    Let's be honest, Capcom did the excellent work overall.
    Creepy atmosphere is totally leaking out from the screen and this is what people love.
    Beautiful visuals, amazing depressing sounds and freaky story forces me to keep playing.
    Strongly recommend to everyone!

    Brilliant game. Not so scary. Game runs perfectly on PS5. Its not hard either. Should have choosen hardcore difficulty.

    Solid game. Doesn't do anything great but at the same time doesn't do anything badly. Graphics are nice but lack in colour variation. Level design is decent but I disliked the fact you couldn't backtrack to some areas. Combat was fine but not massively fun due to the fact there wasn't enough enemy variety and I wasn't a big fan of the blocking system. The bosses were definitely theSolid game.     Probably the best game I've ever played. The storyline was amazing. The fact it circled back to previous events in THIS game as well as events in RE7 made it even better. It kept me on my toes the whole time, always wondering what was to come. I'm not a crazy fan of horror/scary, but it just worked so well I didn't even notice. It was the perfect blend of scary, action and thriller. IProbably the best game I've ever played. The storyline was amazing. The fact it circled back to previous events in THIS game as well as events in RE7 made it even better. It kept me on my toes the whole time, always wondering what was to come.     Lady D was overrated. This game was pretty disappointing though, it was good, just my expectations were shattered. The best part of the game was that "house", wont go into much detail. If you know you know.

    Man, this game was SO GOOD! I really enjoyed my time with it. This game probably has the most gorgeous, stunning graphics and art direction that I have ever seen. My god it is so majestically beautiful! Exploring in this game is such a treat (but it can be scary xD). The gameplay and story were engaging and thrilling. There was also a lot of variety in the game. It's one of the bestMan, this game was SO GOOD! I really enjoyed my time with it.     Good game, boss fights, new places and so on. What liked the most are the environment and the weapons. Then player can use many weapons and upgrade them. What I disliked is the graphics. It is not that much for ps5. I recommend you to play it.

    Классный главный герой, интересный, затягивающий сюжет. Красивая графика и ОЧЕНЬ быстрые загрузки. Игра выполнена отлично, но ничего глобально нового не приносит. По этому 9/10 по моему мнению.

    I really like it and i think it's very well done Resident Evil game. It has Resident Evil 7 camera and Resident Evil 4 elements like inventory/merchant. It even has some RE2 Remake elements, that i'm not gonna spoil. Way more normal enemies than in RE7 (that's a +), more bosses (also a +), bosses actually look interesting, some of them reminded me The Evil Within bosses (that's a +).I really like it and i think it's very well done Resident Evil game.     The Good:

    * Great graphics in general. There is some LOD issues in the village where occasionally some geometry like buildings switches from low poly to high poly when you're looking right towards it. * Great performance even with maxed out settings in 4k. * Great level design with lots of exploration and optional areas. * Good story (much better than RE7). * Great gameplay.    The Good:

    * Great performance even with maxed out settings in 4k.

    * Great level design with lots of exploration and optional areas.

    * Good story (much better than RE7).

    * Great gameplay.

    * Didn't notice a single bug other than the LOD issue.

    The Bad:

    * The game economy mainly revolves around upgrading weapons. Some upgrades are down right useless, like 0.1s increased reload speed. If you do most optional stuff you will have an overload of money, which in the end you can only spend on useless upgrades with minimal to no value.

    * Some areas (Windmill and Stronghold) are short and felt rushed which was a bit disappointing. If these two areas had been more fleshed out, the game could have been a bit longer which would have been good since it's only about 11 hours long.

    * Towards the end (Stronghold and onwards), the action is taken way too far. It basically becomes an action shooter instead of a horror game as you expect an enemy behind every corner.

    Verdict:

    The game is basically a mix of RE7 and RE4 (a mix of horror and action shooter) but better than both. Sometimes the action is taken a bit too far for my taste. The game is around 11 hours if you do the optional stuff, so slightly longer than RE7, so it's quite short but I prefer quality over quality. If you like RE7 and the FPS direction you will definitely like this one, just be aware that this game is more action shooter focused.

    congratulation. this game is the child of those two games and perfectly suits you . RE8 just perfectly balanced between horror and action .when you killed dozens of Lycians ,then be ready cause the big tall vampire lady is chasing you and there is nothing you can do except running away from her. every 10 minute it has surprise under its sleeve . the    9.75/10

Resident Evil 8 feels very polished, the puzzles are intuitive and not annoying, there's a great factor of exploration and getting valuables, which is very rewarding when you manage to find that hidden treasure.     As a hardcore Resident Evil Fan i must say while The ending Gets pretty action packed (Tho it makes sense lore and story wise why it does And DAMN is it Fun) most the game is a PERFECT blend of Horror and Action, i genuinely found more horror in this game on some parts then even RE7 had to offer. Also this game Follows the RE4 forumla SO well, Legit a RE7+RE4 love child. Whole game has very strong Resident Evil 4 vibes and i dig that a lot, because RE4 is one my favorite games of all time.     RE village is a great game. If you rush trough the story it might feel like a short game but there is enough to explore. Personally I prefer a shorter great game than those long-winded 100 hour+ games. I would recommend this masterpiece to everyone who likes horror.

    This is the best part in the series, over the past 10-15 years, very atmospheric and with a more or less sane plot.

    The gameplay - is standard as in other parts of the series. The plot - is strong and interesting. The atmosphere - is very coolly balanced, there is both horror and action (there is more horror). Difficulty - playing hardcore, you will get EVERYTHING that is required    This is the best part in the series, over the past 10-15 years, very atmospheric and with a more or less sane plot.

    The gameplay - is standard as in other parts of the series.
    The plot - is strong and interesting.
    The atmosphere - is very coolly balanced, there is both horror and action (there is more horror).
    Difficulty - playing hardcore, you will get EVERYTHING that is required from a resident evile (at lower difficulties you will lose the whole essence of the game).
    Puzzles - there are a LOT of them and very diverse and very interesting.
    Back tracking - is probably the biggest of all the previous parts.
    Enemies - there are many of them, each with its own characteristics (both externally and gameplay).

    For anyone who was afraid that Resident 8 was too disconnected from the series and no longer looked like Resident Evil, rest assured. At least in gameplay and atmosphere, Village does not disappoint and consolidates one of the best eras of the franchise, but it does not get to surpass the acts of action, the 3 eras Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6.

    Finally Capcom is going back to their Resident Evil 4 (Best Resident Evil game of all time) roots. It's about time. Way better than Resident Evil 7 in literally every way possible. More actually interesting/fun boss fights, Weapon Upgrades, enemies drop loot (as they should), beautiful graphics. Can't wait to see what they do with Resident Evil 4 Remake, because now i'm hyped.

There's nothing scary about that, it's just annoying. Just cause you can fight back and upgrade guns, doesn't mean that game is not scary anymore. This logic makes no sense.     This game is scary, but there is a specific part of the game that is pure psychological horror and it's scary as hell.

    Uh, just buy it, ok? I am giving this a 10/10 because of replayability and I really do believe the game is all around great.

    Я сыграл в resident evil village 12 часов и дошёл до финала. И все эти 12 часов я не мог оторваться от экрана. Новый резидент не боится экспериментов и кучку "толерантнных " критиков ,которые придрались бы к неестественным и специфическим решениям авторов данного произведения. И в итоге можно говорить много про новый резидент , но надо ценить такие игры в такое тяжёлое время и всяческиЯ сыграл в resident evil village 12 часов и дошёл до финала. И все эти 12 часов я не мог оторваться от экрана. Новый резидент не боится экспериментов и кучку "толерантнных " критиков ,которые придрались бы к неестественным и специфическим решениям авторов данного произведения.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. One of the best Resident Evil games ever. By the end of Resident Evil Village, it quickly became my favourite RE game. Only complaint i have is that Heisenberg’s Factory lasted a bit too long and started to overstay it’s welcome. But Heisenberg’s boss fight after it all is so much fun, definitely the best and most fun out of all the fights, Mother Miranda being a close second. They really nailed Ethan in this game, to the point i was rooting for him to get Rose back and make it out alive. The ending was so sad after everything Ethan went through in RE7 with saving Mia and RE8 to save his daughter, Rose. Him slowly turning to mold because his body is now made of it and him sacrificing himself to blow the Village up while Chris, Mia and Rose fly away in a helicopter.… Expand

I think 7 and 8 are the best so far I've been there when the first resi came out and for their time those where great resi 4 is still great today but let's face it 7 and 8 are the best they changed resi for the better, I even liked the part where you played Chirs Redfield and just blew the **** out of every monster you came across which was the exact thing I hated about resi 5 and especially 6. Also that baby part with the puppet master just gave me silent hill p.t. vibes. They almost **** it with the you were dead all along, but it did make sense so I give it a pass. 10/10 Haven't enjoyed a game like this since resi 7, we need more horror games like this.     Capcom is finally going back to their Resident Evil 4 roots aka best era of Resident Evil. Can't praise them enough, so i'm just gonna say thank you! This really means a lot to me, because Resident Evil 4 is my all time favorite game and to be able to experience something similar again, is just amazing. Thank you Capcom!

This is not about creeps (zombies, werewolves, etc.) but about the type of bosses. And in part, he himself, without any help, went into America's hole on his own. Whom that heaps of years ago his wife disappeared, and then boom and she sent him a video. And our hero did not think that this could be a trap or something else, and did not give this video to the police for examination. I went into the hole myself. Isn't he normal? Or, simply because of feelings, he did not begin to attach anyone, such as their family affairs, etc. Okay, these are all predictions, this is just a cutter.
    So now let's move on to the resik itself:
    From a technical point of view, the game's optimization is good, not perfect, but better than Ubisoft games (kill the software). The graphics are great, the beams work fine there without RTX. Textures are WOW, I have not seen such high-quality textures since 2019. Of course, you choose how much the texture memory will be fat. Bugs, yes they are. And in any games they are also there. And during the game I met only 2bags, this is when the werewolf flew and instead of Dimitrescu I was pursued by her dress.
    About the plot: at first ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nothing is clear, and only from the middle and at the end everything starts to happen. Only now I did not understand one thing, so Ethan died and all this time he was out of mold, or Evelina ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ etc. Although ... At the end, Ethan's hand disappears like the other mold-dicks.
    Bosses: there are 5 of them.

    Dumb Doll (Beneviento): Just a wacky doll with a minus IQ. Her house is scarier than the whole 8rezik. Of course there is everything because of the golucinations, but damn it is dumb and scary.
    Water moron (??? He only remembered that he was "Scarecrow"):
    Niryaha and a very disgusting character who whines all the time that he is not loved and that instead of Ethan he should have been with her. In principle, we are similar to him (

    Good game i liked the visuals and the variety of monsters. The game had some good puzzles and boss fights. Upgrading is better than RE7 with more variety. However, it was not scary at all not once did the game make me jump. If it had RE7 dark atmosphere it would be higher. And a certain area of the game was strange and didnt fit in with the game. The game was a bit easy too.

    I found it confusing in some parts, but the interaction with the story throughout the campaign explains everything as clearly as possible. Capcom really surprised us with the story that I found incredible, not to mention that it leaves a taste of nostalgia for RE4. Great game.

    Resident Evil Village is the best Resident Evil game I have ever played. From the atmosphere of the Village to the level and Art design of the Castle. Everything feels masterfully thought out, and it is accompanied by a fantastic story at it's core, with Ethan Winters' story being wrapped up in a satisfying way. A must play for all Resident Evil fans, old and new.

    Finally rolled the credits on village ❤ it took me 10 hours to beat the main campaign with almost 80 percent of side content involved and i have to say capcom surely deserves all the credit here

    Take the best parts from R4 and R7, add inspiration from P.T., Alien Isolation, Silent Hill - mix all together with great maps design, unexpected turns in story plot and a lot of unique enemy types - this is a recipe of RE8 success.

    I finished my first playthrough in 8 1/2 hours, which doesnt seem that long given the price I paid for it. Other AAA-games double or triple that with ease. But where others (for example AC Valhalla) bored me to death with their empty interchangable characters and story, Resident Evil 8 shines with a quality experience. Particularly that grotesque cabinet of well written and acted characters, the villians could be taken straight out of a Tim Burton movie. Not to mention the pacing and plot twists, which i didnt expect at all to be that compelling. All in all definitly a memorable Adventure.

    The graphics, oh my god, the graphics. I have rarely found myself wondering in awe at a Game that much. For me Resi 8 joins the ranks of Horizon Zero Dawn, Control, Cyberpunk, Tomb Raider and AC Odyssey/Valhalla. (I know there are more, but those were the most stunningly looking that Ive acutally played). Its not only that the textures, the lightning, reflections and all the technical shenanigans are great, but its the balance of light, shadows, coloring, reflections etc. that makes this game truly shine. Capcom managed to find the sweet spot to set the perfect tone for Ethans second Journey through the Marcabre.

    The sound design, for me is always the special child. From the roaring of the beasts or the sound of the guns to the little rustles, snaps, creaks and cracks. All those litte details that were added, Capcom absolutely nailed it. I found myself all too often cramped up in my chair holding my breath in tense situations, to a good portion thanks to the superb sound design and muscial composition.

    Last but not least, the gameplay. For the most part Resi 8 follows the same phases. Get to a new area, kill boss, explore for extra loot, upgrade stuff, repeat. Sounds simple,.. and, well it is. But you dont really need much innovation, when the structure you built is filled with Quality content. E.g. the balance of loot and currency/treasure for upgrades. I never felt having an excess of either, but also never felt like there was an all too threating shortage as long as i played it smart (on Standard difficulty). This kinda stands symbolic for the whole gameplay experience. Also got to mention, in my almost lifelong career as a gamer i have probably killed a thousand bosses, but after some of resi 8`s bosses I was just smiling, thinking:"F**k, that was awesome.." Capcom has to have done something right achieving this. I guess, its a mixture of all the things ive stated above.

    Conclusively, Resident Evil 8 follows a simple recipe, but a simple recipe done right.. and that all the way. The sound, gaphics, story, map, riddles, gunplay etc... the whole feeling of it. And sadly nowadays you have to state that (at least in my exp.) they did it bug free. *looks over at CDPR with visible dejection*    … Expand

    Sistema de inventario igual al de resident evil 4 , que personalmente me gusta mucho , el mercader funciona muy bien y divertido .
    y lo mejor del juego el sonido , impresionante lo que logro capcom haciendolo uno de los juegos mas inmersivos que he jugado nunca de 10 este apartado
    Por cierto uso del dualsense muy logrado , sobre todo con las armas INCREIBLE
    Tiempo de juego , es un poco mas largo que el 7 pero tampoco es de soprenderse resident evil nunca ha sido una saga de juegos largos por lo que no puedo ponerlo como un defecto
    Y por ultimo hablare de los puzles , historia , boss fights
    Los puzles son simples , me parece que capcom tiene que seguir mejorando en este sentido , aunque en este juego mejoro respecto a entregas anteriores le falta todavia . Hay puzles que llegan a ser ingeniosos y otros que son muy basicos .
    La historia es buena pero podia haber sido mucho mejor , Capcom tiene que mejorar la narrativa y esto no es solo algo particular de este juego sino de muchas de sus franquicias incluyendo a resient evil . haciendote sentir que no entiendes nada , que todo es especulacion , es complicado de explicarlo , personajes como chris redfield que tenia mucha espectacion acabaron siendo desaprovechado , apareciendo muy pocas veces en el juego y aun no entiendo del porque ocupa la portada del juego
    Las boss fight estan bien , un poquito mejores del estandar de esta saga
    En el unico apartado donde este juego es peor que el 7 es en el dieño de nivel .
    En conclusion estamos ante uno de los mejores resident evil top 4 por lo menos .
    Lo mejor : Ambientacion , jugabilidad , diversion , apartado sonoro, tecnicamente excelente , artisticamente de escandalo , armas , variedad de situaciones , dualsense (ps5)
    Lo peor: Historia , Fisicas mejorables respecto a la destruccion de escenarios , diseño de nivel .

    Beautiful game. Graphics are top-notch. RE engine doing work! The devs have really stepped up their game. They've crafted an amazing world. I was surprised with how varied and plentiful the areas were. The lighting effects of this game are so perfect throughout the game. Even on PS5, the raytracing looks great with a steady frame rate. Gameplay is amazing. The shooting feels good and isBeautiful game. Graphics are top-notch. RE engine doing work! The devs have really stepped up their game. They've crafted an amazing world. I was surprised with how varied and plentiful the areas were. The lighting effects of this game are so perfect throughout the game. Even on PS5, the raytracing looks great with a steady frame rate. Gameplay is amazing. The shooting feels good and is well balanced for a survival horror game. The enemies are varied and so well designed. The combat itself is very good. Plenty of weapons. The merchant is great. Speaking of which.. the cast in the game is what makes it great. The characters are amazing. Both on the good and bad side. The boss fights are amazing setpieces. Story is very interesting. It does miss some deliveries in some scenes as is the usual with RE games honestly. But this game has a lot really cool stuff to add to the RE lore and story going forward which I loved. The extra content is also plentiful and encouraging to go through.

    All in all. This RE has a plentiful of all the good stuff I and fans of the series probably want in an RE game. Great Horror, exploration, item management, Gunplay, treasure hunts, boss fights, story, shocking and epic moments.

    My actual score of this game is 9/10
    But I give it 10 here cuz metacritic sucks and it's either 0 or 10. They probably should just change it to thumbs up/down lol    … Expand

However I have an issue with the game itself and I hope we'll see some improvement in the future. The length of the game. Resident evil games aren't long to finish the main story which is a shame. You pay a game for 60/70 bucks to play it for 10 hours and then be doneAlright, the game was great. The story is far better then the Resident Evil 7's story, the gameplay as always is awesome. You pay a game for 60/70 bucks to play it for 10 hours and then be done with it. Which is what most people who bought the game will do. There are some challenges you can do in order to play longer, but in my opinion, the main story should be longer. I personally would enjoy Resident Evil 9 a lot more if the main story was roughly 20 hours long instead of 9 or 10.

    I wouldn't want them to stretch out the story, forcefully make it longer therefore boring, I'd want them to try and make a longer story while keeping the fun of it. Or at least make it cheaper because it's a little too expensive in my taste. Solo games nowadays should last between 20 to 40 hours in my opinion. Other than the game length, I don't have any issue with the game, everything was explained, I like the new mechanic introduced (or should I say IntroDuked). All in all, it's a great game, I wouldn't say it's worth the 70 euros if you're planning on playing for a while but if you're in it for the story, then maybe.    … Expand

    Similarly to Resident Evil 4 back in the day, Village will attract a new generation of players and redefine the franchise for the modern age. I guess it’s time to stop looking back and counting on the series to return to its roots. Capcom is well aware of those roots and willingly draws from them to create something new but still infused with Resident Evil’s spirit. Village is not perfect, but neither was RE4, and once again it’s easy to turn a blind eye to the flaws, because overall it’s an amazing game. [07/2021, p.56]

    Resident Evil Village feels like such a culmination. Bringing together elements from the franchise all the way up to now and crafting what looks to be the next step of survival horror, it embraces every aspect of the franchise. While the insidious dread of Resident Evil VII is missing, there are still plenty of scares. The monster designs are fantastic, from the generations undead, the fury of the Lupine beasts, to the towering monstrosities. It's well worth delving into the concept art and 3D models to enjoy them fully. The story is just the right amount of silly with the terrifying, and the odd dash of the surreal. The combat is smooth and fluid, best evidenced in the addictive Mercenaries mode. All of these elements added together make quite possibly the best Resident Evil to date, and a foundation for a fresh new generation of terror.

    RE: Village is a mixture of almost all previous Resident Evil elements, making the most of both survival horror and puzzle intensity, but with the primary stage being left for the more action-like nature of Resident Evil 4. It has some great story moments, sprinkled with a few lacklustre characters that are still overshadowed by its most notable characteristic – most detailed environment to date.
