The year is 2288. The city is protected by an organization called "The Peacekeepers League" and everything is swell except for that it's under attack! By a robot army lead by professor Darnacus Damnation!! Or is it... ?

100 years after the events of Noitu Love 1 the new star of the Peacekeepers is Xoda Rap, and what she has to endure is a sudden resurrection of the Darn armies, but adding to that the city is locally turning to places of the past! What could be causing this?

Using a mouse reticule as a quick-dash-to-enemies and mouse gestures for special moves, Xoda will take on anything that stands in her way in the name of peace! The game shares little in pacing and action to Noitu Love 1. It is more of a continuation on that universe, so expect much more mindless action!

With a game this bursting with energy, you'll have a darn great time wherever you decide to play it. [Issue #24 – November/December 2016, p.23S]

Noitu Love: Devolution is a fun and challenging game once you get used to the controls. While the Normal difficulty is rather easy after getting used to the controls, Hard difficult is where the challenge truly begins. If you’re into these types of games and are up for the challenge, Noitu Love: Devolution is definitely worth the money.

Noitu Love: Devolution certainly appears to be a labour of love. It's the type of game that straddles the line between being an homage to a throwback era and reinventing the wheel with its unique pointer driven control scheme. Although originally meant for a PC audience, the transition to Wii U feels natural. The touchscreen method, while interesting, isn't as ideal as an old fashioned Wii Remote pointer. Regardless, Noitu Love: Devolution is definitely worth your time, although your time may be limited to the comfort of the control scheme you choose.

The levels were varied and the boss battles were spectacular. It is such a shame that the game does not have more meat on it, because in the current form I can only recommend Noitu Love: Devolution to the biggest arcade fans.

If you miss games like Gunstar Heroes or Rocket Knight, Noitu Love is a great choice. It's not too long, but its replayability makes up for it.

A great game is nestled inside of this package, but some of the quality of life deficits that may have been acceptable in the Genesis days are a bit of a sore spot now. Still, there’s not a lot like it on Wii U so it’s worth taking for a spin.

Noitu Love: Devolution is an action sidescroller that is full of action and that makes a good use of the 3DS and Wii U controls at delivering it. Its action might get too confusing at times but that is a small price to pay for a game that is rich in content and beautifully crafted, even if a bit short at times.

Noitu Love Devolution it's a pretty fun game, it is very similar to games made by Treasure like Gunstar Heroes or Alien Soldier, because thereNoitu Love Devolution it's a pretty fun game, it is very similar to games made by Treasure like Gunstar Heroes or Alien Soldier, because there is a ton of action on the screen every second and a ton of bosses, but with a pretty unique control scheme, which uses the mouse and Keyboard/Wiimote/Wii U and 3DS Touchscreen, so you have to click on the screen to attack. This can feel weird at the begginning but it's pretty well executed on the 3 gameplay styles the game has: beat em up, where you go fying all over the screen pounching enemies like if it is Dragon Ball Z, Run and Gun and Light Gun, all of them are pretty fun and over all the game never stop and it's a blast to play, also the 16 or 32 bit style it has it's pretty cool even if the horizontal resolution it's not complete, and the art style it's als pretty distinctive.

The main issues with this game are that it is really short, the second and third gameplay styles feel incomplete because they have less levels and bosses than the first, the music it's not bad but really nothing especial , and the difficulty it's for the most part very low for this kind of game, except the final boss, which is a notorious difficulty spike, and while the game has a hard mode, it mostly just adds limited continues, something that doesn't really make the game harder but more restrictive.

Regardless of this issues, this is a really fun game and I partiularly enjoyed using the Wiimote on the Wii U version as a fan of many point based game on the Wii, so if you have the console and a Wiimote I recomend this game a lot, and if you don't the touch controls are fine. This is a must have for sidescroller action fans.
