Kevin Spacey is Jonathan Irons -- one of the most notorious men in the world -- shaping this chilling vision of the future of war. The game unfolds in a plausible future in which technological, telesis and today's military practices have converged with real world consequences. In this image of the future, Private Military Corporations have become the dominant armed forces for many countries who must outsource their military needs, redrawing borders and rewriting international law. Irons, the founder and president of the world's largest PMC, Atlas Corporation, is at the vortex of these tectonic plates.

Suit up for combat in exoskeletons that advance every facet of a soldier's battle readiness, enabling combatants to deploy with an advanced lethality and eliminating the need for specialization. Players tout enhanced player movement and verticality through boost jumps and grappling, covert cloaking abilities, and biomechanics that provide keen strength, awareness, endurance, and speed. With the advent of the exoskeleton and newly advanced armor and weaponry, every soldier commands tactical freedom in any terrain unlike ever before.

Advanced Warfare is already legendary. Boosting is awesome, mind-blowing and fits the game like a latex glove. I pity Treyarch, who'll have to pull out all stops to surpass this one.

Boasting the tightest multiplayer of the series and one of the strongest campaigns, Advanced Warfare proves that Call of Duty is here to stay — and it’s welcome.

Advanced Warfare is Call of Duty’s true starting point for a new generation.

Multiplayer feels wonderfully fresh, thanks to the added agility of Exo Suit boosting. Sadly, though, co-op is unimaginative, and the story fails to satisfy when compared to previous installments.

Advanced Warfare is still Call of Duty, but it's more playful, knowing and refreshing than COD's been in years. [Christmas 2014, p.112]

Satisfying fans is one thing, but this one subverted my skepticism and brought me back.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare upholds the status quo and aims no higher than that. Its sci-fi trappings are but shallow appeals to progress, and while the multiplayer is still able to provide some entertainment, the CoD formula feels anything but "advanced" these days.

The maps are insanely small, the fact they are trying so hard to be Titanfall without Mechs, it just all falls flat. I am not saying this game is terrible, but it sure isn't great either anyone giving this a 10 is a fanboy, as is anyone giving a 0 is just a hater. This game is worth owning but not at $60.00 Expand

I personally did not purchase it until the game only had a few months before Black Ops 3 came out. With that said, I can say that I did enjoy Advanced Warfare. Single player wasn't bad for a first attempt, the real highlight of it that Kevin Spacey's character. Moving onto the multiplayer, this is the same Call of Duty we are all familiar with except the addition of jet packs. The multiplayer isn't too bad either. Jet packs make the pacing faster, but it can prove challenging if this isn't your style of gameplay with people jumping around all the time. My biggest gripe with Advanced Warfare is the supply drop system, specifically the Advanced supply drops. Paid microtransactions just need to go plain simple. If you are trying to get one of the supply drop exclusives, just wait for a weapon drop event or get it from a regular supply drop. Expand

Those games include Modern Warfare 3, Ghosts, and now Advanced Warfare. I enjoyed all call of duty games, even world at war, but those three games I mentioned are awful. Campaign is pretty good, and the graphics are amazing. Unfortunately the multi player is pitiful once again. Most weapons are pretty bad, and they recycled the worst perks from every game and put them into this one. Exo survival is pretty bland and im not even considering buying the new zombie mode when it comes out. If youre like me and hate Ghosts, MW3, and Advanced Warfare, i would wait till the next game produced by Infinity Ward and Treyarch comes out. Expand

Really a terrible game. By far the worst of the series, if you wanna know why, just go watch the trailer.
