface on that basis alone, but it does become easier to recommend the game when you consider that Scarface: The World Is Yours would be worth a play through even without Tony Montana.
As in the film, every other word is a four-letter one, and although the graphics can be a little choppy, the game is at least engrossing, with levels short enough to demand that they be replayed.
Brian De Palma’s film was an indictment of violence and capitalist greed; here they are your primary goal – the developer is relishing in the brutality and profanity and severely missing the point in the process. [Dec 2006, p.123]
For someone like myself who loves the movie, this game is a can't miss. It's basically GTA starring Tony Montana and a bunch of cocaine. It's a sequel of sorts, basically The Revenge of the Bad Guy. You have to go through all the names you know and love: Nacho Contreras, Gaspar Gomez, the Diaz brothers, and eventually, that f?&*in' Sosa and go straight (back) to 'da top. It has all the trappings of your typical sandbox crime game, for better or worse, but none of those other games let you play as Tony f&^ing Montana, the godfather of shooting people in the streets.
Andre Sogliuzzo is brilliant as the voice of Tony. He really turns this game into a magical experience for fans of Al Pacino's mush-mouthed performance. It has easter eggs galore from the movie, and it really delivers everything it should to Scarface fans.
"Uh, catch or check? Jos' kidding mang, catch is all I got."
Scarface (1983) was a great movie with one of the best roles of Al Pacino as Tony Montana. Playing GTA Vice City (2002) reminded me a lot of times of this movie but it didn't have Tony Montana. Enter "Scarface", the game... and what a game it is! Scarface: The World Is Yours looks better than GTA Vice City (and GTA San Andreas) and the gameplay is at least as good as those two games. Is it better? Well, lets say it's different and all three games are great!
The voice of Tony Montana is not done by Al Pacino, but some voice actor who did a good job at recreating his distinctive voice. The music in this game is very nice, i recognized a lot of songs from the movie. The driving and shooting are good for a PS2 game.
The game really feels like a sequel to the movie. In the movie Tony Montana lost everything, his empire, the money, his best friend, his girl and his sister. But in Scarface: The World Is Yours Tony is back, ready to take what belongs to him and build up his drugs empire once again.
You get to play in the city of Miami and also on the Cuban Islands. This brings a nice variation in the gameplay. A nice touch is the Blind Rage: shooting and taunting enemies will build up the Rage meter and once it's filled, Tony becomes temporarily invincible.
Unfortunately there is no multiplayer free roaming in this game, like the excellent multiplayer mode in GTA San Andreas. It would have been nice to do some rampage in the city with a friend, maybe one player as Tony and the other player as his best friend Manny (before he was shot down)? But it's not really a must for this game, as it is the single player story mode and free roam are sufficient to keep you busy for a long time.
Scarface: The World Is Yours is one of the best games on PS2 and a very good movie to game adaptation. I rate this game a well deserved 10 out of 10.
this game look just like gta fused with godfather 2 i like this game enough wish only voice character would be al pachino but as said some impersonator did his voice did real good job
Just your average GTA-inspired game. Not much to say. I had a couple of friends that played it, so i watched a lot of it... never felt the need to play it myself.
I found the game annoying to play. Missions were annoying especially when it tells you to do two different things at one time. "Lose the cops" "protect so and so" flee the cops fail the mission protect the person you risk getting screwed by the cops. Lost a few good lump sums of money and drugs because the game messed up. Driving and targeting is great but I rarely play the game now because the programming ****.
