I know I like to review wii games but I also want to review virtual console games. One game in mind is zelda 2 the adventures of link. It's aI know I like to review wii games but I also want to review virtual console games. One game in mind is zelda 2 the adventures of link. It's a great game and I remember it as a child. Now the first legend of zelda is a true masterpiece. So is a link to the past and Ocarina of time. This game is a sqeual to the first nes zelda game where zelda is in a sleeping spell and ganon is dead and turned into red ashes. Now the monsters want to revive him by using the blood of link. So the only time you see ganon is when the game is over. Anyway on to the game it's a side scroller and an RPG mixed together. The world map is an overhead view and you can explore forests, towns and caves, While your exploring the world map you'll see black figures appearing near and if you touch them you'll go into an encounter and fight them to get experince points. Must RPG's I know usually do random encounters. Let me tell you Final Fantasy 2 on the virtual console (SNES) In this game you don't see what hits you and that's as random as you can get and it was a true RPG Masterpiece. There're 2 ways to get experince points which is by defeating enemies or collect "P" bags. There's no shops or anything in this game is money doesn't need anything here. In towns you can learn spells, talk to people and pretty do whatever you want. In palaces you have to explore them to collect items and place crystals there. At the palaces you must fight a boss now some can get tough but some others are pretty easy if you're really good at this game. Another thing I wanna mention is that everytime you lose all your lives you start all the way back to the beginning of the game. Awwwww!!!! That's nice. Why not have a save point or something. I bet some of you don't know is that if you jump on top of the screen and turn into a fairy something glitchy happens. Like when I was in palace 2 in the 2nd quest I jumped off the top of the screen and turned into a fairy and I ended up stuck on top of the roof. So this game does have some glitches, Now for the enemies their kind of werid in a way but there's one in mind that never dies!!!!! Those floating skulls. You can try to stab them all you want but they will never die. After you do everything in the game it leads you to the grand palace which is made of gold. At least when you die there you start there. At the end you fight the thunder bird and Shadow link or dark link some people say. In the end it's a great game and some people find it easy while other's find it hard. For me I like it and I will play it when I have nothing else to do with my time. Full Review »

But in my opinion, it's better than the original. Sure, it's difficult. Sure, it's ugly, even for an NES title. And yes, GOING BACK TO THE START OF THE GAME BECAUSE YOU GOT A GAME OVER IS COMPLETE ASS, but there's enjoyment to be had with this title. The combat is some of the best in the series, and the soundtrack is just pure pleasure to the ears. I do think Nintendo should experiment with this formula again, just make it less IMPOSSIBLE!!! There's enjoyment to be had with this game, but the negatives are keep it from being a great Zelda game. Full Review »

ok before I start I want to say that this game isn´t for everybody. it´s pretty hard (if you don´t grind), it´s graphic aged horribly and it´sok before I start I want to say that this game isn´t for everybody. it´s pretty hard (if you don´t grind), it´s graphic aged horribly and it´s nothing like a Zelda game. but from all the Nes games I played I enjoyed this one the most and it´s probably my third favourite zelda game (behind twilight princess & Ocarina of Time). the combat was simple but challenging and rewarding if you could master it and the platforming was pretty good (not as good as Megaman or Mario but still good). it might kind of a guilty pleasure and it´s nowhere near as polished as many of the other zelda games but I really enjoyed playing it Full Review »
