AceGamezIt looks great, it sounds good and it plays like a real dream, the simplistic gameplay revealing hidden depths and strategies the more you play, with plenty of hilarious moments of death or glory in every game you can play. Blowing up your friends really has never been so much fun!
-
Every 360 owner needs to make this part of their collection. Just make sure to step away from your chair, and occasionally embrace reality; something I often have the custom of forgetting.
-
Hudson made a mistake releasing Act Zero last year, but boy oh boy have they ever made up for it with the masterpiece of Bomberman Live. My hat off to the guys at Hudson Entertainment for giving us one of the best versions of Bomberman since the Sega Saturn.
-
It’s multiplayer Bomberman at its finest. With Bomberman Live! you don’t have to get a Wii to play some good, local multiplayer.
-
Bomberman Live is accurately priced at 800 Microsoft Points and is really a must-have for anyone's 360, whether they primarily play online or off.
-
The formula is as hectic and hilarious as it's ever been, and having it reside on a hard drive, ready for eight-player online action at any moment, makes it the perfect Live Arcade title.
-
The various game modes, customizability of Bomberman and the ability to play both online or offline with friends makes for a package that, at the price, can't be beat.
-
For a mere 800 Microsoft Points, gamers can experience party gaming at its best- a form that isn’t bogged down by senseless side-plots and gimmicky gameplay. As an added bonus, the developer plans to add new maps and costumes in the near future, further increasing replayability for the title.

-
Hardcore GamerWhile a few more arenas would have been nice, this is the ultimate modern Bomberman, and one of the best multiplayer games around. [Oct 2007, p.66]
-
Out of the 48 Live Arcade titles that I digitally own, Bomberman Live tops them all.
-
The most well-rounded and customizable game currently available on Xbox Live Arcade. The graphics are crisp, the animations fun and the options are many. It's so good, it even makes up for Bomberman Act Zero. Yes, it's THAT good.
-
The random costume drops and incredibly clever Achievements will keep gamers playing this one for weeks on end; beyond that, the addictive gameplay will make it hard to put down the controller, even with the few obvious blemishes in Live gameplay and limited single-player levels.
-
The game certainly doesn't disappoint in this regard and provides some of the most frenzied gameplay you'll find on Xbox Live Arcade.
-
Even though this is a very simple game to learn and play you will be amazed at how fun it is.
-
Official Xbox MagazineA full-service Bomberman experience - Live Arcade is the perfect platform for it, and $10 is a fair price. We just can't resist. [Sept 2007, p.73]
-
Yep, Bomberman is one of the greatest party games of all time.
-
At $10 it's hard to imagine a better deal; the game is loaded with a ton of content and a great multiplayer experience making this a must-own party game for anybody who loves fast-paced action games.
-
The game is a ton of fun, very dynamic in terms of gameplay, and more than worth the asking price of 800 Microsoft Points ($10USD).
-
Bomberman is all about having that easy to play, casual multiplayer gaming session...the same motif that all Live Arcade should possess. Do yourself a favor and purchase this game as soon as possible.
-
This game retains all the core fun and challenge of the original as well as keeping the charming visual style intact, and with unparalleled freedom to create and customize your own game sessions and rules, there is no end in sight for the addictive gameplay you will experience with Bomberman Live.
-
The full Bomberman experience with a ton of options and addictive online mode. XBL Silver members approach with caution.
-
A cheap, polished online-enabled offering that fans and newcomers should embrace heartily to their bosoms. It's exactly the sort of quality offering that Microsoft should be extracting from developers of Live Arcade titles and one that should bring a smile to the faces of any right thinking gamers.
-
Bomberman’s always been about party-style multiplayer, anyway. And as such, Bomberman Live delivers where it counts.
-
While it's not the most perfect version of Bomberman ever (a better variety of maps and a better single-player mode would have went a long way), it's Bomberman on Live and that's pretty exciting (and as fun as ever) in and of itself.
-
Xbox World 360 Magazine UKA stripped-down game that gets it right and makes it look easy. [Oct 2007, p.94]
-
Bomberman is the rare game that feels as natural after a round of Uno as it does after a Gears of War deathmatch. The action could come a bit quicker, but when it does, it's still a thrill after all these years.
-
This game has a short offline fuse, but is a blast to play online or with friends.
-
Not many risks were taken in bringing Bomberman to the Xbox Live Arcade and the game is still a lot more enjoyable in multiplayer, but it's hard to go past Bomberman Live for an enjoyable multiplayer experience that has truly stood the test of time.
