As it stands, Episode 2: Brave New World is far and away the best of the two episodes so far and has already made this game something special. Deck Nine did an absolutely fantastic job of creating a beautiful story and wonderfully tragic characters to make this type of dialogue-driven game a force to be reckoned with, especially when compared to the first game. It will certainly leave you hanging at the edge of your seat without apologizing for the drama and stress it creates.
"Лучше любых ожиданий"
Честно сказать, после этой игры поменял свое отношение к людям с нетрадиционной ориентацией. Если раньше на дух не переносил таких, то сейчас отношусь к этому гораздо лояльнее. Вот настолько качественный продукт получился у ребят из Deck Nine.
Если вы не успели пройти основную часть - вам повезло. Начните свое прохождение именно с Life is Strange Before the Storm,
really good followup to the first chapter in this chapter i felt so connected to the characters and the story it was surreal i couldn't even believe how focused i was while playing this chapter and felt super connected to the story and the characters really deserves the score.
Although it might not be as strong as Episode One, Episode Two builds in confidence and understands exactly what we want out of this story. Sad, happy, heartwarming and heartbreaking, Episode Two is an emotional experience.
Deck Nine has effectively made a story with a predictable conclusion feel engaging, and even hopeful against all odds. Right now, it feels like a blessing that they've let Chloe and Rachel Amber have their simple moment in time; right now, nothing can go wrong, the world is full of possibilities. The storm can wait.
Life is Strange заставила меня влюбиться. Это была очаровательная игра и самое главное, жизненная. Приквел получается симпатичным и не смотря на то, что мы знаем исход и как закончится история главных героев, я получаю удовольствие. ****/U98Kkn4odT0
This second episode was very much worth the wait and gave me something more than I expected. While we all knew this prequel would be grounded in the realm of realism, I couldn't help but feel a lot more connected than I expected. The dynamic between Chloe and Rachel starts to heat up all while not even giving Rachel as much screen time as the first episode. But you know what they say, space make the heart grow fonder and thats exactly what happened. This episode drives in the point of consequences very well while also giving you some oddly small but fun mini games to further push the story. With each episode now I can now understand why Chloe was who she was the in first season while also experiencing so much personal turmoil with her. All in all, this episode brought a greater sense of passion and twinkle to relationships of not just Chloe and Rachel but other side characters who I shall not name.
TL;DR ratings at bottom.
The second episode was, as is often the case, mostly filler leading up to the final episode. Gameplay wise, it is little more than a few search for the item and click X minigames. Luckily the narrative in this episode was much better than the first. I must especially applaud the "theatrical" scene as one of the most creative and effective ways of growing characters that I've ever seen. I was honestly surprised by it, and that is a very rare thing for me nowadays. On the other hand, I kept count of the number of times that a line of dialogue or silly forced choice made me either roll my eyes to the back of my head or cringe, and I came out with three, which for an episode I spent three hours playing isn't too bad, especially considering that I racked up 8 physical reactions in episode one. The "plot twist" at the end wasn't terribly exciting, but fortunately they developed the characters well enough through this episode that it didn't bother me all that much. Though I still don't love the fact that they went with established characters with set storylines, they at least seem to now have a direction and general feel to the plot, which was sorely lacking in episode one. The sound design was again exceptional, with one major asterisk. For the first time the music broke my immersion, rather than deepening it. This is the only time I can remember in the series, outside of an outro, that a song played with no in world source. The strangest thing is that it happened while Chloe sat in a vehicle that had a presumably working radio. It's a small gripe, but with a series that has always paid as much or even more attention to sound design than even narrative, I can't let it slide. Overall this episode was an improvement over the first, but still offered little more than a typical teenage drama, albeit with more believable characters.
TL;DR Ratings
Gameplay: 2/5
Graphics: 3.5/5
Story: 4/5
Sound: 4.5/5
Teenage Angst: 6/5
Overall: 7/10
Comparing this to EP1 this is a HELLA boring bad fanfiction, cutscenes are boring nearly empty, uninteresting, most of the soundtrack was not really fit for them useless, bad dialogs from chloe,(drew this, drew that, mikey this, mikey that,) the voice acting is bad, its strange because episode1 voice acting, dialogs, soundtracks was great in episode1. In this episode chloe was more similar to Max Caulfield in both action, personalitie, and voice acting, than real chloe was.
NPCS(school teens) are boring, and uninteresting, Especially eliot and samantha both of it just irritating, one is always want to climb me, and the other one is a superhero saveer wanna be girl The Tempest was bad, all i could say WHEN ITS gonna be END!?. The game need to focus more Chloe and rachel story just two of them together on a trip and adventures like the first episode was! Episode 2 was boring and dissapointment! There is no plot twist at all, no more shocking endings at aleast we got RAVEN our side, i like the nightmares, and the RAVEN!
These characters are awful, unlikeable and do not grow. The models are like playdough, the music is unbearable and the story is a big nothingburger where you run errands for terrible people and avoid the parents that are trying to steer you away from drugs and alcohol and try to please a manipulative girlfriend. The worst part is Chloe, who has zero redeeming qualities and 50 reasons why anybody over the age of 21 would hate her attitude.
SummaryNow reunited with her friend Chloe, Max starts to experiment with her power and begins to wonder if it is related to her visions or the weird snow from the day before. But life goes on in Blackwell Academy and a certain viral video has become a major topic of discussion. Meanwhile, what did happen to Rachel Amber?
