McQuarrie understands that these films are essentially tall tales with a sense of humor, skating on the edge of parody at all times while maintaining a poker face.
[I] enjoyed McQuarrie’s ingenuity in construction, smiled occasionally at the jokes and admired Ferguson’s performance as the most interesting femme fatale in the series.
Solomane Lane is probably the best villain in the mission impossible franchise brought an atmosphere of increasing tension to the film, Ilsa Faust is one of the best additions to the spy team she has personality and charisma so much that she returns for the following films, mission rogue nation has scenes of incredible action and a full cast.
One word A Masterpiece!Literally every moment is great and worth watching it felt like thrilling and chilling!Great music, story, screenplay and acting amazing camera moments.great start with airplane climb its really filled with amazing moments like opera scene where rebecca was literally beautiful and great and the scenes were bike chase, prime minister scene and the bike chasing scene it was filled with excitement and awesomeness!benji was hilarious as hell great water scene compelling villain!Literally worth watching every single moment kept me engaging and edge of the seat from starting airplane sequence!A Masterpiece.
McQuarrie devises a film that’s a succession of riveting sequences, filmed in a way that’s active and yet elegant. The camera keeps moving within shots, but not in a subjective, jittery way, but rather like a third person narrator calmly emphasizing the essential points.
It’s a diverting ride, played out against spectacular locations, that repackages a whole bunch of familiar elements and attitudes: A little latter-day Bond, a little Jason Bourne, a little John le Carré, a little 1950s Hitchcock.
This film is good! The film created an organization with real strength to counter the IMF. This is a good part of the film, it is a step forward compared to part 4 when the old characters have been developed and we have new characters with depth.
" Refrito Imposible"
No where near as exciting as the last Mission Impossible. It's pretty boring through out the whole thing, and when i was watching at my local theater i just wanted to leave the whole time, just watch ghost protocol that one's good.
The movie looks good, and some of the action is good. But as others have said, it is sooooo predictable. So cliche. So uninteresting. So uninspired. So unoriginal. So long. So talky. So low-stakes. It just pretty much ****. I mean, if you want to leave it on while you clean house, you probably will peek in at some action sequences, chases, or fights. But you'll probably quit paying attention and won't notice it till it's over and the screen saver comes on. Not worth the time. If you want to see Jeremy Renner in a better movie, check him out in the Bourne movie he did. Talented cast wasted.
More then being sequel of MI, it looked like sequel to Jack Reacher. I Still can't understand why there was no background score in high thrilled sequences. Too much forward and backward story was confusing. Brad Bird did a great job assembling a team for IMF but McQuarrie put half of it to rest and only Job Banji would do was to show his bad comic timing skills. When the things were apparent from the start there was nothing to be found only to catch. And in the end, such a strong and powerful organization ends up grounded by catching only one solicitor. While their goal still remains confusing.
