I don't understand why they had to make a whole new game for this. Surely they could just have done a simple software update and DLC for the extra ultras. This was just a way of flogging peoples money. Gameplay wise its slower than the original but everything else remains almost identical, so if anything they've made it worse.

Wow, this is bad. Really bad. I missed SF3, so came straight from SF2 to SF4. I literally can't play this. The character design is disgusting, the dialogue is appalling, it is a total cheesefest of American **** It is just so horrible to look at and listen to I just can't play it. The character design is disgusting, the dialogue is appalling, it is a total cheesefest of American **** It is just so horrible to look at and listen to I just can't play it. Every snippet of cut scene and bit of dialogue boils my piss. The fighting doesn't feel anywhere near as fast, or as fluid as SF2. Even the title has gay Ken trying to hug spoilt brat Ryu. What the hell were they thinking with the character design? The whole game has no charm, no personality, crap music, Dhalsim singing Chas and Daves Rabbit when he wins.

I can't believe there are any 10 scores for this heap of **** SF2, MK2, Garou Mark of the Wolves, KoF98. Pick literally any fighting game that came before this and it is a 99% chamce you picked a better game.

It is just dire beyond words. People are saying lovely graphics. What game are they looking at? Not this. The characters have feet twice the size of their head and that is nice? Everything is ugly as **** on this game.

I couldn't give a monkeys about old/new. I can pkay 8 bit through to FMV but it has to be appealing. I was embarrassed to be playing it. Whenever Ibuki spoke I was in disbelief that the person behind the dialogue wasn't hung, drawn and quartered.

I can't get past the design choices. Maybe some good gameplay lies below but I can't get to it. It's like going on pornhub finding Sahar Tabar and cracking one out. Doesn't matter how hard you try, when something looks that bad, it's impossible to enjoy it.

This is a very, very low point for fighting games.

These powerful new attacks – along with some much needed tweaks to a few regular and super moves – add a massive amount of strategic nuance and mix up a lot of the match-ups. You also get a streamlined multiplayer lobby (where you can spectate or play solo while waiting), saveable replays and the return of bonus stages (i.e. belting barrels and cars). For its price, Super Street Fighter IV features a lion’s share of new content. Grease up and grab it today. [May 2010, p.72]
  2. I put nearly 100 hours into IV, and I can easily see myself pumping dozens more into this update. If you haven't played IV at all, then $40 is an absolute steal for the ultimate version of the best fighting game in recent memory. [May 2010, p.87]
  3. In a nutshell, Super Street Fighter 4 offers new characters, great gameplay, amazing value and best of all great replay value. This game is a must have. In the words of Street Fighter “A new Challenger has approached”.
