Hitman is unquestionably the finest game in the series. It might be one of the best stealth games ever made.

Season 1 delivered near flawlessly. IO Interactive has built a framework that they can keep building on for years to come here, and we can’t wait to dive back into more missions in season 2.

IO Interactive's new, episodic Hitman is a triumph. The developer knew how to revive its ailing series and did so with aplomb, crafting a robust set of core mechanics and designing superb levels around them. Reminiscent of everything Blood Money did so well, from its focus on gameplay over story to its cold, sardonic presentation and dark sense of humour, this is Hitman as it is and always should be.

Hitman: The Complete First Season is the perfect re-introduction to the third-person stealth franchise, bringing back sandbox game design and player choice to the forefront with six expertly hand-crafted missions with hundreds of opportunities and ways to approach killing targets, and a ton of side content in the form of Escalation contracts and the Sarajevo Six (effectively “What If?” scenarios and missions).

The first season offers a classic but at the same time new take on the Hitman experience. It asks for every mission to be replayed and rediscovered, and we've enjoyed it thanks to its diversity and possibilities.

Agent 47’s ultimate skill has always been patience, and the newest Hitman demands the same from the player more than ever before. Some may enjoy devoting hours to planning and pulling off the perfect hit, but the supersized levels have made 47’s latest adventure an overly drawn-out affair, above and beyond the initial episodic release schedule.

Such a masterpiece. While I can get some of the anger because of the episodic style of release I fell as if this payed off as this has madeSuch a masterpiece. While I can get some of the anger because of the episodic style of release I fell as if this payed off as this has made for one of the best stealth games in recent memory as there is show much packed into it despite it only being the first season of this game with the big open levels and the fact that you can do it in which ever way you like makes it on of the most replayable games I have touched this generation and the presentation is very well done with episode 2 being one of the best missions I have played in a game. If you love stealth and action games you need to at least give this a chance. Expand

I have played HITMAN 2016 more than any video game over the past 40 years. It is a masterpiece. It is a stealth game in delightfully interesting and varied settings, populated with hundreds of NPCs going about their daily business in specified routines. There is a "Groundhog's Day" feel to each setting, with clockwork predictability of where particular NPCs will be located at specific time points doing particular routines, and locations of where particular items are located on the map. It is basically a 3D puzzle game in a large, open sandbox, where your costumes and use of different tools and weapons, influence how NPCs react to you, and to the environment. And your actions through the game mechanics can change the routines of NPCs. And this is where Hitman is so fun -- because of the emergent gameplay in how your actions interplay with the environment and behavior of NPCs. Sometimes NPC or environmental behavior is completely predictable and sometimes you find novel surprising results. It is infinitely replayable, using different means of takedown as a hitman to of up to five different targets under particular conditions. There are more than 300 official missions in the GOTY edition, Expand

The game itself isn't that long , but it's all about going back into that mission , killing your target in a different way, or trying to get silent assassin etc.
Now the goty edition is released which brings 4 new missions and 44 new challenges, making the game have a total of 700 challenges.
This is my review of HITMAN 2016 , go buy it.

Hitman strikes a balance between sandbox and actual story-telling. The core gameplay is smooth and very polished.

The replyabilty in this game is unprecedented with dozens of way to complete and master each mission it is easy to lose yourself and replay the same mission over and over again to totally master it without the fun ever going away.

Each mission is fundamentally different, from a vast mansion in a quaint small Italian town to a dangerous and mysterious farm in America, each of them feel alive, populated with relatively smart NPCs populating making the places you visit around the world feel real. Although it is clear that some mission are better than others, all of them were fun and rewarding.

My only complaints about this game is that it feels like Square Enix hired 3 voice actors for the hundreds of NPCs in each mission, so it does break from the immersion when an Arabic sales man has a British accent and the same voice as the soldier next to him. Furthermore the story is simple and heavily diluted with only 2-3 minutes cut scenes after each mission to explain the plot. This felt heavily artificial. However the fact that the story is forgettable and the game is still good, really shows the quality of the gameplay.

Absolution had a great story butHitman absolution is among top 5 games i have ever played but the new hitman isn't as good as the fifth game. Absolution had a great story but new hitman doesn't have a good and deep story. Some character animations suck like covering animation the game has a good graphics especially episode 2 but it doesn't have Absolution's dark and nice atmosphere. The gameplay is mostly like blood money than Absolution i think this is a step back but the stealth gameplay still feels as cool as previous games. Making the game episodic was a huge mistake i got full experience version but the game is too short comparing to absolution and blood money. This wasn't the hitman that i were waiting for it since 2012 but it's still a good game to play i recommend you to play it. Expand

NPC behaviour is dumb and unrealistic and that's a huge negative in a game like this which is dependent largely on NPC and enemy A.I.. Game is boring and unchallenging since you do not need to use any fancy tricks to assassinate your targets, you can just go up to them, shoot and walk away and you will complete the mission. There is no incentive to do anything. You can deliberately screw around to try different things but there is no meaning behind any of it and it gets old soon. The movement is clunky and everything feels too slow. Shooting is an absolute disgrace and the voice acting has always been a joke in the Hitman games and it's no different here. Just same 3 people doing voices everywhere. Weird listening American accents in Middle East. Overall, a poor game but if you really wanna check it out then it's not worth more than $5 according to me. Expand
