    Project Root delivers on its promise of a bullet-hell style game with twin stick controls, but the mixture comes with plenty of issues. Those looking for a grindy-challenging affair that is mechanically sound will not find their money wasted, but I still wish it was fine-tuned for a more enjoyable experience.

    Project Root connect the spirit of the classic shooter with hints of open world . But the result is too uneven because of the many flaws in graphics and game design. It's hard to recommend buying this title, albeit at a fairly low price.

    Project Root presents a very good base idea, but with a poor implementation; we liked the idea of a top-down 360 degrees non-linear shooter, but its generic art design, many glitches and bad game design decisions keep it from even touching its full potential.

    There's scope here for a good game were a bit more work put in, but the smart money says that you'll be way more frustrated with Project Root's patently unfair gameplay than you are impressed by it.

    A ponderous, plodding shooter with levels that drag on for aeons, that champions boring conservatism over death-defying aerobics. One of the least exciting shoot-'em-ups I've ever played.

    With terrible graphics, poor control, horrendous sound and music, worthless weapons, levels that go on for eternity, horrific artwork,With terrible graphics, poor control, horrendous sound and music, worthless weapons, levels that go on for eternity, horrific artwork, glitches, inconsistent powerups, a worthless story, this is one of the worst games I have ever played and by far the worst shoot em up I have played. I guess one positive is that the game actually functions, which given how awful the game is, I am surprised that the developers could even manage that.… Expand
