Jazzpunk is a really short story game, with minimal gameplay. The game takes you through several levels in which you will need to do different small task to advance. Control are good, and story is mediocre.

It was a weird experience. At the core it's a very basic adventure game (like a 3D cardboard version of Monkey Island). It mixes Japan, spy movies, androids & pop-culture references into absurd mix. It tries to be funny, but I didn't laugh really. Some gags were gunny though: especially the one with throwing pizza & a pair of sai weapons at a turtle.
Bonus points for Soviet embassy with

Bonus points for Soviet embassy with orthodox church domes on top. That was a funny design.

Worth your time since it's so short, the humor is great, you will probably require a guide for some of the puzzles.

Jazzpunk clearly and proudly isn't a game for everyone, but for anyone who shares its developers' collective mindset, it's likely that there'll be a lot more hits than misses, and that by the end of those three hours, you'll be desperate for more.

As any standup will tell you, the key to a successful joke is the execution – and Jazzpunk tees up its titters masterfully. [December 2016, p80]

Jazzpunk is an absurd, quick-fire joke machine that holds its end of the bargain for the two-hour duration. Its sense of style remains strong and consistent throughout. There’s a lack of replay value beyond finding any gags you’ve overlooked but I can’t help but admire how different and funny this is. It’s brilliantly executed and carries a jaunty, playful tone that keeps things moving. If you’ve already ventured into the robot universe then the underwhelming multiplayer doesn’t feel like an enticing addition but we would definitely recommend newcomers checking this out. You will probably not play anything else like it.
