Alright, let's get the few negatives out of the way first; FIFA has more stadiums, more licenses and much better commentary. That's it.

When it comes to gameplay and actual football, PES is back to it's best and simply light years ahead. This isn't ridiculously over-powered dribbling and charging around at 100mph, this is whatever you want it to be; precise passing, off the ball movement and possession based? You can do that. Sit deep and work on the counter? Sure. Big players and long ball tactics? That's there too.

They have simply nailed it in all areas. Passing is sharp, shooting feels great, the AI find space and move brilliantly, the tactical depth is unmatched and that's before we get to the player and team styles. Players play like themselves; Robben, Ronaldo, Pirlo....they move and play like their real life self. The differences between each team is even better; Bayern pass you to death and press, Atletico sit deep and make it difficult, it makes every game different.

The edit mode is missing a few things, but it's still terrific. You can fix just about everything from team/player names to kits and you can add missing teams; it makes the lack of licenses no big deal. Even the dreadful commentary doesn't get in the way, people new to PES will find it very, very basic and at times awful, but anyone who has played PES in the past will only laugh, over the years you even start to appreciate it.

All in all, it is by far the best football game on the market. PES spent a few years in the basement, but the king has returned and reclaimed it's throne.

Game-play is quality. You can play thousands of hours and you wouldn't even notice, every game is unique, every goal is unique. HUGE improvement from pes2014.
Keepers are alot better. Shooting is fabulous. Passing is great.
Konami still need to improve somethings like Modes, Commentary(awful) and of course the licenses.
Summary - Beautiful game, BEST of its generation, but not all-time best.

PES 15 is very addictive and fun to play, especially game modes like MyClub are making it even more fun. Have been playing Fifa in a long time but after the game just has gotten worse and worse. I made a decision to sell my Fifa 15 and give PES a try instead, that was a very good decision. I am very glad that konami did step up this year and made a good football game, I will recommend this game if you looking for this years best football game.
It stil needs a few improvements of cause.
    - Missing Co-op online matches (also in divisions) It is really dissapointing that this one is missing, it was some of the best about playing Fifa. Hoppefully it will be there in the 16.
    - Letting you buy and sell players i a transfer market i MyClub like Fut.
    - A better commentator
    - A few big clubs missing (Dortmund for ex.)
And there is a few small other details but with that being said, this game definitely goes i the right direction and deserves credit. Maybe we will see a even better PES next year who knows?? :)

If I have to find the "dark side": more official teams please and some new animation. But this is the best soccer SIMULATION, no questions.

I know its tedious but you have to compare this game to FIFA at some point. And boy does this game shine in that aspect. Everything from passing to movement is so fluid and feels un restricted. Anyone who already has Fifa 15 and is looking for a less infuriating and more rewarding experience, I highly recommend this. You'll never feel like the game was scripted or cheated you.

Pro Evolution Soccer is a series that had a lot of ups and downs. It was the king for a very long time but started losing steam after FIFA improved their gameplay. It was the king for a very long time but started losing steam after FIFA improved their gameplay. I always enjoyed how dynamic and unpredictable pro evolution was. It had this special touch, that special magic formula that no other soccer game had. It connected you to its competitive gameplay for hours nonstop; however, after the sloppy 2014 game, I was worried that Konami might have forgotten what the fans really loved about the game.

After playing the game for several hours, I can confidently tell you that this is the best of the series and that the glory days of Pro Evolution are back.

The overall atmosphere in the game is smooth and the crowd reactions are good with fans erupting when a goal is scored which adds to the intensity of the game. The face animations are spot and you can see how players react to different situations clearly.

Focusing on your midfield is crucial and moving the ball effectively by working on your formations and using your players to open up the gameplay to allow goal scoring opportunities is your key to victory. Playing as a team and passing the ball correctly throughout the field gives you the upper hand. It is an exciting feeling when you have to slowly work your way through the match trying to find weak points of your team to beat them, this makes scoring the goals feel like an accomplishment.

Controlling top players like Christiano Ronaoldo and Messi is unique because they have their own playing styles. Goal keeper’s responsiveness this year has improved and they act smarter with some very nice saves. The passing, collisions and shooting is well developed and executing the techniques for each player is easily done.

Scoring a goal never felt better and the interesting celebrations add to the experience. The AI this year is tough especially on higher difficulties and they will work together in covering loose ends making scoring harder. Mid fielders are more tactical and will open up the game more to create goals for their attackers, that is why it is important to use your formations wisely such as counter attacking when the lose the ball.
There are a couple of new features such as the fluid formation. When it is enabled, your player’s formations adapt depending on if your team has possession or not, for example, if you don’t have the ball, your team will become more defensive and attacking when you attack.

The role control idea allows players to take control of a certain unit in defense, midfield or offence. This is a unique addition as it allows you to focus on these players’ tactics depending on their unit. The menus are better than last years and are simple to navigate through, but there is still room for a lot of improvements. The commentary as usual is still forgettable, which is a shame because this has been a big weakness in the series for many years and the official license teams are still missing.

The Master League is back and here you create your character and you will start your career as a manager with your contract being renewed yearly. Choosing wisely, from searching for talents and negotiations are some of the missions that you should accomplish.
Become a Legend allows you to create your player and improve his skills through matches and taking him from rookie all the way to Legend.

Pro Evolution is a carefully designed game. Everyone keeps talking about how lacking the license are which is true but the power of Pro Evolution 2015 is not its presentation, but by its solid and satisfying gameplay.

The most important game mode is the online competition for FUT, My Club, which, IMO, gets everything right that FUT doesn't. Except for the variety of tournaments, all else is better, is more honest. The FUT packs system, made as ana addictive money-grabbing scheme is nowhere to be found in PES. In its place, a much more realistic and honest system, the agents system, with a much less aggressive ratio between in-game currency values and that paid currency values. You get a player for each match, and the quality will depend on your performance. No marketplace, which means no cheating, no inflation, no black market, none of the things that pollute and undermine FUT experience. Online works very well, unlike FUT, which suffers constantly with lagging issues (played a match in FUT at about 5fps).

One thing I like a lot is the cameras. I use the vertical camera, because it allows me a more tactical view of my attacks and seem a little bit more realistic. On FIFA, the vertical camera does not switch sides on halftime, and on the 2nd half I always found myself attacking looking at my defense field... very dumb... On PES, on the other hand, i works flawlessly, and even the Player camera has had severe improvements.

The gameplay is much more enjoyable and the provides the feeling that the results of the matches are determined by your actions, not some scripted routine, like FIFA. The best description was given on a pro review "PES is more rewarding in defeat than FIFA is in victory". 100% accurate.

The only downside of the game is the lack of some licences, but that was never a deal breaker to me (let us not forget that FIFA itself lost a bunch of licences this year). Besides, with the editor and with all the mods that are about to come, that issue will have a short lifespan. And it is sort of fun to try to decipher the odd names they came up with.

I am very pleased and very proud of my soccer game choice for 2014/2015.

This game is simply amazing. It feels so much better than the 2014 version. Everything responds fast and smooth now. On top of that the AI is a lot better too. If you love to play football on your console with friends on the couch, this is the football game for you. It has a lot more game modes than FIFA that are couch friendly. EA has too much focus on online gameplay.

So much better than scripted fifa...pes15 is incredibly fun to play. Players are responsive and konami have coded real intelligence into the CPU play to make it challenging instead of the scripted nonsense that is EAs preferred (lazy) modus operandi. Anyone that knows anything about footy will see the shallow experience that is fifa and recognise that PES is the only true footy game out there.

I've not enjoyed pes this much since ps2 days. This is the first time pes has really won over me after the PS3 era. It's been a long time coming but it's definitely well worth the wait!

I buy games to play online. PES 2015 online is a disaster and a complete failure. The online game play is laggy (button lag), frequent disconnections, unable to find opponents, and full of cheaters who lag you out when losing.

The offline is decent, however, if you are an online gamer like me, you better stick with FIFA since it gives you the best online football experience.

I bought PES 2015 after being extremely frustrated with this year's FIFA and being extremely curious about it after so many good reviews. It isn't at all good. Just different than FIFA but in a weird way. It is supposed to be a simulator but players move odd, they react slow towards the ball and, generally, the players act unnatural.

At first, It got me hooked that it moved slower than FIFA and the speed was more realistic but the game itself, the game of football, looks forced. You cannot make simple passes to a teammate sitting 2 metres away. The direction, the left stick is way too sensitive and your passes ALWAYS go to an opponent. If an opponent is standing in front of you and your teammate is slightly behind him, your player never passes alongside him, it always passes straight to the opponent. This is the reason why I can rarely create nice passes because all of a sudden I get the pall passed where i don't want it to.
Another reason why this game sucks is because of the input lag online. After you charge the meter to pass, it takes 1-2 seconds for your player to pass the ball, which in some cases, can cause a dispossesion because your player does nothing and you might concede. This input lag makes online a very tedious experience. It is almost like a brain surgery every time.

Also, pressure abuse online is another reason why you can barely create a nice possession gameplay.
You cannot hold the ball for even half a second because three opponents swarm you and you have to pass it immediately, not even being able to think ahead where to.

Through balls are extremely overpowered in this game, both online and offline. It doesn't matter where your defenders are, one through ball and they will part, allowing for the forward to get a chance on goal.
You simply cannot defend against them and it is even worse when you are playing against real madrid online, be prepared to concede at least three goals because of through balls followed by ronaldo goals.

The only thing i enjoyed about this game is that it can be fun when playing a friend on offline. On offline the game moves , but the AI scores the same idiotic goals, through ball followed by headers that you simply CANNOT defend against.

Graphics are worse than FIFA, nothing special here.

In conclusion, I can say that I do not recommend this game to anyone, it is not a relaxing game, it will make you rage just like FIFA does and , for me, it landed straight in the thrash bin.

+ Atmosphere (when playing in any South American tournament).

I opened this account just to post this message. 31 years old experienced PES player and... i am getting sick of this 10/10 reviews from brain washed kids. I will write almost only about multi, because single is somehow childish(?) for older players.

First and most important, ask yourself. How does 90% online games look like ? 4-3-3 + spamming thorugh balls + scripted line of passing the ball (remembered exactly by the gamers) + guick front player = goals. Then another player repeats the same. And of course most goals are from counter attacks, sometimes from heavy (sick!) unrealistic pressing. I am not mentioning scripted goals from crosses, free kicks etc.

That's all folks ! That's your super duper football simulation.

And now listen to me. I was playing this game 15 years ago. And it was fun and it seemed realistic, and i had imagination how this game should be developed through the years (1000 ideas). To become real simulation. So what happened ? S$#t happened.

This is retarded full arcade, annoying scripted waste of time and nerves. I have a lot of experience with FIFA and could say similar words about this game, but with the difference, that FIFA was s$#t 15 years ago and somehow improved. PES stand almost in the same place for so many years.

Many more things i could write .... but nobody will read this. Cheers, read some books instead ;)

Really enjoyed the calculated build up and passing the game offers which reflect real football much better than FIFA plus I don't seem to get any bouts of rage compared to FIFA too, even when loosing.; The game modes are fun too, myclub works quite well massive scope for improvement here. Not suffered any lag online and found games freely too compared to FIFA which is lag city central. Only major downside is lack of licenses and amateur presentation with menus and layout. Some of the menus look rather crude and same as they did all them years ago in ps2, they really could do with a major cosmetic makeover. IF PES had the full licenses and all of the whistles and bells that fifa has, then it would be no.1 for sure as the gameplay is much better. Lack of this holds it back, overall I would recommend if you are growing tired of FIFA ( dont give up after a solitary game, needs a prolonged run to adapt if your coming from FIFA) and like me you may find it to be so much more fun than FIFA even when things don't go your way. Followed by ISS 64. and then PES2/3/4, Konami really did have a special place in every one of our game collections.

PES 5 and 6 were fantastic and I spent thousands of hours playing Master League. Every goal and every play was a joy, I became fan of players from having them on my squads, ie Shevchenko, Nedved.

And then came the PS3, and it has been downhill ever since. Something we never thought Konami could do. They had been fantastic for so long.

And now comes the PS4, and a promise of old days. The FOX engine, a new King.

After a few months of PES 2015, I can now evaluate how it stacks up agains FIFA and previous PES.
    Is the King really back?

I am very sad to say that it definitely is not. Konami is lost. The magic is not there.

The truth is, PES 2015 gives a good initial impression (coming from the abyssmal PES 2014 this was not very hard). There was definite progress in some areas, but in the end this PES is not up to par in several areas, and I find myself going back to PES 2013.

The FOX engine seems like a failure. Graphical enhancements are the least of worries for PES.
    Konami fails once again.

    Positives:

    - Improved animations. This makes the game more current gen.
    - Faster first touch compared to PES 2014.
    - Better entry into PS4 than Konami had into PS3.

    Negatives:

    - Tactics are very general, a huge stepback after PES 2013.
    - In general the game is still not as responsive as PES 2013. The pitch is not yours quite yet.
    - AI is quite poor and defending turns into trying to cover the holes that the AI keeps opening in your defense.
    - The PES feel is not quite there. Does not feel anywhere as sensitive or manual as the PS2 games. Thus, the satisfaction from buildup and scoring is not comparable.
    - ONLINE matches are HORRIBLE. This should have brought my score down to a 5 really. Terrible lag, worst online experience ever. PES 2013 on Steam is miles better.
    - Although animations are improved, they get in the way of the gameplay. Konami really needs to evaluate where this game is going. I don't really see a path, I would start from scratch.
    - Commentary is horrible, in any language. It's better to turn it off.

In the end, PES 2015 feels, after months of playing, like a fixed PES 2014. But nothing special. Definitely not the King that Konami promises every year.

Maybe they should shutup and give us a good game. Every year it is the same promise, and fans can only take so many dissapointments. Sales do not lie.

Konami needs to stop focusing on stupid details. Oh the crowds, oh the lighting. Who cares. Your game is broken. Horrible AI within your own team, terrible online, who cares about facial hair.

Sadness turned into dissapoinment, now turning into anger.

I'm not getting into the whole FIFA - PES debate, you either like one or the other (some maybe both) but as a long-time gamer who has been through all football games from the beginning I can honestly say that if you already have FIFA 15 then don't waste your money on this - GTA V and Far Cry 4 are out next week, do something different instead.

    Gave it an 8/10.

Docked points for a couple of reasons. They changed the master league online to "my club" mode. It is essentially the Fifa ultimate team mode, which I never liked. I much prefer the old MLO. Docked points for a couple of reasons. They changed the master league online to "my club" mode. It is essentially the Fifa ultimate team mode, which I never liked. I much prefer the old MLO.

Please don’t waste your money on a game as bad as this, the ai is flaued, the goalkeepers are a complete joke, the lack of tactical options are pathetic, this is just a money grab.

I’m not saying buy fifa, I’m not a fifa fan boy. Just don’t waste your money on this, you’ll regret it.

I gave the game a 3 only for detail of the players, again ProEvo outshines most games when it comes to the realism of the players, but that's it, there's no gameplay upgrades from two years ago, for the exception of the way a player passes the ball, that looks better, but the gameplay is painfully boring.

This is the last time i'll pay for a ProEvolution soccer game.
And yes this is my first ever post, but i'm so upset that konami sold this to be the best one yet! as all game providers do, but i genuinely believed them...

Was expecting much better after last year disaster, which by the way got great reviews despite one of the worst football games of all time.

Modes: BAL and ML are exactly like last year, the new and ONLY addition is a ultimate team rip off called my club. No innovation, either the same old thing or a weaker FIFA mode.

Edit Mode: A big part of the PES series was also destroyed this year, either you play PC's last gen poorly optimized game, or you play in the PS4 with North London and no chance of changing emblems or adding kit logos. The promised "Stadium Editor" is a joke and 12 stadiums in total is a even bigger one. Licensing fights aside, there is no excuse why they couldn't add at least 10 more fake stadiums.

And if you try to do the change manually, things will really get your nerve because in manual changing it will always pick out the player which are least needed! and even if you do pick out the intended player as soon as the player is selected, it will stop running/chasing the attacker, so you probably will get in much deeper trouble! specially gamers who are playing at harder difficulties (like myself). Scripted goals will make a really bad player get through your defence and score, no matter if he's all out of stamina.
Passing the ball is nice for the most part of it, but sometimes it will look as totally random. You can easily see it whenever you try a fast low cross.
Scoring when 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper is odd. Sometimes your player will score every single attempt, even if he's in a bad mood. Some other times he will miss it everytime, even if in the best mood.
Everytime a player accidentally gets hit by the ball right before the goal, the AI assigns it as own goal.
The opposite team will almost never commit a foul. Even if they are losing 3:0 and you are about to score the 4th. Even if your goal means they are being eliminated from the tournament. No fouls.
You can score from a low cross from the corner kick with your shortest player. Many times. Because players are way too bad when positioning for corner kicks.
So, does your favorite team have that one play they make on every game? Well, that's not scripted in here. You must do it yourself.
Some licensing problems made some players have their names and looks changed. Licensing problems at this age is a childish mistake.

Konami's first next gen effort is a big improvement over any of the Xbox360 instalments and comes so close to greatness only to be held back by a few niggling issues. There is of course the usual missing licenses but bigger issues, such as AI controlled players that don't always make the runs or fall to cut out passes that they should, a rainbow flick skill move that is too easy to pull off and referees that constantly fail to book or send off players for late or off the ball fouls can sometimes make matches a frustrating experience.

There are a number of game modes, both off and online (which after a few initial problems works really well), to play including the MyClub mode which is basically FIFA Ultimate teams in all but name so there is no shortage of options.

With bit more evolution for next years game PES could once again become something very special but for now this is good, but flawed, football game.

PES 2015 is rough in some aspects, the graphics are not on pair with FIFA but its gameplay is the best of this "next-gen". (Sorry, but its impossible to write a PES 2015 review without comparing it with its biggest rival)

FIFA is that kind of game that seems suited for one specific playing style. Its a game based on lobbed trough balls, where any tough matches are decided when the midfield Modric just make a impossible pass to Ronaldo, who find himself in front of the goal free to score.

You won't finde in PES 2015 the worst aspect of FIFA series: scripting. FIFA seems to force situations like last minute goals, last minute impossible saves or balls hitting the post. It seems in some matches the game won't let you win, or the game want the match to be exciting, thats why hitting the post is so common during a FIFA match (actually perhaps in 9 out 10 matches you play online the ball will hit the post at some point). Scripting is not a new thing in videogames. Since ISS from N64 it was not hard to realize that the CPU was cheating in some games, but that only happened in Player vs CPU games in hardest levels. In FIFA, even playing against real players I always get the feeling that the match was not natural as it was supposed to be. For example, it seems the game decides that in some moments the CB will be faster than the forward, and in the others will just let the striker overrun de defense to easily score.

FIFA is also a beginner friendly game. FIFA is perhaps the biggest game franchise nowadays, so they must please the casual gamers. PES is a game that takes time to know even simple things, like defending.

Tactics in PES 2015 really works. In FIFA, even if you decide to park the bus and defend deep, you will realize that many times the opponent will find your defense wide open (or Ronaldo will receive that perfect lobbed trough ball free of marking). So, if your opponent decides to play an ultra attacking game, you will easily score in counter attack, while in FIFA playing ultra attacking football with Real Madrid is the way to go, since in EA game high pressuring is really easy, all you need to do is two buttons pressed and let the players do the work.

Defending is also really nice in PES 2015. Most casual football fans care little about tactics, defense and only care about scoring goals and fancy skills. FIFA 14 and specially 15 were designed to please those players. You never really controls your defense. In PES I always feel like I'm controlling my defense, and usually when the back four make a mistake, its my fault, while in FIFA many times I blamed poor AI.

But its far from a perfect game. GKs work 95% of the time, but on some occasions they will make really annoying mistakes. Konami doesn't have the huge licenses you will find in FIFA, but they MUST improve the kits and badge design. That kind of lazy work is not acceptable in a PS4 game. For example, since 2005 Chelsea is London FC, with the same awful badge that looks the work 8 years using Paint, not to mention the kits with lazy designs, colors and textures, that make you feel like you are playing a PS2 game. No to mention the few stadium options. I don't care if they can't use licensed designs, they must give us more generic stadiums. While in FIFA you get up to 40 licensed stadiums and 30 generic stadiums, in PES we have less than 20. Its unbelievable that in 2015 they are selling a football game with only 18 arenas.

Including a generic german league is also a must. Lack of license is not an excuse for lack of teams or players.

Refereeing needs improvement. It just doesn't make any sense. In some simple fouls the referee will give a yellow, in other moments your player will get killed and not even a foul...

Final word: the last time I bought a PES game was PES 6 back in 2006. When PES series arrived in 7th generations its really lost its way. PES 2007 was bad, and so was every single PES game I played since then. After playing FIFA 14 last year, I got really frustrated with EA series. After FIFA 15 demo was out, I decided I was going to skip 2015 football games. Somehow I decided to give PES a try again, after completely giving up the series for the past 8 years. To be honest it has been quite a long time since I find myself enjoying a football video game that much. But when you pay a full price for a football game, you are not only paying for the gameplay. PES suffer from lack of license and lazy overall game design that really hurts the game after some months.

Another problem is the poorly created online environment, with unbalanced matches and leagues where you need to win 7 out of 10 game in order to get promotion. The exciting online gameplay is not present in online mode, that feels a minimalist version of the offline one.

Solid game. 7 out of 10.

As someone who has the eye for the fine, small details, I used to enjoy edit mode in the older PES games. However, now, in 2015, edit mode is horrendous, not even being able to edit the emblems is a joke, as well as not being able to add logos/sponsors to kits. Takes away the realism of it makes it seem too basic compared to FIFA. The stadium choice on this game is absolutely laughable, 15 stadiums, even Pro Evo 2008 had 32 stadiums, what's their excuse? Could of at least made some generic stadiums, but instead, 43 of the English teams play in the same stadium.

Compare this to messi running round everyone a few games ago its almost gone too far the other way and you cant put 3 passes together and the whole thing feels a bit scripted. Its as good as fifa because it basically is. So you might as well be able to play as Sheffield Wednesday rather than South Yorkshire Blues!

The gameplay isn't bad, but it isn't good either. Controlling players off the ball, especially when trying to defend, is frustrating, as every player seems to move with the mobility of a bloated junkie in withdrawal.
This is unsurprisingly a pain, as you're up against a laser sharp AI and it takes your players half a second to react to your input.
Currently playing the game on Top Player difficulty with no passing assistance, and more and more faults come to surface. You try to make a through pass to Robben, the cursor switches to him, you immediately hold sprint, and he just jogs side-by-side with the defender until he magically 'advances' past Robben and kicks the ball away.
Every time the opposition clear the ball, your player WILL chase after it. Canceling it with LT+RT doesn't work, ever.
The game doesn't seem to know how to deal with passes when you have assistance off either. If any of you have played FIFA, it's like setting everything to manual and trying to pass using through balls (Y) instead. The AI are slow to react to it and make horrible mistakes trying to get to the ball.
In one situation I took a successful throw in, and did an accurate back-heel pass to my teammate (pass-assistance disabled). He proceeded to run away from the ball down the wing as if I had just tried a throughball and instead my winger decided to sprint towards it from 20 meters away. I of course lost possession.
On the upside though, the ball physics are undoubtedly good and make for fairly realistic gameplay due to the trajectory having an effect on where the ball ends up. Rebounds are unpredictable and the weight of the ball seems to be very accurate. Also, the game doesn't seem scripted like FIFA is, and the difficulty of the opposition AI stays consistent throughout.

BUT, the refereeing & tackling system is abysmal, the worst I've ever seen.
I won't even get into that, apart from mentioning that you can get rugby tackled or even physically assaulted by the AI and not even get a foul called your way.

Free kicks in this game seem worse than in PES12 and 13. I don't understand why they added some hilariously bad FIFA2002-like trajectory display thing, it was perfect as it was two or three years ago.
It just makes it even more difficult to get the ball to go where you want it, and you can never exactly tell.
Other than that, they are still better than in FIFA.
Become a Legend isn't worth getting into. If you're planning on getting this game (a year late for whatever reason), for BAL mode, then don't bother.
They've been removing features from it year by year, it's bland and difficult to enjoy (even if you really try).
The AI NEVER pass to you, unless you call for the ball. I spent almost two seasons playing out 15 minute long games as a center forward, and I don't think I ever once had a winger actually cross the ball to me. They just jog with it no matter how many times you tell them to pass to you, until eventually softly floating it into the box past your head or running it out of play. You don't get rewarded for being in the right positions at the right time ever, at all.
Master league is decent, but no more than that. Transfers are completely random, and all the other teams NEVER change their formations and tactics. I don't really understand why.

The presentation is sub-par too. The PC version seems to be intentionally toned down visually, for whatever reason. I guess they want even less sales.
The one major up-side to PES2015, is the tactical system, which I hope stays the way it is (as long as they add the wingback position too). Definitely superior to the joke that is FIFA.

To sum it up, it's not a bad game, but 6/10 is the most I'd give it, I just don't want this to be a 'positive' review, because it isn't. It has its flaws, which become more obvious at higher difficulties and the more you get into it. It would easily get a higher score if they had actually put some effort into the refereeing system and not made the movement of players so sluggish, which are the two main cons for me at the moment.
Hopefully Konami doesn't take another two steps back next year, and builds on this. With hopefully positive development and focus on the right areas of the game, next years' title could easily be 8/10.

As somebody who has played EA's fifa series for almost 10 years I can say that there games have grown stale. They play like arcade games, but this year I tried PES and I must say this game is the best football game I have played for many years. If your a fan of football you owe yourself to buy this.

PES is the soccer simulator now. But it still needs some improvements to be the number one (and without discussion). The real thing is that none of them FIFA and PES worth buying a new version next year. They don't deserve it because it is almost the same game. They don't risk unless they are allowed to.

Looks like the devs had faith in their selves and kept iterating on last year's half-baked garbage and turned it into a cake!

Compared to 2014: This one has better defense, you dont have to micro-manage manually the control the brain dead defensive players. It is almost better to stick to controlling one player and let the others do what necessary. Shooting feels okay as it did but

Shooting feels okay as it did but more responsive.
They removed, low-shots which is a bummer, i loved ricocheting the headers from the ground.
This year, it demands more analog precision from the shots.. i dont like that. getting into position should be plot of the game, not analog accuracy.

Menus, music, fine, option file does wonders.

If you play in small bursts, you will love to see your previous settings stay, so just 5 buttons, you are in match with your desired team, desired opponent, stadium, ball weather etc...

Most of the negative views come from the players who play online. This new pes series will not be playable online as long as it is a prefect connection. unlike fifa, game demands you send inputs on time as it first has has to start the proper animation which has some latency because of the realistic nature of the animations.

Very excited about pes 2016 now.

    8/10

PES 2015 is the first on next-gen consoles and it manages to get a little bit closer to its glory days

    + Fun gameplay
    + Great amount of competitions
    + Master League
    + National Teams
    + MyClub...

    - MyClub still not as good as FUT
    - Lack of licenses
    - Graphics need improvement

I really hope konami get back against FIFA. But PES 2015 have so much problems to be a good game.
The graphics are really very bad and the teams are so outdated! Some player are totally different from the real world.

PES progressed into the elite league after years in the second division and immediately joined the battle for the title. What loses to FIFA 15 in the presentation, it makes up in the core gameplay itself. [Issue#249]

The disparity between Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 and the latest FIFA is obvious. Pro Evolution has better gameplay, while FIFA has the better team licenses. It’s up to the player to decide which aspect is more important. [Jan 2015]

PES is back. It still has a lot to catch up on in self-promotion, licensing, and user-friendliness, but as of the matches themselves, football from Konami is again at the top after many years.
