A celebration of the unbridled fun and silliness that makes the series so enjoyable to play while adding some neat touches to the endless platforming formula.
Running around without a head and with bombs for hands is far more fun than you'd think, and even if the game doesn't ramp up the challenge as much as most of its ilk, the total quirk and oddness of it all should make for an enjoyable experience for most.
I think the biggest problem this game faces is the appeal factor for folks who aren't already interested in the Serious Sam world. If you aren't already familiar with the franchise, the game doesn't do anything to tell you why you should be.
Fittingly shallow and suitably silly, this auto-runner is one of the better examples of the genre, if still limited in its appeal.
Unfortunately, Kamikaze Attack is a proverbial one-trick pony, and it won't be long before you've had enough kicking frogs and deflecting rockets. It gets old, and fast.
For a buck, it's a cheap way to whet your appetite for the upcoming console/PC return of Sam, but has little appeal beyond that.
Summary Remove your head, grab some bombs, and step into the boots of Serious Sam’s most iconic foe, the Headless Kamikaze. Dodge hazards and heavy ordinance from the cowardly Serious Sam himself as you make your way through the chaotic action in an attempt to do what you do best: blow up the vile Serious Sam.AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!
