Aug 13, 2013The basic nature of the gameplay makes the game quite accessible. The drop in/drop out nature of the co-op play is great for parents who may want to play with their kids and with a relatively good selection of modes and collectibles the game gives even a bit more reasons to continue to play.

Aug 6, 2013Planes isn't a terrible game by any means, but it's hardly spectacular — and irrespective of how hungry you are for Wii U software, it might not fill you up unless you're a novice player with a passionate love for the movie itself.

Nov 5, 2013Disney Planes is a videogame that's definitely fit for children, a nice gift to place under the tree on Christmas morning, perhaps after seeing the new Disney movie. But it also shows very superficial development that could not pass unnoticed.
-
Aug 8, 2013The game will appeal to small children, its target audience, and may provide an enjoyable multiplayer experience with parents who want to help their kids achieve the game's goals. However, for a game that had the potential to be a fun racer (consider the flying sections of Sega's karting game, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed), it's bland and feels like it was thrown together to meet the release date.

Official Nintendo Magazine UKSep 17, 2013Tolerably mundane. [Oct 2013, p.81]
-
Aug 7, 2013Sadly, the game Behavior has delivered is even less ambitious and more forgettable than a straight retelling of the film’s story might have been.
-
Aug 21, 2013Overall taking into account the target audience, Disney Planes still feels rushed and lightweight.

Sep 10, 2013Entertaining and a lot of fun. Each of 9 characters has 4 levels of story mode. Then there are 3 additional modes. Cutscenes are boring, but fine.
