When you create sandbox worlds, it’s very easy to leave the player to “make their own fun”, but here the mixture of intuitive controls, player agency, and tongue-in-cheek humor makes Job Simulator a must-have. While it’s a little on the short side, Job Simulator is the easiest VR title to recommend. If you have a VR headset, this game needs to be in your library.
This sandbox is amazing. There's so much to do. There's so much fun to be had. Take the time to enjoy the world created, scour every desk drawer and every crevasse, and you will enjoy this game so thoroughly you'll be left wanting more.
While Job Simulator may not be my personal favorite virtual reality game, it is one of the easier titles to recommend given its intuitive design, effective comedy stylings, and broad appeal.
Instead of a real game, Job Simulator is a collection of interactive three-dimensional spaces, probably designed to represent a "first contact" with the world of virtual reality.
The premise is there and the concept is weirdly intriguing. But in the end, this is an overpriced game with short length, various PS Move tracking issues and frigidly bad humor that is just not enough to satisfy you for more than a few hours.
I just LOVE Job Simulator but it's pretty short game. I purchased it in sale for 15$ but i would say that for 20$ it's kinda overpriced because there's only 4 jobs and you will complete it in like 3 hours. But still a great game.
I realize that I never gave this a review when I played it, and I honestly think I should. In our quest for some good, fun VR games, my brother and I stumbled across this “Job Simulator” game. I don’t tend to play these “simulator” types of games, but I thought that having a VR simulator game would be more fun. I wasn’t expecting to absolutely adore everything about this game, but it honestly threw me for a huge loop: this game ended up becoming far and away one of my favorite VR games against all odds, which is no small feat for a pretty cheap game that might not look fantastic on the outside.
“Job Simulator” is a simple concept: you are in the year 2050 in a world dominated by robots, taking part in simulated jobs that humans once accomplished. It’s simple, but it’s executed phenomenally. The game controls very well in the VR, and the jobs themselves work thanks in no small part to the game’s overall sense of exaggeration. In the game, you have the option to work a desk job, a chef job, a retail clerk job, or an auto repair job. All four of these jobs have their own unique flairs to them, and they take bizarre but colorful spins on those jobs, resulting in an experience that turns the mundane into something really fun. It’s very accessible, and probably the perfect introduction game to VR for audiences of all ages. Visually, while the game’s graphics aren’t mind-blowing, I do think they fit the game well: the environments are crafted with solid attention to detail, fitting with the tone of parody and satire, and the game is certainly plenty colorful. And while the game obviously isn’t story-focused, it does build a bit of a universe and utilizes a lot of absurdist humor, which works. I enjoy some absurdist humor every once in a while and…what can I say other than that the game is hilarious? Bottom line, I cracked up all throughout the game, not only for its bizarre settings and gameplay ideas, but for the humor of the game’s robots.
If anything is keeping this from being a truly essential experience, I just wish the game was longer. While the game is fantastic while it lasts, it really doesn’t last long. It’s not difficult whatsoever to beat the game in a single sitting (the game is only about 2-3 hours), and I can’t help but feel like this game is just begging to be expanded on. There’s not much of a reason to go back after beating each job once, and I think the game is more than deserving of some DLC with new sets of jobs.
Even so, while it lasts, “Job Simulator” is a really great time. This is the kind of game that utilizes its VR controls well, and also adds an extra kick of fun in just how off-the-wall and absurd it gets. It’s the kind of game that simple and accessible enough for young players, while also being hilarious and inventive enough for older gamers. It’s definitely a strong introductory VR game, and I highly recommend it. As short as it is, I’m sure you’ll have a blast with it.

This game, much like Accounting + in the way that it is truly good for one play through is a hilarious entry into VR. I enjoyed the jobs although some felt long, the graphics and tongue-in-cheek narration had me rolling. Especially the mechanic job and Ramsay bot! I'd catch this game on sale, if you could and play it, if you haven't. Total play time about two hours.
What kind of game is it?
Its a job simulator, the name is perfect.
Was it fun?
Out of all of the VR games, this is the best one I played.
Are there any similar games?
This is really tapping into a semi-new genre. There are other real world simulators but not quite like this.
Would you play it again?
Yea, I think there is some replayability.
Any complaints?
Its simple, its works great but I couldn’t imagine playing this for 100+ hours.
SummaryThe year is 2050. Robots cook, clean, service, and organize the world with precision and speed. Human occupations are now memories of the past; long gone are the nine-to-five jobs that ran the old world. Humans raised in our perfect automated society must not forget their ancient ancestors and history. This is why JobBot was born. JobBot...
