As aBitterly disappointed that Stadia, a platform on-par performance-wise with XBox Series X and PS5, does not merit Next Gen features. As a result, Madden 22 is basically Madden 21 with new rosters and some franchise mode enhancements. It actually feels harder to complete passes on offense, while on defense against the AI, it’s incredibly hard to stop offenses from moving the ball at will against you. Madden is still interception heavy, as well. I regret paying the full $60 for a PS4/XOne experience on Stadia. In addition, the kick timing is worse than it was with Madden 21. Controller presses don’t seem to register on the ‘down swing’ and result in missed field goals. I’ve taken to double or triple tapping on the down swing in hopes of it registering. This was rare in Madden 21, but is the norm in 22. There’s no other place in the gameplay where any latency is noticed except the kicking game. EA could probably tweak this, and they SHOULD update the Stadia version with Next Gen features, but my guess is, given Stadia’s relative audience size, they will be content to give us the stripped down version of Madden. At any rate, not saying don’t buy this game, but consider strongly waiting for a price drop that at least makes it feel like you didn’t spend Next Gen $ for “least effort required” port. Expand

There is no reason why other than pure laziness as the tech can handle the next gen. The game play is the same as other version and still broken. Commentary is still old and stale. Not worth the price but wait till on sale and many patches and it might be playable Expand

I have been playing Madden since Madden 92. It is extremely disappointing to see the state that this game is in now. you expect anything toI have been playing Madden since Madden 92. It is extremely disappointing to see the state that this game is in now. you expect anything to get better with time, but not Madden. I have had every copy of Madden since Madden 92. My recent purchases of Madden was simply because it's the only "simulation" football game available. It got to the point that I couldn't take it anymore, so I refused to buy Madden 21 and I wont be buying Madden 22. This game has turned into pure unadulterated garbage. I play Franchise mode, I'm in online franchise leagues with my friends for pure bragging rights. This game is so broken, it's not fun anymore. they take old features from older Madden and put it in the game like it's a new feature. They are stealing the NHL and NCAA features and putting it in Madden. This is so sad, the glitches have become the norm and they claim that an update is coming in September for the new scouting in franchise mode. Given EA's track record, I don't trust them. I wish the NFL would do something about this, Let 2K get back in the football business. Expand
