Eh, I wasn't into it. One of the best sequences in this movie was the one with Paloma, because it was fun, action-packed, and because Daniel Craig and Ana de Armas have great chemistry with one another.

The rest of it... I get that others may see it differently, but I honestly feel like there was WAY too much focus on Madeleine Swann, and Bond's relationship with her. His relationship with Vesper Lynd in the earlier movies was wound in with the core things you expect from a Bond movie, but in this one the relationship honed in on a lot of the action (including the expense of characters I might have liked to see more of, like Moneypenny, Q, Mallory, Tanner, Paloma, etc.… Expand

So i dont know how to feel with this movie! James bond is out of character and i am afraid for the next movie. Rami was a Meh villain and i was really hyped of him. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So I've been busy lately and was looking forward to sitting down and catching up on a couple of films I wanted to see, Dune and No Time to Die. I decided to see what the critics and the public thought of No Time to Die but to my dismay, somebody named "Cantongamer" decided to complain about Bond getting snuffed at the end of said movie. And I'm like, "Oh great! Now I know Bond dies at the end". Knowing Bond was a goner pretty much killed my desire to watch No Time to Die. What happened to check the box for Spoiler Alert, Cantongamer? I'm sure Bond dodged some dangerous situations during the movie but knowing he's history at the end, so what? His luck is gonna run out baby, he's got a date with destiny coming. So "Cantongamer", next time if you're gonna **** about the biggest plot twist in the whole frickin'movie, please check the Spoiler Alert box for crissakes. Meanwhile, since I haven't seen the movie and probably never will, I'll give it a 6 since that's about what the users call is.… Expand

It was a classic Bond movie the first quarter into it, but then it dragged on for too long with no purpose. To be honest I was never that much of a fan of these Craig era films to begin with. His portrayal is rather lacklustre and insipid rather than brooding and enigmatic which I think they were actually going for. As well as that theyre all aTo be honest I was never that much of a fan of these Craig era films to begin with. His portrayal is rather lacklustre and insipid rather than brooding and enigmatic which I think they were actually going for. As well as that theyre all a little too self indulgent. We didn't need to spend 5 movies with Bond sulking and being often quite depressed coz a girl he knew for all of five minutes died. It's not good writing it's purely soap opera level.
This film is no exception to that. He's still mourning the loss over one girl while fawning over the girl from the last movie who was never interesting enough for us to care about in the first place. They devoted so much time on this soap opera sub plot that they forgot to write a semi coherent plot. I was more interested in what the hell Rami Maliks motivation was for everything he was doing than whether Bond was gonna find out he had a daughter with his ex!! Are you serious???… Expand

Not the worst Bond movie, but definitely at the bottom. The story was needlessly convoluted and disjointed. Craig's heart doesn't seem in this movie at all. Action scenes were good but nothing noteworthy. Plot scenes came fast and furious with lots of jumping around and volume/tone/color changes that made them hard to see and hear - or care about. Sadly you can already see them prepping the woke reboots using the all-new cast because they very clearly killed and/or replaced every single possible villain and classic character role with the diversity checklist. Hollywood, if we wanted to get preached at, we'd go to a church. We don't need you ham-fistedly hacking up plot points and characters to cover your checklist of woke-isms. The Bond franchise is dead and it ended with a sad whimper, not a bang.… Expand

There are holes in the story where the audience has to presume where bond ends up in the world, getting the big yellow life raft for a sinking ship that had almost sunk as he gets out of it and then is rescued by the big container ship heading where? I hope they continue the honor the author's vision, Ian Flemming, and 007 always is male agents. If not I will say goodbye to the franchise and any future movies.… Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Where to start? Maybe the main point to address is that this movie is a big big wasted opportunity. The 2/3 of the movie are really fine. While everything is to long and could be cut down without losing anything, it is Bond at its best. It is fun, great action, great acting and really feels like Bond.

However, the last third is totally disconnected. Once the finale starts I had the feeling of being in a very different movie, maybe in an episode of an old, bad 60ies spy series if that makes sense? We get the weakest Bond villain of all time, he has no motive, no agenda to speak of, he feels like a villain meme. Everything going on in his base makes no sense and is visually very ver strange.

Another problem that thing has is trying to connect all movies. Bond should not be serialized, just make one good movie at a time. Casino Royal is awesome because of this fact, they didn't know what will come and just made the best Bond movie the could. What I really have to praise is Ana de Armas. She is so good, her character is the best thing the movie has to offer and I'd love the see an spin-off with her in the lead. There is so much potential there and she is a great actress!

All in all I hope the next Bond incarnation will go back to the roots of the franchise. We need a modern incarnation of the Connery era bond movies. Not a feminized something where Bond fights his inner demons more than he fights the big bad guys.… Expand

And here we have it, the end of the Craig era with Bond.

I am a big fan of Daniel Craig's Bond so I must admit I went into this movie with high expectations. I just want to start off by saying there were some woke moments in the movie butAnd here we have it, the end of the Craig era with Bond.

I am a big fan of Daniel Craig's Bond so I must admit I went into this movie with high expectations. I just want to start off by saying there were some woke moments in the movie but really not a lot and nothing that ruins the movie, just makes you scratch your head for a second.

The production:

This was one of the first movies to be delayed by the pandemic which kept getting its release date pushed back further and further. A direct consequence of this I think falls into one of two camps at no fault of the cast and crew. You’ll have the ones who lose interest because of the year+ of waiting for release and you’ll have the ones whose expectations will be built up bordering overhyped. Take that and combine it with a director who walked off the project due to creative difference’s….things could get chaotic. The good: A lot of the films esthetic like music (Hans Zimmer), cinematography, editing and choreography range from very good to decent. The fight scenes weren’t to drawn out or long and the camera work was great also. The film also embraces the old Bond tropes of gadgets and one-liners more than any other of Craig’s series although sometimes to a fault. Bond’s family are all back in this one (Moneypenny, M, Q, Tanner, Felix) for this last hurrah. Ana De Armas stole the show despite her appearance being brief. Lashana Lynch wasn’t too bad, although I wish they did more with her character than “I’m replacing you” The Bad:

The plot…. The plot just makes no sense and the villain is a caricature of bad guys. At no point does anyone explain why things are happening what the plan is. I couldn’t help but feel like this was rushed to wrap up Craig’s tenure as Bond or this was 2 movies smashed into 1 leaving plot holes everywhere. The two main characters just don’t seem to have any chemistry, a similar issue they had in 2015’s Specter. Overall the movie lacked Bond’s charm that was present in Craig’s 4 other outings as 007.
Final:

5 out of 10, would wait for streaming. Not the worst Bond film I’ve ever seen (glares at Die Another Day) but my least favorite of the Craig installments. Even if I didn’t enjoy this movie, I’m grateful for Craig’s work as 007 and he is still my favorite Bond to date.… Expand

Well... I'm a bit disappointed. Probably the worst Craig's Bond movie in my opinion.
It was rather a Mission Impossible movie than Bond.
What I didn't like: Goofy humour, badly written characters, the new 007, wasted potential of RamiWell... I'm a bit disappointed. Probably the worst Craig's Bond movie in my opinion.

He never really felt like Bond, for me.
Craig always seemed closer to the angry, grumpy action hero, that Dalton played, rather than the suave spy, played by Connery, Moore and Brosnan. It would be nice to return to that form of actor, byHe never really felt like Bond, for me.

If action heroes are your thing, you'll find another, overly long, Bond in name only, action movie, here. Like Skyfall, expect a big, middle act lull, before an unsatisfying climax.
It's by the beats and doesn't differentiate itself from any of the other Craig Bond movies, or indeed most action movies, over the past 15 years. It plays it safe. Has some unfunny quips, some loudly telegraphed twists and on the whole will be easily forgotten.
An easy watch, which will let you text, check your social media, chat to people, go to the bathroom, fix a drink, and pay 50% of your attention to, throughout, without demanding more from you....
....And afterwards you can update your status, telling your followers what a triumph it was.

Predictable, loquacious and far too long, this latest installment in the James Bond franchise and Daniel Craig's swan song in the lead role is a major disappointment given all the build-up. While the film is to be admired for trying to do something more with the character than what was done in many of its predecessors, it unfortunately gets bogged down in these attempts at adding depth and substance, resulting in a number of talky sequences where viewers are wont to exclaim "Get on with it already." With this being Craig's final turn as 007 and with this film marking the franchise's 25th installment milestone, the picture often plays like a collection of "Bond's greatest hits," incorporating numerous references to past characters, incidents and even dialogue that seem to serve little purpose other than working them into the story for nostalgic good measure. Also, an unoriginal plot, the underutilization of certain cast members (most notably Rami Malek as the villain who's often treated like an afterthought), and the failure to employ the franchise's signature action sequences and technological gimmickry to any great degree weigh this effort down even further. Director Cary Joji Fukunaga's contribution to this legendary film series definitely comes up short of expectations, especially in light of the much anticipated build-up it received as a result of its protracted pandemic-delayed release. Indeed, if this is what we've been waiting for all this time, regrettably, it truly doesn't measure up to the hype.… Expand

As everyone knows, this is Daniel Craig’s last venture as 007 and it’s pretty much standard issue. Of course, the sinister plot involves saving the world from yet another hi-tech plague. There seems to be a bit more humor (thanks prob to the writing contributions of Phoebe Waller-Bridge) and fewer luxurious sexual liaisons, while ramping up the female empowerment angle (again, Phoebe). What this one also boasts is some story surprises unlike any before. In addition, there are a number of “tributes” to Craig’s tenure to give it a touch of sentimentality. Other than the story twists, this isn't an especially memorable final showcase for Craig.… Expand

I have seen every Bond movie, many times over. My 1st Bond movie I saw in the theater was Moonraker. I enjoy Bond for what it is, mindless action, gadgets, witty repertoire, car chase scenes, some sexism/machoism etc etc. For the most partI have seen every Bond movie, many times over. At the same time, this is the first Bond movie where I was actually bored. My wife tells me to get with the times, and Bond has to evolve to match society in the 21st century, and I try, but:

This is pretty much the first Bond movie, where the movie plot (who the villain is, and how the hell did he get all his resources to build his evil empire, etc) actually takes a back seat to his personnel life.

This movie is a chick flick love story, and not a Bond movie. It will get great reviews because of that (Bond showing that he is 'human', 'emotional' has a 'soft side' etc). Heck, should of realized what they were doing as the opening scene was almost a verbatim of the ending of Her majesties secret service......"we have all the time in the world"....

Oh well, Bond went out with a fizzle not a bang.… Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Imagine if Harrison Ford got his wish and had Han Solo die during Return Of The Jedi, and the entire movie led up to that moment. That's the feeling I had watching No Time To Die. It's been well documented that Daniel Craig was tiring of the role and this film was seemingly designed to give his version of Bond an explosive (pun intended) send off. The film's pre-credit sequence does not initially start with Bond, or some crisis that sets up the plot. It starts with a mother and young daughter in a wintery secluded home and the attack on the occupants by a kabuki masked assailant. The daughter survives and grows up to be Bond's lover. Question. If Rami Malek' s character was the assailant, and he appears to be currently fortyish, he would have been, what?, in his teens during that flashback sequence? Anywho, time logic aside, Bond appears to have retired for good and tries to put the past behind him. Ahh, but as Pacino discovered in The Godfather, every time they try to get away they get pulled back in. Bond has to save the world once again by a villain looking to unleash a DNA encoded virus that can kill targeted victims based on their DNA and those who have those DNA traits like, wait for it....family. So, Bond has become a family man with an actress he has no chemistry with, and become an instant daddy to a child just introduced. It makes his self sacrifice a bit hollow and a convenience for convenience sake. That said, the film is the very model of a modern action thriller. Beautifully shot, edited, set designed, stuntwork, etc. And Craig seems to be enjoying his last turn as Bond, as opposed to his dour, eating sour grapes appearance in Spectre. It just seems like a two and a half hour journey to get an actor out of a franchise.… Expand

My main complains would be of cause the ending which is garbage, the lack of good chemistry between Daniel Craig and Lea Seydoux (Vesper Lynd aka Eva Green surpassed her in all categories) and that they wasted Rami Malek who is an amazing actor. It is however not as awful as expected but nowhere near the better James Bond movies. It is not a replacement of James Bond with a female 007 agent as many thought and the trailers made it look. By the way: I am not against female agents. Alias is an amazing show with Jenifer Garner that work really well and I recommend. However James Bond does not transfer well into a female character. The necessary adaptations would make it something different. Lets see how the modernization of the character will turn out for the sequel. Back to the movie: There is good action (but it could be more), satisfying stunts, the visuals are amazing, Daniel Craig delivers and it has its moments. This was the last time Daniel Craig will be James Bond. I still remembered that the fans were up in arms when he was announced for Casino Royale. Today he is a frequent contender for best James Bond actor. He left his mark and impact and I want to thank him for this. After a flashback the story starts with James Bond and Madeline Swann visiting a smaller Italian town where he wants to visit Vesper Lynd’s grave. However this really turns into a fight for survival as they were attacked and a fallout happens. A few years later the past catches up to a retired James Bond when an old friend asks for a favor. So starts the story. It is the longest James Bond so far and they could have shorten it a bit. Not all scenes are great or necessary. The rest hits more than it misses but especially the ending ruins this experience. I wont spoil anything as you can easily see this referenced by a lot of reviews aka people. It is fresh and unique but definitely the last thing many want to see in a James Bond movie ever. Cast: Daniel Craig as James Bond might be getting older but always delivered his role and this movie is not different. Good performance but I wished he got better final movie. Lea Seydoux is a good actress without a doubt. Sadly she has not a good chemistry with James Bond as Madeleine Swann. Nearly everyone will say that Vesper Lynd as Eva Green is the gold standard. Rami Malek as Lyutsifer Safin is wasted. He has not much or enough time to shine and often disappears in the background. I might be the minority that likes Lashana Lynch as Nomi. Good performance and all the problems I put on the script. Jeffrey Wrigth returns as Felix Leitner. I truly enjoy the actor and his role. Ben Whishaw as Q and Gareth Mallory as M are just weaker than their previous counterparts. The banter with Q and M was often an enjoyable highlight in former movies. It is mixed here in this regard. Like I said visually the movie is amazing as are the action scenes and stunts. The soundtrack is divisive in my circle of friends. Before anyone comes to the wrong conclusion: It is not about the talents or performance of Billie Eilish. She is talent and there are no missteps in it. We had a lot of talks and are divided. For some this is the best James Bond song or far up while others including me find it a good homage but so boring. Overall this is hard to rate. The ending wants me to give a 1/10 as I do not believe in 0/10 outside of videogames (EA and Fallout 76 have taught me a lesson). However it is not garbage and carefully made even with the flaws. I think a 5/10 is valid. It could have been far worse.… Expand

The current era of symbolism wasn’t lost on me in that other Craig Bond film with Craig Bond tied up, naked and have his balls repeatedly bashed in. We went from the liberal liberated swinging sixties to this prudish regression in 2020s'. I can’t even say Craig was the worst Bond as he was never really a Bond in the first place. Jason Bourne did this style on non bond spy action way better. So this non Bond isn't even worth a rewatch for a Bourne style fan. Not thinking this is a Bond type, but a Bourne type may help HC Bond fans sit through this deconstruction of all that is quintessential Bond.… Expand

Predictable and absurd shooting scenes even for a movie. And really? a 60 year old man with a 35 year old female, and having your kid witness 50 gun murders? Bad plot and totally unrealistic, even for Hollywood.

I enjoyed emotional side of the film, perfect for a closing chapter of Craig's Bond story. Pretty cool action scenes through out the movie. Darker tone of the film adds to a suspense too. Unfortunately this movie is probably the worst entry in the Craig Bond era.

I will not be adding this one! This movie should be titled, How to Destroy a Legacy! If it had been a love/action drama I would have maybe given it a 7. What idiot thought it a good idea to kill friggin OO7 & replace him with an unlikeable "manly" woman! As a woman, I don't want a woman Bond. They killed the Agent & castrated the franchise! Movie was too slow in an attempt to make you cry. This movie needed a happily ever after ending to save it. Confusing at times figuring out who, what, why! The Villain was very weak, too. Left theater empty & a little angry. Best part of movie, some action scenes & car gadgets cool as always. RIP Bond!… Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I really like James Bond movies. The first outing of Daniel Craig as Bond is just perfect. One of my favorite movies of all time. Then Quantum was OK, Skyfall was very cool and Spectre was kind of boring. I had high hopes for this last film, the first third of the movie is pure Bond and freaking cool at that. Then the movie starts losing speed, becomes quite boring and too woke. By the end of the movie they have you hating Bond and everything he stands for. You are not sad or surprised with his demise. I think they tried to make an Armageddon type final scene but I would not shed a tear for this woke and self hating Bond. Not one tear.… Expand

The action scenes save this movie from being a complete dud. Most forgettable villain from any Bond I've seen. Weak script.
