Oct 11, 2018This isn’t just a historically significant assemblage of games, it’s also an immensely fun one. Fans of the genre and those new to it should definitely consider giving it a download, particularly for the games that are appearing on home console for the first time.
-
Sep 23, 2018It’s a solid collection of classic games that are pretty well represented here.
-
Sep 23, 2018Seven of the best Capcom's beat 'em up in a single shot with local/online multiplayer, customizable options and a little good-old-days arcade museum. For less than 20 bucks it's a retro heaven.
-
Sep 18, 2018This collection illustrates perfectly why this particular genre was the toast of video gaming in the late '80s and early '90s. Addictive, enjoyable and – perhaps most important of all – bloody good fun when played co-operatively with friends, all of the titles in this seven-strong compendium are worth your time, and by adding robust local and multiplayer support, Capcom has done its utmost to ensure they find favour with a whole new generation of gamers. If you're not a fan of the genre then you may well be wondering what all the fuss is about, but for everyone else, this is a must-have download.

Sep 26, 2018The Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle is another welcome feather in the cap that is their redemption arc that we’ve been seeing in 2018, and if you’re dying to knock heads with Mayor Haggar or rack up some coin with the crew of Battle Circuit, this is an excellent reminder of why Capcom did so much for this genre.
-
Sep 20, 2018If you don’t really care for brawlers, the games in this collection aren’t going to change your mind. That said, there is a lot of value in the Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle, and I highly recommend it to fans of the genre or those who love couch co-op games.
-
Sep 18, 2018Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle is a great collection of classics that honors a great genre that has remained in the hearts of many veteran players.
-
Oct 3, 2018Right price, seven great old games, lots of options. No retrogamer can want anything else.
-
CD-ActionFeb 13, 2019It’s a pity that this bundle does not include more prominent games, because the ones we get are probably completely obscure to many players. On the other hand though it’s a chance to travel to possibly unknown regions of the past and see how the genre evolved. Oh, and Armored Warriors is really cool. [12/2018, p.89]
-
Oct 30, 2018A great collection of arcade games tied together in a neat package for modern audiences. Though not every game brings something necessarily new or unique, there is definitely something in here for every beat ’em up fan.
-
Oct 19, 2018While Capcom Beat’Em Up Bundle does have some online multiplayer issues it’s still a ton of fun overall.
-
Oct 7, 2018Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle brings seven historic Capcom beat 'em up games to the Nintendo Switch in a collection that acts as a retrospect of the genre. The games are accurately portrayed and feature an enjoyable cooperative multiplayer but the online component displays some problems and the game feels limited in its audio and visual options. Nevertheless, this is an impressive collection of beat 'em up classics, both for fans and new players.
-
Sep 25, 2018It can be hard sometimes to make collections for retro games feel exciting, especially if those games have been released numerous times before. Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle bucks that trend not only by having games that are still enjoyable to this day, but also by including two titles that are finally being released on consoles for the first time. A few issues mars the overall package, but not enough to put a major damper on its offerings.
-
Sep 18, 2018Despite missing some of the best games in the genre, Capcom Beat ’Em Up Bundle is a good collection that fans will enjoy remembering the good old coin-op era.
-
Sep 18, 2018Capcom at its finest: a bunch of interesting and still largely enjoyable beat'em up.
-
Nintendo Force MagazineFeb 26, 2019While each title has its own appeal, brawlers are inherently repetitive by nature, so the focus on a single style of gameplay can be exhausting after a bit. [Issue #37 – January/February 2019, p. 20]
-
Oct 8, 2018Where there are some rampant online problems, Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle is a nostalgic trip back to memory lane. A collection of solid titles with some robust local multiplayer and gameplay options make this one a no-brainer for newcomers or veterans of the genre.
-
Sep 18, 2018Although it can be improved, Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle brings together some of Capcom's best beat 'em up games of the 90s in an essential package for any fan of the genre. Its multiple customization options allow any player to enjoy the game and the online mode regardless of their skills. In addition, its gallery mode is simply great.

Sep 19, 2018This came out around the same time Nintendo started charging for online play, and while the blame’s on Capcom, the fact this was promoted in a Nintendo Direct makes the timing absolutely awful. At least on Switch, the Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle is an online disaster.
