Erich Recker

Biography: Erich Recker is currently directing "One Day With..." for SOAPnet. It is an insider's look at the private lives of Soap stars. The series is hosted by General Hospital's, Wally Kirth. Additionally, Recker recently wrapped production a Paramount pilot and three seasons (39 episodes) of The Great Adventure for the Fine Living Network. The Great Adventure is an international reality/travel/adventure program broadcast in 20 million domestic homes and over 30 other countries.

Mr. Recker is the recipient of several awards including Telly, Omni, and multiple Houston Film Festival awards. Erich began his career in entertainment as an actor in his home town of Cincinnati. Some of his acting credits included, I Hate Hamlet, A Night of Comedy, and a plethora of local commercials before moving to Los Angeles and acquiring an array of bit parts including, The Abduction of Ragtime with Shelly Long. Once in LA, his younger brother (then 12 years old) joined him to advance his own

Once in LA, his younger brother (then 12 years old) joined him to advance his own acting career. With Erich managing Mathew's career, Mat hit the ground running. Mathew Botuchis' starring film and TV credits include roles such as, Eddie Munster in Here come the Munsters, Rocky in Three Ninjas, himself in Disney's Movie Surfers, to name few. Wanting more control over his own career, Erich took a staff position at the Peabody winning Channel One News and began writing and producing educational programming and long form documentaries. While there he worked with many distinguished political guests including, Mikhail Gorbachev, General McCaffrey, and entertainment personalities including, Russell Carpenter and more.

Over time he began field producing various EPKs for some of the major record labels whose clients included, Shaquille O'Neal, Dishwalla, NSYNC, and many more. Other work partners have included Paramount for The Making of Titanic, MGM for The Man Behind the Iron Mask, Disney Channel for The Making of Sgt. Pepper, to name a few. Later, he migrated to Warner Bros combining his skills in talent management with that of production to cast the hit game show, Street Smarts before going on as a producer to other projects which included Fox's, Extreme Dating, KCAL's, The Best of California, and Fine Living's, The Great Adventure.
