SingStar Ultimate Party is a party that's only half successful: you can still have fun (even lots of, in certain conditions), yet with different choices the outcome could have been far more memorable.

Fun for belting out a few tunes at a party, Singstar Ultimate Party simply doesn't offer the variety to give it any form of longevity. Add to that some serious mic pickup issues, and the game quickly loses any party charm.

SingStar is yet to be dethroned as gaming's number one karaoke franchise, but its latest installment is a lazy update that skimps on features and playlist variety.

This is not the ultimate karaoke experience that was promised. Changes applied to a great formula will definitely annoy those who love the franchise. Singing in your phone looks cool, when it works, but in terms of content and game modes, it's just a regression. Sad.

It's a shame that such a much-loved series has come to this, but here we are. So to conclude, SingStar Ultimate Party gets one point for nice menu screens and one point for Carly Rae Jepsen.
