In addition to the solid single-player adventure, The Force Unleashed II has a Super Smash Bros.-inspired multiplayer component that's good fun. [Dec 2010, p.]

The Force Unleashed II is a better sequel on the Nintendo's plattform than PS3/X360 versions. Great visuals, fluid combat and good playability.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II for the Nintendo Wii is definitely better than the first episode, both for graphics and controls. There has been no attempt to implement some real time lightsaber action in the game, however the character can execute dozens of moves and that's definitely fun.

The even-handed implementation of motion control, the introduction of Wii-specific Force usage, and the well-executed multiplayer mode set this edition apart as its own product.

Distinctly lacking in character and longevity. [Christmas 2010, p.70]

The Force Unleashed does a good job of, er, unleashing the force, but beneath the flashy powers and lightsabers this is a tame and outdated game. [Issue#56, p.67]

Outside of the excellent multiplayer, there is still some fun to be had in Force Unleashed II.

Graphics are borderline next-gen quality and among the best yet seen on a Wii. Game play is great and laser fast. Normal mode is a bit easy but makes you feel super powerful. For those looking for a real challenge turn up the difficulty a notch. Expand

Compared to that game, this one deserves like, a twelve. This one has no waggle-to-attack (thank goodness) and Starkiller holds his lightsabers backwards, like he is supposed to! Combat is way faster, should make twitch gamers happy. Controls really tailored to suit the Wii, this is so important, as you might imagine. Camera is better, I never felt like I was lost or couldn't see, and that happens to me in a lot of games, so. I know this is a Star Wars game, and you should expect this, but, man, the sound is sweet, too. Nothing quite so gratifying as hearing that lightsaber sizzle and crack again and again as you wail on some Imperials!! Makes you feel powerful. Expand

The game is action-packed and has a great pacing. The graphics can be hit or miss in spots, but overall are very nice looking, especially for a Wii game. The story is the typical generic but entertaining star Wars plot, and being able to mow through hordes of storm troopers makes it go by quick. That being said, this is a really fun game. The single player alone makes it worth playing, but the multiplayer definitely makes it well worth buying. Expand

I was breaking walls, chopping off limbs, and felt like a total badass. Then I got to the next level where I was breaking walls, chopping off limbs, and felt like a total badass. Then, in the level after that, I was breaking walls, chopping off limbs, and felt like a total badass. See what I am getting at here? REPITITION. Pretty much every level was the same. All the enviroments have walls that break the same way as the last. The enemies all die the same way. And because Starkiller is such a badass, the game is way too easy. Even Darth Frickin Vader is a total pushover. Its still worth a rent, though, and a ton of fun on the first playthrough. Expand

This version of Wii had a couple of new maps compared to the other versions, but the graphic donwgrade is obvious, although it's somewhat better than its Wii predecessor. There were changes in the gameplay and a couple of innovations. It ends up being a repetitive experience but something pleasant. Expand

GRAPHICS- mostly good, nearly next gen at times 9/10 ADVENTURE- This game is short. Really short. Also, not to beat a dead horse, but this game moves jedi and the force further away from mystical warrior monk toward super powered choreographed sword havers. The premise is entirely shoe horned into SW continuity. 5/10 MECHANICS- The controls are very well mapped though seem slightly laggy. 8/10 EXTRA- The ending was crap. Vader losing the fight was total crap thrown in to make gamers feel cool, kind of like the ridiculous super hyper ELECTRIFIED force powers. The inexplicable disappearance of your clone from the Good ending (he kills you in the Bad ending) was crap. This game reeks of prequel mentality. 2/10 A solid rental game good for a single play through and possibly worth owning if you are completely blinded by the dark side. 6.66/10
