F1 2010

Taken as a whole, F1 2010 is a maddening experience as, in spite of the numerous flaws it undoubtedly has, it is capable of throwing up some of the most intense, exciting racing moments you are likely to find in a game.

F1 2010 ran the risk of merely being merely a competent racer - fortunately it tried to be something more... and in most cases it succeeded.

Codemasters strikes again with another racing masterpiece from the creators of DIRT and GRID. Even Geoff Crammond would be proud of this new entry in the F1 simulators world.

There is something that favors F1 2010, the absence of another game that can make direct competition. At this moment is indeed the best simulator on the market.

Until the arrival of GT5 this is the best racing game of the year. Very recommended for fans of this glamorous sport.

Combining ease of use both on and off the track is the key to why this game stands out. Couple that with accessible racing and an eye towards realism, and Codemasters finally delivers an F1 game everyone can enjoy.

Even though there are some mistakes here and there (let's say it's youth related), F1 2010 probably remains one of the best F1 racing games ever. It's reminiscent of the old Formula One on the original PlayStation, and even better, of the legendary F1 '97. But a thousand times more comprehensive and realistic. Its career mode grants it an enormous playtime expectancy, and racing over the internet or against the clock is a delight best served with long evenings to fully enjoy it. Well, that's it : F1 2010... what else ?

One thing is certain; Codemasters knows how to create great racing games. F1 2010 isn't perfect, but it definitely feeds my long and unsatisfied F1 craving.

With F1 2010, Codemasters fulfilled its contract and managed to offer not only an exhaustive content of the 2010 season of Formula One, but also a great single player career mode which look like a VIP pass to the F1 paddock.

Codemasters really deserve a huge amount of credit for making their first outing into F1 territory such a success.

Codemasters have done it again. Their racing pedigree has resulted in one of the best game adaptations the sport has seen in years.

F1 2010 is the Formula 1 game we longed for. There are some remarkable flaws and 'living the live' isn't that great, but even Schumacher would be excited about the race-experience itself.

The newest racing game from Codemasters delivers on almost all of the promises the developer made, when they said they were finally going to do the sport justice in game form. It has an incredible sense of speed, nearly perfect car physics, good AI and manages to keep you hooked even though you may be racing the same track for hours at a time. It still lacks a Safety Car, the proper TV-presentation and more options when it comes to the development of the car, but manages to make up for most of these with intense action and challenge on the tracks.

Accessible with a really good sense of speed. F1 2010 should please all fans of Formula 1 - and others.

F1 2010 is a good first attempt at bringing the wonder of Formula One to current-generation consoles.

The game has a frankly obscene amount of content to discover, all of it measured and absorbing. Whether the more arcadey difficulty levels will be entertaining enough for casual racing fans is debatable.

F1 2010 is a fine starting point from Codemasters who deserve credit for putting together this comprehensive release. Generally, our high expectations have been met; it's where the series goes next that will be the true test.

Even if you don't passionately follow Formula 1, F1 2010 is fantastic for those interested in investing the time in each race. Sadly, it's not as polished as previous Codemasters games, and it requires you to be willing to work around some serious bugs.

F1 2010 has been a long time coming, and those who enjoy the sport will find such value in this title.

If Codemasters can covert a hardcore arcade loyalist like myself, I can only imagine how quickly it will steal the soul of a true F1 fan.

If you're into Formula One sports, there is no reason not to try F1 2010. It's your best shot, if you want to find out how a true F1 driver has to act and think.

Easily the best Grand Prix game since Geoff Crammond was on the beat. Its driving is second to none and is brought alive by a dynamic weather system, while its racing is as thrilling as the real thing.

F1 2010 is a great game, one of the best racing games this year. It recreates faithfully such a technical competition, both gameplay-wise and visually-wise. If the AI was harder, this would be one of the best games in the genre. Online modes could be much more interesting.

Codemaster's F1 2010 is a great game, not only for its visual achievements, but also for the way it puts you inside the cockpit of Formula 1 car. You don't only have to drive faster than others pilots, but you have to live a season completely, earning the trust of your team, defeat your teammate and bully stand in front the cameras after a race, in the usual press conference.

If you want tough, technical races where you'll get disqualified for cutting corners and time penalties for driving recklessly; if you want long races where it might take two or three laps to set up one passing manoeuvre; if what you want is a great racing sim; then, yes. F1 2010 has been well worth the wait.

Another gem from Codemasters. F1 2010 is everything that a racing game needs to be, and so much more.

The presentation is amazing, especially during any sort of varying weather conditions, although there are also occasionally some weird graphical artifacts.

You'll feel cheated at times, but no other racer makes one overtake seem like popping champagne corks on the podium, or makes you feel like Stirling Moss when you cross the line in seventh. Codemasters delivers with F1 2010 one great game. The game features every driver and circuit from the past season and is fantastic to play. The sound is awesome, the graphics are pretty nice and the carreer mode is cool to walk through complete with press conferences and many more. A must buy.

F1 2010 sees formula One return as a videogame for the first time in three years and for fans the results could not have been better! F1 2010 is not the most playable or authentic F1 game to date but a top racing game that will appeal to any petrol head.

F1 2010 is not a traditional driving simulation game. Its driving system is not 100% realistic, but it's deep, demanding and most of all entertaining. Codemasters has managed to start a new series with a title you don't want to miss.

If you're looking for a racing game that will grow with you over the coming months, F1 2010 is that game. It's not perfect, but it does more than enough right to make it a non-brainer for most – utterly brilliant.

There are only a couple of issues that hold back F1 2010 from a perfect score and they're not major gripes at that. The F1 license is finally back in the hands of a publisher that's willing and able to create a realistic depiction of the sport and this is a remarkably good first attempt by Codemasters Birmingham.

Those who want to get deep into the game, have a wealth of options at their disposal however. Some of the frustrating bugs, such as rigged pit stops, questionable scripted A.I. and corrupt save issues might be enough to give pause, but Codemasters has acknowledged the problems, and as of writing this review are working on a patch.

This title should have existed since two years ago, and for the future it has to improve its graphics and gameplay a little bit (including the safety car as an option). But from what we've seen in this first installment, the future looks bright.

This is the best Formula 1 racer currently available, but that really wasn't hard considering the lack of competition.

Is this the best F1 game this generation? Without a doubt, and it's the biggest advancement the license has seen for a very long time.

F1 2010 is the first "real" F1-simulation. Not only with all the data from the season 2010 but also with almost all the rules of the FIA F1. Including flags, warnings, penalties and limited tire sets – only a pace car is missing. The controls are direct but not too sensitive, the graphics detailed and mostly fluid. Especially the wet races are great! Presentation could be better certainly.

F1 2010 isn't for everyone, but if you like it, you'll like it a lot for quite a while.
