The speedy pacing and diverse, but limited, mini-games keep the energy high and the excitement rolling. This is one of the can't-miss titles for the brand new PlayStation Move.
I love the Party Games, is funny can play with friends or the family, I think that the mini-games need be funny, and Start the Party! have a really amazing mini-games, I feeling funny when I play this game. Is a great job of SCEA.
As a Playstation Move launch title, it does a great job of showing off what could potentially be done with the hardware in the future, but as an actual game, it stinks.
Start the Party is a collection of entirely un-fun mini games for PlayStation Move with obnoxious presentation. A horrible example of the worst that casual gaming has to offer. Avoid at all costs.
This game has been given some very unfair ratings... For starters this is going to be a great game for: Party's,Kids and the whole family. The controls work well and the graphics are great. This is a real taster of what the Playstation Move has to offer!!!
I have to say, I find some journalists irresponsible for rating this game very low. It's clearly aimed at families, and not at a 17 year old who's out for a blood-splattering body count. Start the Party pull together a bunch of mini games and clusters of micro games where up to four can compete. This is somewhat similar to the Warioware Smooth Moves game on Wii, however, it lacks the staggering amount of mini games which is what made the Nintendo series quite appealing. Start the Party may be lacking in the quantity department, but it sure makes up with player interaction where technically it makes the Wii's offering look like a fossil . The superb use of augmented reality has players looking at themselves on screen, but what really sets it apart is watching your Move controller literally becoming a mole-smashing mallet, a flashlight, sword, and many other crazy items to interact with. Everyone gets to photograph themselves and record their voice for their wacky animated avatar. The graphics are colorful and really well animated, and the host's voice is perfect for this game-show like atmosphere, and at times, quite hilarious. Some games are simplistic and non-memorable, while others are downright clever. Come on, waving an animated portable fan to guide baby birds into nests has got to be seen.. especially when you miss. The game eerily feels tactile at times, between the live interaction and timed force feedback. Will it have the longevity an RPG? Of course not, but open minded adults will have quite a few laughs, and kids will be completely awestruck.
The controller is an impressive example of what she has it and is convincing. Unfortunately, the single player mode for a short time like that. Of boring, ensure that only the changing colors on the Move controller for mood
This game has so much potential only to be held back by lazy developing. Seeing yourself on your television interacting with the screen with depth-in-reality is awesome!! There is no other way to describe it, and all of the mini-games are enjoyable, some more so than others but each game will at least bring you entertainment. The obvious and most devastating flaw with the game is the lack of playability, there are only a few games with very few variations of the games. Therefore, beating and mastering this game to its full extent will take you 3 hours at the most, you may have a little fun with your family in this title, but after playing through the scarce mini games once or twice, your gonna move on to a much better title and never pick this up again.
Start the Party
