Lovely movie, might not be a ten out of ten for everyone but it exactly met my tastes and left me tearful yet happy. Kyle and the gang really, really put on a great show.

If you're a sentimentalist who enjoys some quirkiness it should be right up your alley too.

One of the BEST movies of 2017! What a huge surprise! A great story, with great developed characters. I found the story to be very emotional, each character acted like a real person. It shows how well thought out this movie was written. Go watch this movie!

Sometimes it's great to go into a movie completely blind, I knew absolutely nothing about Brigsby Bear beforehand, I hadn't even seen the trailer let alone knew anything about the plot and I loved it. One of this year's quirkiest movies, Brigsby Bear is refreshingly entertaining and funny.Sometimes it's great to go into a movie completely blind, I knew absolutely nothing about Brigsby Bear beforehand, I hadn't even seen the trailer let alone knew anything about the plot and I loved it. One of this year's quirkiest movies, Brigsby Bear is refreshingly entertaining and funny.

Brigsby Bear is a children's TV show made for only one person, James Pope (Kyle Mooney). He has learned everything from this one TV show and it has shaped his entire life, so when it unexpectedly ends James takes it upon himself to finish the story to his beloved TV show. There's very little I can say about the story for fear of spoilers just know that it's a wonderfully original film that you can't help but love. High emotions run throughout taking unexpected turns where it can, even with the dark undertone it's charming and enjoyable. Film fans do not miss the chance to see this. I don't care how far away your closest cinema is or what time it's playing this movie, if you enjoy film and the film making process at all definitely take the time to see it. Kyle Mooney is best known for his peculiar videos on SNL. Now, he's starring in his own peculiar movie as a man who discovers the real world after 25 years of pleasurable captivity. His obsession with a children's TV character carries over into his new life and the comedy is supposed to come from the gentle fish out of water tropes. Although occasionally mildly amusing, most of the comedy is simply stupid. To make matters dumber, the logic of this reality is flawed from the beginning and the continued absurdities strain credibility. To make matters worse, the attempts at sweet charms are equally bland. This project feels custom made for Charlie Kaufman, but first-time feature director Dave McCary (and director of video segments for SNL) can't master the deadpan humor that's needed to pull it off.… Expand
