The amount of new content is staggering. I spent 10 hours yesterday and barely scratched the surface. The new quest interface is much more organized and easy to use. The amount of quest/story lines is amazing. The only downfall of this expansion is I don't think I will be able to play three characters anymore. Expand

It`s true vanilla destiny was a beta of the taken king, but we got to be objective and judge this DLC/game for what it offers. I will be referring about the TTK as the legendary edition, the physical 60$ dollars one, and it has tons of content if you look at it as a brand new game. Do you want a list? ok 1. about 40 missions , 2. 13-17 maps of pvp, 3. A lot of weapons i can even count and 4. Three new RAIDS and another endgame content. If you have never played Destiny or you stop at level 20 this is the perfect moment to grab a copy for you and your friends and star shooting!!. Expand

Nathan Fillion helped Bungie knock this one out of the park!

As for the critic score you can bet it's got Activision recommended score according to an unspoken contract, and payment to several review parties (including Youtube). Plus they were also calculating all other major improvements that were not associated with The Taken King (i.e. story progression character leveling up and other mandatory improvements that should've with the original story) as part of the Taken King dlc to make it seem bigger, and lastly The Taken King is over valued even at 40 bucks, though most people need to realize that it's Activision employing all these dlc's schemes, except now Activision doesn't have to worry about producing a new story like they did with Infinity Ward and the Call of Duty franchise.
