    UEFA Euro 2012 is an excellent soccer game, especially for players that already bought FIFA 12, giving them the chance to spend only twenty dollars to get it. For the others, the need to buy FIFA 12 to enjoy it, will make the argument more difficult to make. The few imperfections are not easy to forget, considering the fact this kind of players have to pay a lot more to play UEFA Euro 2012. Still, it remains a good game as a FIFA 12 in disguise.

    With no gameplay enhancements and only surface changes to presentation, this FIFA 12 expansion is a cosmetic add-on with no redeeming new features. The UEFA tournament mode is a lazy attempt to capture the glory of the competition, and the new Expedition mode is a boring grind. Only the most devoted of national fans should bother with this otherwise forgettable expansion.

    UEFA Euro 2012 gives you the feeling that EA Sports didn't deliver its best work. The gameplay has become worse and the online mode is fun but has some uninspired options. Come on EA Sports, this isn't what we're used to.

    UEFA Euro 2012 disappoints. Not every playable mode works, and from a technical standpoint less improvements have been made in comparison to other tournament editions like Euro 2008 or World Cup 2010. The Expedition mode is the most interesting of the bunch, but doesn't even come close compared to the Ultimate Team modes from regular Fifa-titles.

    When it sits on digital shelves alongside the likes of the delightfully frustrating Fez and the rapturous Journey (both of which cost less), it can't but help look unreasonably priced.

    UEFA Euro 2012 is a nice little extra if you just have to have a game for the tournament, but it´s by no means an essential buy for FIFA 12 players.

    The UEFA Euro 2012 DLC is a welcomed addition to FIFA 12, but given the price, it's a bit light. Without a complete roster, it's hard to feel you are getting a full, authentic tournament experience.

    We were used to have to buy a boxed release for these kind of FIFA add-ons, but this time, it's a digital download for a smaller price, and that's truly its biggest achievement. Even though there's an additional game mode on top of the official licences of the teams and stadiums, it still is nothing but a re-skin of FIFA 12 ; so be advised, that's for true soccer fans only.

    Almost half of the teams are unlicensed (including Ukraine – Euro 2012 co-host!), the game lacks atmosphere and real excitement and the new single player Expedition mode feels forced and would work better with clubs in normal FIFA 12. A big disappointment, especially at this price. [June 2012, p.52]

    UEFA 2012 is what many of us have been asking for since DLC became a major part of console gaming. Unfortunately, the desire to deliver it as an expansion, rather than a unique product has meant that corners have been cut. While that has made the end product less expensive than in previous instances, it still appears quite costly when measured against other items on the relevant stores.

    As a huge FIFA fan and a particular fan of the international competition efforts from EA, I had high hopes for the Euro 2012 expansion pack.As a huge FIFA fan and a particular fan of the international competition efforts from EA, I had high hopes for the Euro 2012 expansion pack. Despite rumours that EA had binned the development off and handed it over to Double Helix games and the complete lack of news coming from the EA headquarters, as a loyal FIFA buyer, these issues were simply brushed under the carpet. It's a FIFA game, it must be good, right? Unfortunately not. First impressions were actually quite good, the layout is very nice and the atmosphere of the tournament is spot on. The expedition mode is a nice touch aswell. But, it doesn't take long for the faults to become blindingly apparent. Firstly, EA's claim to have "over 50 FIFA registered playable nations" is the grandest piece of misleading advertising I've seen in a very, very long time. Yes, there are 50 playable nations, but many of them aren't licensed, including no less than the two co-hosts of the tournament, Poland and Ukraine. If you were hoping to get Wales to the finals, you'll be doing so with the likes of Gareth Belt and Craig Belmont as your shining stars. That leads nicely onto my second point, because I've made a mistake there, because no, you can't take Wales to the Euro Finals and thats because, rather strangely, the qualification campaign is not playable, making the whole games playability very short. You have a selection of the 4 final groups and you can only rearrange them to include other nations, other nations undoubtedly filled with fake players, kits and emblems. I'm both genuinely upset and appalled with the UEFA Euro 2012 expansion pack for FIFA 12 and the lack of game modes and effort put into its conception by EA. The rumours that Double Helix, creators of Silent Hill Homecoming, were going to be the developers of their first football game went down like a storm in a tea cup on the online forums. Unfortunately, their effort would have probably been far superior to this diabolical shambles offered by EA.… Full Review »

Expedition mode is a great idea in theory, however the execution isn't good, as I find you go in a circle, after beating a bad team, your team isn't good enough to beat a better team, so you go back to playing the bad team. With only half the teams licensed, and even less with proper kits (includes fake kits for both hosts- Poland and Ukraine), the experience is poor. The only good things is the menu and in-game presentation, but they do not make up for the frustration of spending 15 quid on almost nothing.… Full Review »

You can't play through the qualifying groups, can't play any other mode online except for the main Euro tournament. But the biggest dissapointment is that only about half of the teams are licensed. So there are alot of **** players which is outrageous.
