    While the previous Ride reviews might have scared you away from getting Shred, it's worth trying out if you get a chance. You might be surprised how much fun you are having with the game.

    As the gamers expected an improvement concerning the control-area, Tony Hawk SHRED is rather disappointing. After a couple of hours you still don't have the complete control of the board – a fact that can make the most relaxed player easily angry. The graphical effects and the missing story are further disadvantages of the game. Only the cool soundtrack and the typical skate-atmosphere are on the credit-side. To sum up, 100 Euro and more for the game and controller are simply too much!

    Tony Hawk: Shred failed as Ride failed last year. It's necessary for the series to take a 180 degree turn and follow a new direction.
