Virtually perfect in its storytelling, performances, presentation, authenticity, fun factor, and respect for its unfathomably important and historic entertainment licence, Jedi: Fallen Order stands not only as the greatest Star Wars game of all time, but as one of the greatest games ever made. This is the Star Wars game we were looking for.

This is the Star Wars game we've all been waiting for. It takes the best elements of Tomb Raider, Metroidvanias, and a dash of souls-likes to create a memorable and fun experience with amazing combat that makes you feel like a true Jedi.

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order is a game worthy of Star Wars name, and although it is released by EA, there is no sign of in-app purchases and there is no requirement to connect to the internet. It’s just a rich, deep, good old action adventure title that we don’t come across very often anymore.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen order does justice to the Star Wars universe with an enjoyable mix of features and an intriguing story. It doesn't end up being particularly original and it might have been more polished, but it still emerges as one of the best games of 2019 and definitely one of the best Star Wars games of this generation.

Just by virtue of being a single-player game, with no multiplayer, no online component, no microtransactions, and no planned DLC, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order feels like a relic from a more civilized age.

The product offered here is good, but not quite as brilliant as it could have been.

On paper, these elements add up to one of the most elaborate and original Star Wars games in a very long time, but poor performance, a multitude of minor bugs, and a pervasive sense that swaths of the game are just lacking in refinement all undermine what would otherwise be an easy game to recommend.

Seriously though, this game is phenomenal. The story is great (ending was awesome). The gameplay, while not as difficult as something like dark souls, took a little bit of practice to get good at, but was super satisfying. I would say the bosses felt a little weak ( I only played on Knight difficulty). They didn't really feel like bosses, just more standard enemies.
I don't have too many complaints. One is the texture pop-in is absolutely horrendous, please fix. Also your attacks are very long and drawn out, and you aren't able to cancel them, so you are left exposed if you strike even a moment to early. And lastly, some of the climbing sections felt very spotty with their hit detection.
    Overall fantastic game

    Solid 60 fps.

The game is great. It kind of feels like Sekiro met Star Wars.
The gameplay on the Jedi Master is the best experience in my opinion, as this requires each combat to be challenging.

This is a great single player game. No In App Purchases, no Multiplayer nonsense.

The story is interesting enough, however the gameplay is in my opinion where the game shines.
Each new skill you unlock makes you feel like the powerful Jedi.

The campaign is quite short, and afterwards there is not much incentive to re-play the game apart from additional character skins etc.

If you're just playing it for the lightsaber combat, you'llThis is an amazing Star Wars game, but just a fairly servicable game overall. If you're just playing it for the lightsaber combat, you'll definitely get your money's worth because there's plenty of it and it handles it better than any previous Star Wars game. This game has some serious white-knuckling combat. It often made me furious, but it was exhilirating nonetheless.

But I do feel like they put all their eggs in one basket, because everything else is just kinda okay. The story is pretty awesome with some great motion-capture performances from a relatively small cast of characters. I love having this story that's neatly wedged between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, where the architecture of both trilogies are prevalent. I do think the narrative is pretty frontloaded though and drags by the end. That could be in conjunction with my constant deaths making me grow increasingly impatient, but I also do think the 2nd half of the game has a lot of "go here, now go here, now go back here." All of the best set-pieces are in the beginning, which I would say peaks at the Kashyyk sequence, and after that I was ready for the game to wrap it up. The finale is suitably epic though, and really makes me wish the story could've flourished in between.

I'd say the worst part of this game is how the gameplay commits to being a jack of all trades, and ends up being average in everything. The puzzles are very shallow clones of Zelda and the Arkham games. The parkour mechanics very clearly inspired by Uncharted and the Tomb Raider games, but lacking the excitement and grip that those ones have. Both these elements end up making exploration feel strangely empty, and very rarely do the environments feel naturally designed. Every room feels like the next sequence, rather than discovering an actual world you can believe and desire exploring.

I'd say it's required playing for a Star Wars fan, just seeing how this story fits into the mythos is satisfying enough. But I would say the videogame itself is just average. I'm already not a fan of these Dark Souls combat type games and shoehorning games types that I like didn't enrich the experience at all. And I feel even someone who is a fan of those games has played better versions of it. I mostly enjoyed playing it, but I probably won't ever revisit it again. I'll definitely play the sequel though, as I'm excited to see how they improve it!
