Fitting in neatly with the lineage of previous optical illusion based puzzlers such as Echochrome and Crush. Superlimnal brings a first-person view to the table. It spent many years (Original reveal was all the way back in 2013!) in development, and it is certainly worth the wait!

This was a very enjoyable puzzle game which reminded me of the unfinished swan. There was maybe one puzzle which was a bit too obtuse but generally it was a fun experience. Visually it was also a real treat especially in the later levels. It's quite short but that was a plus in my opinion. It's the perfect game to relax with and enjoy in between bigger releases. The game is more than a sum total of its parts. It’s a game that sticks with you and causes you to see things a little differently after you finish it. It sounds cheesy, but give it a shot and see for yourself. I know all that sounds vague AF, but this is really a game about discovery and learning. If you liked The Witness, this is similar but Superliminal isn’t as cerebral or frustrating. The game is more than a sum total of its parts. Superliminal difficultly stays fair through out and it always finds a way to keep you engaged. As surreal as the game gets, it find a way to ground itself and keep you somewhat oriented. It’s also go a nice, dry, dark sense of humor. It’s short, but every bit of it is well worth the price. Expand

A great game. Reminded me of Portal even though objectively it is entirely different. Actually different every other game I've played. Short, but that way it never ran out of ideas.

SuperLiminal is without a doubt an excellent experience, it hits you with the most unique take on puzzle solving and story telling. It takes two hours or so to complete this, and it's a fun little experience, filled with some smart puzzles interspersed with the odd stinker with little logical sense, but nothing to get particularly stuck or hung up on in the entire play-through. A few "Oh really?!" moments exist as well, as the solution becomes apparent.

This first-person puzzler makes the player manipulate the perspective and use optical illusions in order to solve its challenges and while it's a difficult concept to express, the game is surprisingly satisfying to watch. On the other hand, something seems to have been lost in the way and Superliminal is less fun than it wanted to be, not to mention somewhat repetitive, giving the impression that the player is doing the same puzzle over and over again. Superliminal has its qualities but it's also a difficult game to recommend.

Superliminal borrows some familiar ideas and mixes them in ways that arouse interest. But the content doesn’t match the price, especially for a game that might be more fun to watch than play. However, on sale, this can be an entertaining title if the puzzles click. Like some dreams, this one may linger with you.
