Those craving for a portable Naruto adventure will rejoice with the release of the Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy for the Nintendo Switch. Three games covering most of the events of the original Naruto and Naruto Shippuden series, are set to give players hours of fun, battling and exploration. An ideal choice for newcomers and those who want to play Naruto games on the go, which, unfortunately, is not recommended for those who have already experienced previous versions of these games to the fullest.

Even without being a true and full remaster that improves graphics, framerate or even add new content, Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy adapt with its highs and lows the trilogy seen on PS4 PS4 and Xbox One, leaving tons of fun and impressive combats, that newcomers will enjoy the most... even with the online modes broken as they're now.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy is a good compilation, although its graphics could be improved. It’s clearly focused on the fans of the manga series that haven’t got the opportunity to enjoy these games before or that want to play them in handheld mode.

Naruto is back again, even on Switch. It has lost the shine of the home consoles version but gained a new a new, portable life. A porting for every fan who wants to fight everywhere with the ninjutsu style.

On Nintendo Switch, in short, the Fox to Nine Code does not show all its power.

As a collection, Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy is pretty pointless. If you're a fan of Kishimoto's manga and for some reasons you didn't play Ultimate Ninja Storm 3: Full Burst when it was originally released, you can buy just this one game. In addition, the switch conversion is pretty sloppy.

Naruto SUNS Trilogy contains three good games, but the graphical quality of this port is not really what we expected, especially in TV mode.

Gran trilogía mi única queja es el apartado gráfico no porque no pueda correrlo la consola si no por la mala optimización de bandai namco

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Ah yes, the storm games. The storm games as you know was an envolution of the ultimate ninja games for the playstation 2. Now here we are years later with the naruto series completed, and borutos legacy begins. The ultimate ninja games are THE pinicale of anime games, no other anime has topped it. I have played all the ultimate ninja games (PS2) and all Storm games (Xbox 360 and PS4)

Naruto Storm Trillogy beings the first 3 games to the switch. If this sells well, we might even get storm 4. No one really cares about storm generations, that game was just filter and used it to introduce new mechanics so that Storm 4 would be perfect. Now here is my quick review of the storm games.

Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 1 review switch

Story - Covers the entire first series

Gameplay - Simplified storm mechanics. The first storm game is the ONLY storm game that features an open world, similar to that of broken bond on xbox 360. So in a sence it's more RPG heavy of the storm games with it being required to do a mission twice to unlock the bonus requirmnts were as later storm games had it on the first try if your skilled enough. Those who never played storm will find that the combat is to get used to before you can truely master it's mechanics. There is a wallrunning battle mechanic on certian maps but this is the only storm game to do this... In fact it would be easier to say what was only to this storm game.

    1. Full Open World were you can climb up buildings and wall run, the later storm games have open world but in an open world sence of an RPG were you cant really climb anything but can still punch, throw shurican and jump but its not that special compared to the first game.
    2. Wallrunning - Storm 2-4 removed it complety.
    3. Minigames - This is the only storm game with mini games like tree climbing and forest running, both with their own obsticals.
    4. Justu clash - the only game were a chidori and a rasangan can clash and you can mash the buttons.
    5. Battle intros were your characters would talk an intro speech before the fight.
    6. Longer ultimate justus, they kind of brought it back in storm generations and 4 with the introduction of team ulitmate justus but for the most part the ulitmate justus were signifently shorter due to the character roster expanding.

Thats about it, the rest was the same for the other storm games. Such as the higlight of the storm games were in fact the boss battles and watching the amazing QTE (Quick Time Event) button press for an epic cinimatic and more highly exagurated than the actual show. Storm 1 did this but very little, the QTE in storm 1 were very short and the boss fights were not that impressive. Still, a very fun expirence storm 1 was.

Sound - Bandai re-uses a lot of their old sound effects for all their games. They reused the Voice Actors from the hack series as well as music and sound effects to the ultimate ninja series, continuing to re-use it all the way to the storm games. Yes even the final storm game re-uses them. Overall they are ok, could have used some different OST though.

Graphics - Been downgraded for the switch but still looks fantastic. On the PS3 those graphics were awsome, much more detailed than storm 2 when it took a graphics dip but a larger character roster. Overall they are great.

Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 2

Story - Covers the start of shippuden all the way to the end of the pain ark.

Gameplay - Same as storm 1 but with all those things that were exlusive to storm 1 were removed in 2. It has better fighting though, a bigger character roster, and most of all had the best QTE boss fights in any anime game ever made.

    Sound - same

Graphics - look at storm 1 review

Naruto shippuden ultimate ninja storm 3

Story - Picks up the next ark all the way until the 4th ninja war ark and ends with a non cannon ending.... Because content I guess. Shorter than the 2nd game kind of.

Gameplay - it was defently overhauled with having a varity of new gameplay features (such as instant awaking with their own special attacks, true awaking, support types like attack, deffense or support, no more substitution spam with having only 4 sub bars, tailed beast awakenings, etc) with storm generations refining it and storm 4 perfecting it. Overall it had WAY better gameplay than storm 1 and 2. Oh yes and this was the first storm game to introduce DLC I think. Storm 2 may or may not have had DLC costumes, dunno cant remeber. It had a bunch of costume DLC and 1 additional senaro DLC of that fantastic sasuke/itachi vs kabuto fight.

    Sound - skip

Graphics - was defently improved in the full burst version of the game. It was much more noticable in the improved QTE boss fights which they just made them even more amazing.

Overall this is a great game to play on the go (storm 1 and 2 were really grindy)

Please support bandai and buy this game as someone who played the original games.

OpeN world of nothing and trash fights. Complete waste of money unless you love fighter games where you can’t block unless you block the first move or throwing star and have to sit through a 20 hit combo screaming at the screen. Save your money for a game more worth it. This game is complete garbage. Expand
