Cozy Grove is an incredibly relaxing and soothing game with a beautiful art style, lovely characters and a ton of things to do. I am usually very critical with the games I play but somehow Cozy Grove is so heartwarming and offers so much to do (daily quests, fishing, crafting, bird pets to care for, alot of characters) for such an incredibly low price. I really don't want to sound as if I got bought or something, but I am really rooting for this game, because you really see how much care and effort the developers put into it. In my opinion Cozy Grove is for you, if you want a nice and beautiful game you can play daily for some time to relax, forget the issues of real life and feel cozy. Also, I want to mention there is really a lot of content there. I mean there are 180 fish, over 150 plants atleast, things to cook, so many craftables and every bear (there are atleast 20 from what I know) has a unique story and some personal problems you can easily help them with (their stories so far were not depressing per se, more like funny quirky weirdly relatable). The first days might be a bit slow, since there isn't that much to do (still like 30-60 mins gameplay), but after lets say day 3 there is really a lot to do every day. Thanks for reading!

Biggest downer: It's like paying money to play a beta release. It's as if this game was released as soon as they got to an MVP (minimum viable product) and decided to work on the nits later, and... that just doesn't work so well for a game. I can imagine in a year or so, it will solidify and this complaint will go away.

It's a bit like Animal Crossing, in terms of a 24-hour cycle and things to be done each day, and sort of a limit on how much can be done each day. Also like Animal Crossing in that you are farming things and can make things and decorate your world. Not currently networked / multi-player; I don't know if that's in the plan. The interesting thing about this vs. Animal Crossing is that it is interleaved with the stories of the bears, and the tasks you're given each day help advance those stories.

If you are here for the Animal Crossing vibe, and decorating the world and changing your clothes, it's all good. If you want to learn the bears' stories, be prepared to wait... they take a really long time to unfold. One good thing: you don't have to play consecutive days, so you could put this down for a while and come back later.

Not great for younger kids because the bears have adult problems.

I think there was an interesting ambition here of adding the stories to the farming-/grinding-type game, but it didn't quite (yet?) make it to the level of polish that would have made that idea shine.

Well what can I say this is a delightful little game. A great way to waste a little bit of time while the world is upside down. I think it's well due and timely. If there's one thing that would be a challenge for some is having patience. This game does require you to have patience. It's not a game that you could just completely binge although if you time travel I suppose you could do that. But I don't see the purpose in that. I time-traveled one day and decided, forget it, I'm going to just do it as the developers intended. Although right now I am on one Quest and it's taking a few days and I wish it would kind of move along but I'm practicing patience. I actually work as a kindergarten teacher so I already have lots of it. But for those who don't this may not be the game for you.

    Personally I love it.

After 45 days of play, I've given up. I no longer believe the continual promises that it'll get better later in the game. The reality is that it keeps getting a tiny bit worse with each "advance," and the game wasn't exciting to begin with.

There's not much to love about being a gofer for an ever-increasing number of spirits. These spirits have personal issues that are serious enough to keep them stuck in the material world. They're not lovable spirits, nor even likeable. And they just keep getting increasingly demanding every day.

There's not really much more to Cozy Grove than finding hidden objects for the spirits, or buying things from the store for them (with your own funds). You can't chat with the spirits, except that a few will deliver up to two canned thoughts per day. You can't build anything. You can't change the island (it changes on its own). Probably the most disappointing aspect is that you have no choices to make; just do as you're told.

You're a kid doing chores for the grown-ups. Maybe they should've called it Chore Simulator.

EDIT: A game-breaking bug has appeared. Certain types of items keep vanishing from my backpack, making some quests impossible to finish. Lovely little game, marred by some technical issues. It is prone to slowing down a fair bit, especially when you are running across the island. There's also a fair old bit of sudden pop-in for background object.

Other than that, it's a nifty little thing, that's meant to be played for 30 to 60 minutes per day. That might not suit some people, but I'm sure I wont be the only person who finds this suitable.

Pro-Tip : When placing objects, put them in your hand first, then throw them to the spot you want them to be in. It's so much more accurate than just dropping them where you stand.

Have you ever thought that #AnimalCrossing should be a mobile game now (the full game, not that “camping version”)? Well, #CozyGrove is like AC but better, and it’s on iOS too, thanks to #AppleArcade . I’m really enjoying my time with it!

A beautiful little game, so charming and saddening at the same time. I've seen alot of complaints about the game limiting you on story progression on each playthrough, i don't necessarily see this as a bad thing, it keeps the grinding to a minimum while offering plenty of peaceful music and story to leave you satisfied until the next day. Highly recommend, they're few games that do the Animal Crossing formula well, this is one of them. Expand

The game is very well put together from what I gather so far (I’m on day 3) the music is wonderful and each of the bears has a great story to tell. It’s nice to be able to hop in and complete your tasks for the day and not have to grind for hours. I’m very happy with Cozy Grove

It's fun for the first few days - collecting materials and unlocking various things, but it gets much less enjoyable after that. If you don't luck out and get one of the recipes that use the 4 fish bones, making money becomes a huge grind. If you try to make money from using any of the other crafting materials, you soon become unable to progress in the story because of the absurd material requirements from quests and how limited some materials are. Even if you're not trying to make money and simply want to craft items to decorate your island, you're eventually forced to choose between doing that or progressing the story. I appreciate that the developers are working to address the game balance issues, as the issues seriously make this game hard to enjoy.
For achievements, the game requires you to place a ton of trees, flowers, and animals, but there is substantial lag the more items you place.

O jogo é muito bem feito, ele te faz relaxar enquanto joga e não ficar com a mente acelerada pensando em como subir de nível.

I bought this game thinking it would be a nice change of pace from Animal Crossing, but it's literally just Animal Crossing but full 2D and a little more progression based (and ghosts) . If you want a better game, and you're not on a budget, just get Animal Crossing New Horizons. However if you are on a budget, it's actually a pretty good game.

Stardew Valley fans will feel right at home in this charming and beautiful game. Unfortunately, the more I played, the more flaws I noticed (e.g. fetch quests being the main course) and the more I was annoyed by poor optimization. Problems with the latter intensified as my base grew and they’re the main reason I couldn’t rate Cozy Grove higher. [07/2021, p.70]

The concept of interacting with and aiding spirits might sound on the creepy side, but with a watercolour palette, plentiful humour, and appropriate ratios of compassion and crankiness, Cozy Grove is certainly a fun addition to Nintendo Switch's game library. Regular updates add quality of life improvements, plus the new game mechanics add to its appeal. Hugging a digital ghost bear brings far greater joy than can be imagined, thanks to the latest update.

Cozy Grove‘s time-gated content slowed the pace of play too much for me. I love the art style and bringing color back to the island, but when each session’s content ends up being exhausted after 30 minutes or less, it was too easy to forget the whole thing and divert my attention elsewhere. I do look forward to learning more about the spirits, I just wish it wasn’t so slow!
