For sheer urbane elegance coupled with technical mastery and lush, old-fashioned élan, no one working for the studios today comes close to the versatile Soderbergh.
Felt like spoof of original yet entertaining to watch!amazing comedy really every scene was filled with laughter amazing cameo by bruce wills i was laughing really hard at that julia roberts joke.Amazing to watch keeping no intentions it to be like first one.overall an entertaining movie!
Isn't good and isn't bad, it just isn't. A lethargic would-be entertainment as well as a dispiriting vanity project, it is such a misfire that it makes it hard to remember what was special about its predecessor.
These people -- the filmmakers as well as the cast -- have brought a rare sense of camaraderie to their work. Unfortunately, they forgot to bring a script. They even forgot, in the midst of their joyous self-involvement, to take good pictures of the places they visited.
Personally, I don't understand all the hate towards this movie. I enjoyed it almost as much as Ocean's 11, and the plot was very enjoyable, sufficiently complex and full of twists. I suspect that people who are complaining that it's "too complicated" are not among the smart ones. I would also like to point out that the soundtrack is as great as in the original, the antagonist is awesome and Catherine Zeta-Jones looks absolutely ravishing in this, a real joy to watch (unlike Julia Roberts). The only minor fault I see here is that the focus in the script switches a bit too much to Pitt, Clooney and Damon, not leaving the others too much screen time. Still, I highly enjoyed Ocean's Twelve and strongly disagree with ones saying that this is "terrible", "worst part of the trilogy", etc.
Undermines somewhat what Ocean's Eleven did with a more elaborate, confusing and non-sensible storyline that needs repeat viewing to understand. And somewhat forgettable. this movie isn't a lost cause. There's some unique style and tone going on here, and they're almost onto to something. But it never really carries through. But a cool vibe though.
The rat pack is back. For some reason that escapes me, it is not as sophisticated as the previous one; development feels slow and the idea of the rival who is ahead of the gang in everything does not work 100%. Let's see how about the next episode.
Classic example of an unsuccessful and not very credible sequel. The story is not very exciting and the film puts too much meat on the fire. The stellar cast does not suit a film like this.
Ocean's Twelve replaces the fun, simple plot of its predecessor with less wit and humour and a densely complex plot which confuses, rather than entertain.
