    The formula's barely changed since Just Dance 3. Brightly coloured representations dance on screen, you follow with a Move controller in hand. Or you can do as we did towards the end and sit on the couch and wave it as convincingly and energetically as you can. This works just enough to keep the score counter ticking up, but you'll never hit the max number of stars or nail the new and tough sub challenges that way. These sub challenges ask you to achieve a certain rank in specific part of songs. We just want to let our aching arms recover. [December 2012, p81]

    With only two modes to pick from in Just Dance 4, there really isn't much to rave about, and if you own any previous games in the series, there may not be enough new content to warrant a purchase. If you are new to the Just Dance franchise however, it seems like a good jumping off point to try something new. I know I had some fun with it, and I'm pretty sure anyone else who tries it will have fun too.

    This game includes generic mainstream pop music, which can get really obnoxious. I have to say that I'm not a fan of such songs like "Call Me Maybe" or; "Gangnam Style", stuff that has been regurgitated a million times before and just has dance moves that are incredibly simplistic. I mean, these songs take no skill to dance to, why do people still commend people who can actually emulate the dance moves? It's insulting how simplistic the dance moves are, hell, you can just wave your move controller about in any direction because it does get really repetitive. The only songs that caught my attention were by Skrillex and the rest is essentially a bunch of quick novelty songs. Atleast the controller is somewhat accurate but the game is so repetitive I have no compelling reason to replay any of the songs. The other modes I just couldn't care for either, they just seemed shoved in and uninspired. I guess it could deliver some fun when playing with friends but other than that, it's just not worth buying.… Expand
