There are some issues within WRC 8, and they're not small, but the game is otherwise so good that it's easy to overlook them. For all the times your engine switches to stealth mode or a fence post sends you into low Earth orbit, there are hundreds of times when you are blissfully guiding your car into a drift around a dusty apex in Argentina, or masterfully twisting through a series of highly technical corners during heavy rain. The vehicle handling is so good — and that is so important for a rally game — that even with its flaws, WRC 8 is likely the high bar that other rally games should aspire to.

The graphics, sound, presentation, and force feedback all blend together to create a wonderful sense of speed and the sense of ever present danger that immerses you in the world of rally racing. Rally racing is tough. One misjudgment and your hopes of a podium finish are dashed.

WRC 8 is the most in-depth rally sim to ever wear the official license.

Kylotonn tooks its time to cook its WRC 8, and it’s all for the best. Deeper and prettier than any of its predecessors, WRC 8 as a great career mode and looks good. It also plays better, with sharper driving.

WRC 8 is an amazing racing sim, but don't expect it to hold your hand.

Kylotonn takes a big step. The driving physics are decent and the stages are not only splendidly designed but also challenging.

The WRC game series slowly improves. Career, dynamic weather and generally better driving experience will make you happy in this new instalment. However, they have to work on a better atmosphere and presentation, and most importantly the creators must deliver much more content. [Issue#298]

Sounds aren't that good but there is a roam for updates. I'm really suprised by their new camera settings what gives the game a new dimension.
The game works well, nothing is missing here.

Finally we have a conqueror to Dirt Rally 2.0.

I am glad that they did care with career, which is really good. People who swear at this

Id like to start off with that this game runs super smooth and is optimized very well. I'm running this with the graphics as high as possibleId like to start off with that this game runs super smooth and is optimized very well. I'm running this with the graphics as high as possible at 4k on a Ryzen 7 1700 with a GTX 1080ti while locked in at 60fps easy. My computer doesn't even break a sweat. Under 50 degrees cpu temps. Hats off to the developers. Anyways, The tarmac simulation in WRC 8 is outstanding. Compared to real tarmac stages I've run, I can't see it feeling any better in a video game. The stage and environment design is top notch and feels almost 1:1 scale. Definitely the best in its class at the moment. The graphics might not be as polished as Dirt Rally 2.0 in some aspects but who really has time to look at bushes when you're flying downNarrow path at 100+ mph. The career mode is super in depth and intuitive and adds a whole new level of gameplay. The testing area in all it's freeroam glory is also a very nice touch. The only thing I really wish this game had, and I realize it's a WRC game, is a larger selection of cars but honestly. This game coupled with Dirt Rally 2.0s Rally cross and car selection makes for a Rally duo that will satisfy for a very long time. WRC 8 is a fantastic and fun game. Recommended it is seriously a blast to play. Expand

This is the first WRC game that I really like. They finally did a good job on the driving side of it. They did a better job at the graphicsThis is the first WRC game that I really like. They finally did a good job on the driving side of it. They did a better job at the graphics but it's not perfect. I did experience hiccups and clipping of textures from time to time. The sound is pretty amazing for the cars and the weather effects. The UI got better. The career mode is very interesting. The game is made for wheels, in my opinion. With a controller it's difficult to find the right settings. The default settings is really useless on PC. I got around it with a long period of testing. But I must say, there is a bit more job to be done on that side of controls. I give it a 75%. WRC is finally going into the right direction. Expand

DR2.0 is the king, WRC 8 is for the noob drivers who drive on a rail to feel good, Dirt rally 2.0 is for the high skilled drivers, 900° H shifter, clutch, and let's master the Group B cars :)
