A unambitious and streamlined remaster of one of the better games in the Far Cry franchise, Far Cry 3 Classic Edition nonetheless provides value and satisfying open-world shenanigans in spades.

This is a very straightforward port of Far Cry 3, a game loved and loathed in equal measure. The Classic Edition is a great way for newcomers to experience one of the best games in the series, despite some clunky controls. Many people will have made up their mind about Jason's journey years ago, but on its own merit, this is a competent re-release of a fun, if a little dated, open world shooter.

Far Cry 3 Classic Edition is a compelling journey into the past of the Ubisoft series. The game is still solid and enjoyable, full of things to do while exploring the island, but the remaster could have been better.

Far Cry 3 still offers damn good time, and the Classic Edition is a great way to revisit Ubisoft’s influential classic or dive into it with fresh eyes. The tried-and-tested formula has advanced in recent years, leaving some aspects of Far Cry 3 to feel aged and inconsiderate, which could be too high a hurdle for newcomers to overcome.

In my opinion, the best Far Cry made. This game has it all,big open world full of secrets, loot and things to do. The story is great, gunplay isIn my opinion, the best Far Cry made. This game has it all,big open world full of secrets, loot and things to do. The story is great, gunplay is almost perfect, its just a fun game. My only complaint is the driving, its bad, they should've made it third person as its to hard to see where your going so your always out of control, bumping into everything, other than that I love this game. Im always curious as to why some people give games a zero just to try and force their opinion of the game down our throats, lets be adults,Im pretty sure even ET is a 1 outta 10. Expand

Unfortunately, theThis upscaled port of "Far Cry 3" includes the DLC, but is missing the co-op modes, map editor and multiplayer portion. Unfortunately, the campaign also feels a little dated. Compared to newer entries, the game is lacking in content and features stiffer controls. It's still fun, but the $30 price tag is too much for a simple re-release. The slight graphical upgrade isn't even that impressive. if you own any previous version of FC 3, than you don't need this. Overall, I'd rate the Classic Edition with a 7.5 out of 10. Expand

Well, sometimes check points can be tolerable, but this game isn't that case. Every time, once I run a game with check points, I practically hear the game's creators' excuses, "Sorry, pal, we can't implement a normal save system, so we're gonna make you pay your time for our laziness." You know what? "Thank" you very much, **** Expand

Jesus this game didn't age well. I got this free with the season pass so I gave it another play though even though I've already finished it onJesus this game didn't age well. I got this free with the season pass so I gave it another play though even though I've already finished it on Xbox 360. The graphics are definitely better but the shooting and movement feel quite bad. Remasters are always weird to review cause the game-play and story hasn't changed so I really just look at how well the remaster was done and if it improved what a remaster normally should improve these days. To sum it up graphics are better but nothing mind-blowing, controls feel pretty bad and playing this just feels like it sours my memories of the original. Expand
