One of the better things you could spend $20 on the system for, and something every DS owner should pick up.
If you’re looking for something to cure boredom on long car rides, wanting something to cure that nostalgia itch, or simply are looking for a great game for cheap than look no further than Space Invaders Extreme 2.
Fans of the original should definitely pick this up, and newcomers, if trying to choose, should definitely select Extreme 2 for all the extra polish.
Space Invaders Extreme 2 uses the dual screen in the right way, improving the already excellent gameplay that characterized the first episode of the series. The game is immediate and engaging, with a good balance of difficulty and an awesome mix of graphics and sound.
Space Invaders Extreme 2 is a fun and solid shooter that exudes tons of old-school charm and addictive gameplay. Unfortunately, it doesn't add much new for fans of the first game, and feels pretty stagnant as a result.
If you missed out on the last game, or if you are a big old Space Invaders fan, you can’t go wrong with this puppy.
Extreme 2, though, offers little to differentiate itself. It's a coincidental callback to 1979's Space Invaders Part II: most of the improvements will matter to those who were already obsessed. For some, that's probably enough for a buy, and if you haven't played SI Extreme before, now's the time, as you're still getting an enjoyable rewrite of an arcade classic. But those who had a passing fancy before can pass it up for the time being.

Summary Shoot, attack and stave off the assault by defeating all the Invaders on the screen. After annihilating a battalion of Invaders and defeating the Boss, players move on to the next stage. But it’s "Game Over" if players lose all of their stock cannons! [Square Enix]
