WWE 2K15 offers fans of the WWE quite a bit of gaming goodness. It has received a huge face-lift graphically and is getting closer and closer to looking like the real thing in every aspect of the game.

It is a step in the right direction - but nothing more. While the more tactical fight system plays refreshingly different from the past-gen versions it still lacks refinement and balancing.

With WWE 2K15 wrestling fans finally get to play a good looking game. Unfortunately the game is severely lacking when it comes to content.

Plagued with animation issues and horribly out of date, but plays the best game of 'pro wrestling' anything has in some time. [Issue#119, p.80]

WWE 2K15 is a slick product but on closer examination it hides numerous problems and flaws. It’s the game of tomorrow with the problems of yesteryear, a transitional game between platforms that feels like very little care has gone into crafting the ultimate simulation in sports entertainment. And that’s the bottom line.

Yes, 2K has imbued 2K15 with impressive graphical prowess, but those hot visuals don't mean a whole hell of a lot when the rest of the game feels so undercooked.

or bugs while being in the ring! Create a Finisher... this moves cant be stopped by an attack.
    dont break trough tables....

People complain about the missing MP3 Support.
Its Sonys fault. Not the fault of 2K.

Important is that 2K Made a new WRESTLING GAME
from action to simulation. Important is what happens in the ring.
Gameplay is awesome and the Stamina isnt perfect but realy good for the first try.
Now there have a stable base to improve there game.
    GOOOOOOD LUCK 2 K!!!

    Gameplay: 8/10
    Content: 7/10
    Engine/performance/graphic: 10/10

    Gameplay Improvements! Just less content...

Its not THQ/WWE anymore thx 2K.
Its now a real 2K game!
I would give that game a 8/10 but because of so many Haters ill give it a 10

    - almost no generic entrances
    - less match types than before

Since I do not care at all for most of the create options of this series (CAW, CAA, CAF, CAE, CAS) all those cuts, others are so angry about, do not really matter to me.
What I miss sometimes are the different variations when it comes to tag-team matches and the possibility of giving a different entrance to a superstar that does not actually belong to an other.

I really like the new chain wrestling system at the start of a match and I also prefer the slower pace of the matches in general.

The graphics really look good, the scanned superstars sometimes look so real. However the still need to work on the fans which still do not really look like current gen and take away from the overall great looks of the game.
All the new animations are also welcome. I like it, when after a long match, the winner leans over the ropes to show, it took almost all of his power to defeat his opponent.

Finally they concentrated on the here and now when it comes to the roster. Even though I started watching the WWE (F) in the early 90´s, I prefer a present day product. So I do not care for legends, I do not care for guys who ended their careers or got fired. So instead of Del Rio, Santino, Michaels, Austin I would rather have Los Matadores, Heath Slater and Sin Cara. But overall I am ok with the roster.

Showcase (to me) is a nice bonus (since I almost only play my own stories in exhibition mode) which gives me the opportunity to play through various feuds of the past.

So I have a lot of fun with "my personal present day roster sandbox" and since the cuts do not matter to me I can honestly rate it a "9/10".

For future releases of the series I would just like to be given back the cut out match types and some new generic entrances for heels and faces.

I wont say its bad but it certainly is nothing like the previous entries in this series. If your looking for a wrestling simulator with glitches and framerate issues then you should buy this, otherwise stick with last years edition. Expand

With all of the stripped down features (such as create a diva and create a finisher), controls that can be frustratingly unresponsive and a huge glitch that deleted over 15 hours of my progress (which seems to be very common btw) it's hard to see how this game can be shipped in such a condition?! The only saving grace for this game is that it is fun- when you finally get it to work. In a baffling design choice to remove knockouts completely (unless you perform certain OMG moments) I was incredibly disappointed.

What is good about the game though? Well My Career mode is a lot of fun and kept me coming back for over 10 hours- though it doesn't matter if the WHOLE F*CKING THING IS DELETED FOR NO REASON!!!! The character creator (though there is no create a diva mode) is well fleshed out and extensive (though previous games have had more content)- again though if your copy decides to delete itself it really doesn't matter how many customizable features you include. Finally the gameplay is pretty good- only once you get used to the controls- until then you will be hurling your controller across the room as reversals fail and when the game refuses to do simple things (throwing your opponent off of the hell in the cell springs to mind).

In summary this game is a colossal waste of money- if you decide to buy it do it when the next wwe game comes out as it'll be much cheaper than the £40 I wasted. This game however, is ideal for rental if you manage to find it.

    But seriously I want a refund 2k

Mildly impressive graphics, a massively pared down creation suite, missing game modes and an all new, slower and clunkier combat system areMildly impressive graphics, a massively pared down creation suite, missing game modes and an all new, slower and clunkier combat system are the major selling points of WWE 2K15, a game of so little importance to 2K that they seem to have forgotten to finish it. The facial scans vary from very well done to hideously inaccurate, and the new animations, while much smoother than previous iterations, are so slow and badly implemented that it feels less like you're performing the moves and more like you're triggering tiny cutscenes in the middle of the ring. Unfortunately, the MyCareer mode seems like a pile of unused potential. Its a great idea for a wrestling game, but there isn't much to it. Its severely lacking in content and mostly feels like a pointless series of matches in which you earn virtual currency to upgrade your character so that you can be more effective in future matches.

I really wanted to like this game, but the game itself (or perhaps the developers) doesn't really seem to give a **** about whether its enjoyable or not. The features are few and far between, the gameplay is plodding and dull and the traditionally massive creation options have been replaced by a sorry imitation. Sadly, I can't recommend this to anyone.... unless, of course, you like things that aren't fun. In which case, WWE 2K15 is the game for you!

Bugs and glitches, the same horrible gameplay from years past, unrealistic selling of moves, and horrible mini games rule the roost in this series.
