The community’s gameplay wishes were granted with a new focus on Franchise mode, led by the Play the Moments feature. Outside of its mood-killing commentators, Madden 17 is just about everything we’ve been waiting for since EA Sports took full control of the NFL license. Football is back, and it’s only a yard or two short of becoming an all-time great.
MADDEN NFL 17 brought my father and me closer together in a way I never thought was possible. Before my father passed away, we would spend hours playing together, shouting with excitement and laughing at each other's mistakes. It was a bonding experience that I will cherish forever. The game created a shared passion between us and allowed us to connect on a deeper level. My father was a busy man and didn't have much time to spend with me, but whenever we played this game, it felt like we had all the time in the world. It was a way for us to escape from the real world and just enjoy each other's company. As I reflect on my time with my father, I am grateful for the memories we made through this game. It may have been just a game, but it was so much more than that. It was a way for us to connect and grow closer, and I will never forget the lessons and love my father imparted to me through our time playing together. Even though my father is no longer with me, the memories we made through this game will always stay with me. I will always be thankful for the bond we built through our shared love of football and for the way this game brought us closer together.
Madden just keeps getting better! Enhancements to gameplay and presentation are fantastic. The game runs smoother than ever. MUT is fantastic, Franchise works like a dream. I can't fault this version of Madden, if I had to I'd ask for a bit more immersion when playing the Franchise, but I hear its coming in Madden 18! 10/10
If you’re looking for a detailed and accessible American football game, this is it. Along with fantastic gameplay and a Franchise mode showcasing clear improvements, you won’t be disappointed.
All is not perfect — there are still some visual glitches and long load times to contend with — but for a title routinely derided for not improving enough between titles, Madden has really raised its game this time around.
Much of what’s been altered are small steps to further enjoyment, because EA has the fundamentals down. Is it unrecognisable from Madden 16? No. Is it more playable? Yes. Ultimately, that’s all that matters, and all that’s needed to make this title a success.
Madden NFL 17 isn’t leaps and bounds ahead of what EA Tiburon was able to accomplish last year, but it builds on a very solid foundation with only a few hiccups and annoyances to speak of.
4.9?? I personally think this game can be rated better than 4.9. My rating of 10 is just to boost the avg rating but to be honest, I think this game can be rated around 7.5 to 8.5.
Not sure why the kick meter or other things that weren't broken have changed... yet the game clock still ticks away after I run out of bounds... graphics are great(so was Madden 16)... just wish instead of stupid new features like blocked kicks they would take the time to polish the stuff already in place to be as close to a perfect simulation as it could be

Madden 17 ****, don't play it. There are WAY too many fumbles, interceptions, and dropped passes. Even if I manage to throw the ball before it's stripped from my hands, it either gets intercepted or dropped by a wide open receiver. The new kick blocking is cool until the CPU blocks two of your kicks in a game and three kicks over four games. Madden 17 is jam packed with sloppy football. The graphics and presentation are good, as well as the commentary. Franchise is better than ever except for the fact you can't negotiate contracts. Either you give the player exactly what they want or they test free agency. I'm not even going to waste my time, and yours, on how bad the soundtrack is. This Madden is nothing but frustrating. Don't play it.
I haven't played Madden in 4 years and this game is pretty mediocre. The gameplay is decent but the game modes are extremely boring. Franchise mode is decent, but could use much more improvement in terms of depth of features (hiring and firing of coordinators, actually rebuilding specific parts of the stadium instead of leveling **** up, etc.) think Madden 2004, Madden 2005 and NFL Head Coach. That is the ideal franchise mode. EA is only ever going to focus on MUT because of the microtransactions because they are blood thirsty money grabbing piece of **** company that only cares about turning a profit, which they could do to a greater extent if they actually cared about making a good football game. Stick to Madden 2005 over this mediocre hunk of ****
