  1. Cars is not the most complex racing game around, but it manages to capture the Pixar spirit very well. Aside from this, it’s an enjoyable game with solid gameplay and a great presentation.
  2. It’s simplistic and easy, but if you have a friend it can be a good option to the other Wii racing games. Although I’d stick with Excite Truck, those looking for more speed in their Wii could see Cars as more unique approach.
  3. Steering Cars with the Wii Remote works pretty nicely, but some of the minigame control schemes and a few Wii-version-specific bugs conspire to drag down this film-licensed racer.

The game uses the Wii-mote decently, utilizing tilt to maneuver the car, but the choice in controller layout and lack of customization options for steering could turn fans off from the one-trick-pony that the Wii design ends up being.
  5. Although, Cars has been released for all the other consoles it might be the most fun on the Wii given the motion sensitive controls.

Don't expect to put the pedal to the medal and this is harmless Disney-fied racing. [January 2007, p.56]
  7. Cars is a great game - for kids. For the rest, as fun as the game is, there is not much substance to keep more mature gamers entertained.

A pretty good movie adaptation game with a good amount of collectables, fun races, and exploration. But lacking in pretty much every other way.
